I can't help but notice that Ginny took her jealousy like a champ. She simply let Harry do what he must do, instead of making a fool of herself. No stalking, no unneccesary akwardness, huge respect. She got rewarded.
Well that was Hermione's idea though
She is such a valuable character because holding back all that jealousy means she always believed in Harry and she knew that he had a greater purpose to fulfill but she must have been so emotionally hurt by all the attention harry was receiving and giving and having to step away from all of it. Harry loved his friends more than her or so it must have seemed, no wonder tom riddle got her at one point (holding back makes a darker side grow)

In actual Harry and Ginny was perfect. In books Ginny was so cool, brave, couraged and popular and she was everything And perfect for Harry as she was also very talented witch and funny as well but movies did not portrayed it that much of her character, so it was kind of rushed and everyone was thinking like she is not perfect for him. And above all being with her Harry finally became part of an wonderful family which he so much desires

I love that fact, how Jily and Hinny are similarly. James and Harry look same (not surprising at all) . But Ginny And Lily? They are both ginger, proud gryffindor and soo brave. It makes me feel like Potters are always in love with ginger girls. Of course, i can't forget fact, that James was waiting for Lily's love more than six years. And Ginny has loved Harry since they met. She was waiting for him six years too. Hinny And Jily are the most adorable, sweet and wonderful couples in HP world. 💞💕

its been over a decade . i'm turned into a man from a teenager.. but still this is my favourite couple.... so underrated but the best lover story.
I think we all forget how much trauma Ginny went through her FIRST year at school at the age of 11. She was possessed, racked with guilt and fear, and kidnapped in one year! Poor thing.
I liked the moment in the books when Ginny reminded Harry how she would know what being possessed felt like because she'd been possessed by Tom Riddle. I got the feeling then that she hadn't yet recovered from her ordeal.
With the amount of screentime the scriptwriter gave to Ginny, Bonnie was doing really great at portraying Ginny tbh

Something small at 4:27. You see Harry look over to Ginny. This video shows it was slow burn in the movie but it was not totally rushed. In the books you can tell he notices the little things about Ginny throughout the series.
I'll never forget how in the movie, when Dumbledore dies, Harry doesn't let anyone come near him or console him, except Ginny. He only let's her comfort him, and cries on her shoulder ♥

Agreed: sometimes Love is a long time coming. Because it is patiently waiting on us to be in a position where we are ready. Where we are whole and healed of all trauma, so that we don't contaminate those we Love with our trauma. Love waits.

Yes, he had feelings for Ginny from the beginning but he couldn’t understand because he used to see Ginny as his best friend sister. And again in his 3rd year when he saw Cho he got a crush on her which stayed until his 5th year. When Cho suspected him and broke up then Harry finally understood his feelings for Ginny.

Harry and Hermione ended up with the brother/sister of their best friends.
I've always thought that Harry and Ginny were a match made in heaven. Not Harry and Cho because Cho was emotionally very weak and cried all the time, so they couldn't support each other. Plus, Cho and Harry were merely attracted to each other. For cho, she was trying to distract herself from Cedric and Harry, well that was technically the age teens usually start liking people.
Next, Harry and Hermione.
Hermione was more of a sister to Harry, but sometimes she made him see sense and go against what he was thinking, which may not have always been right. For instance, she kept warning him not to see sirius, which made sense, but it wasn't the best for Harry. What he wanted to tell Sirius was something only Sirius could understand. Plus, Hermione always encouraged Harry to get rid of his weakness ie. Him seeing into Voldemort's mind, and when they could use it to their advantage, she says that they shouldn't have seen it at all. So basically she is stuck to the fact that whatever good a weakness can cause, you have to get rid of it. No hate to Hermione, she was a great sister to harry, but they will never be a good couple.
Ginny and Michael Corner were a strong couple, but the only problem was that Michael was a bit petty and treated Ginny like she was fragile, when she's not. She's a tough woman, and Michael failed to notice that. This was the same problem with Dean.
Harry and Ginny were very common in a few ways. Both of them knew what Voldemort was capable of, both were affected by Dementors, both of them found the same things funny, both loved Quidditch and were good at it and both of them were headstrong people. Ginny would not bag Harry off to get rid of his weaknesses, and she encouraged him to do what he wanted. She also always understood the gravity of a situation and understood why Harry wanted to do something, even if she wasnt told the reason. Harry never let himself control Ginny or treat her like she was fragile, but at the same time he knew what could be dangerous for her. He loved her enough to let her go, and he loved her throughout everything he went through, which is an example of his unconditional love for her. Ginny also returned it by understanding his situation and not creating a scene. She also listened to him when she wouldn't listen to anyone else ie. Battle of Hogwarts.
So therefore, Hinny Forever!

I just feel the movies could have used a scene or combination of scenes from the books which portrayed Ginny more accurately, rather than concoct a nonsense about Harry losing his head and chasing Bellatrix and Fenrir through the fields, while the Burrow unaccountably burns down...?!

i love that they ended up together, when you rewatch the movies the subtle qued make sense more then ever. she isnt plan, shes perfect for him. its also a unique love intrest for a story, usually its a girl the guy has to win over. she had a crush first and had to get over it, i dunno. just seems super intresting. well written and realistic for some situations.

Ginny was the most suitable one for Harry. Hermione was never an option. She was like a mother or elder sister to Harry. She protected him and took care of him.
On the other hand Genny was attractive and interesting personality and liked harry. With Genny, Harry became a part of a one big Loving and caring family. The Weasleys were purely magical family and Harry always felt at home with them. With Genny, harry got the family he always longed for. And hey, he still has Hermione as a part of family . After all she is the sister in law of Harry's wife.

Absolutely, if your sole source has been the movies the producers overlooked Harry's and Ginny's relationship, just to push Harry and Hermoine. In the books it details their relationship very well
People say Ginny isnt shown as good as she is in books but still the character is loved the most. Her moments are heartwarming. The scene where she shouts when she hears harry is dead gives me chills every single time i see it.

To be honest this video highlighted alot of scenes I just flat out missed or didn't quite catch or read into in the movies. It really goes to show how early their relationship was started to be hinted at.

Harry and Ginny had a true relation be it books or movies though the movies did not focus much on that but yeah their chemistry is too good as they both did not met at first they did try finding their true match and in the end we got a beautiful couple come together. one more thing the edit is very beautiful makes me feel their relationship truly mor than the movies were able to .
