This was 100% the best step by step explanation for lighting I've ever seen. And I've watched hundreds or tips and tricks tutorials for lighting. Most of them are filled with examples of different lighting and leave it up to you to figure out the best ones to use. But for a beginner it is a lot harder to learn from a very broad list when you have limited supplies. Even tho you guys have more expensive equipment, it's easier to find cheap alternatives for specific lights then trying out lots of other ways and having it not work together.
This channel has really stepped up there game when it comes to quick comprehensive tutorials that get to the point. Thanks guys!

4:25 Please, always use the second method mentioned here, and let the videoplayer create the "cinematic" bars. Unless you purposefully wanna piss off the ultrawide master race.

fluff0 True, but the big problem is that YT doesn't allow end cards on 21:9/ultrawide yet, so we're forced to use old school click annotations.

2:56 I believe there's not always continuity in terms of lighting in movies, you always arrange the lights the way it looks great for the scene, but at the same time it has to be subtle although if you pay attention to the changes, you'll notice, principally in reverse shots where you are like "is his back supposed to be illuminated but when the angle changes it's obscure"
