In this video, I'm departing from the Indira Gandhi International Airport, heading to Sri Lanka after a considerable period of travel adventures. Enjoying the beautiful views from the flight, I reached the Bandaranaike International Airport. Waiting to welcome me were my Sri Lankan hosts, Chamdo and Kaweera, who had come to pick me up.
As I stepped out of the airport, the essence of Sri Lanka began to envelop me, resonating with what I had imagined, heard, and researched on the internet. Eventually, I arrived at the Millennium Elephant Foundation, an elephant orphanage. There, I spent a significant amount of time with these majestic creatures, gaining insights and getting up close to understand this silent giant, just as I had envisioned Sri Lanka to be.
The foundation also houses a museum, and exploring it adds a unique dimension to the experience.
