I really appreciate your realistic approach to expenses. I think many people underestimate that if you were to have a brick and mortar store, you would be spending just as much, if not more, with no guarantee of foot traffic. These cons enable you to target specific audiences and gain brand recognition nationwide. Moreover, it was a well-deserved vacation for you 💖.

I used to always break my nails too when setting up! So I try to remember to either do my nails or just put nail strengthener on before any con!! ♡ glad you enjoyed your trip though!🎉

It's actually really fun to see an AA artist that uses shows as mini vacations. That's my outlook going into every convention I've been interested in selling at. As long as I break even and get to eat some good food and stay in a nice hotel, I consider it a win for me. Especially if I can meet friends while I'm there or have them as my booth helpers. Sometimes it's less about the profit and more about the experience!
Why is it important to you to you to specify an "AA artist"? Why is that somehow more fun than anyone else?

Haha I’m glad you think so! Some cons I go to definitely have more “work trip” energy but I’m trying to do less of those and just go on cons where they can be mini vacations!

Kawaiikon is my home convention and I've missed it so much since I've moved away for school T^T It's crazy to see how much it's grown since I was last there pre-covid!!
The way my jaw dropped when you said you might do Dokomi. Your videos were such a big help when I started doing cons and Dokomi will be my first big one. It would be awesome to actually meet you
It's crazy how much flight prices have gone up, it used to be easy to find a good vacation deal. Glad to hear you are coming to Animazement, that's finally near me 🧡I love that you were gifted that super cute cosplay sticker, I would've ugly cried lol. I can imagine it's nice being able to network and meet each other at the cons, that's got to be another perk, the artist/artist love.

I think in general most artist has seen lower sales this year as a whole, it could be due to the economy being a little down or this year the convention had way more artist. So there is more areas to spend at booths.

Julianne, may I say that one of the things I appreciate the most is that you want to make your travel a pleasant and smooth experience! This is how I travel, too, and especially when it's for work there's no way you should drain your energy even further with a 10 people AirBnB or low-quality food.
So for every weird person who feels entitled to judge you for this, please know there's another person viewing you as a healthy down-to-earth role model. I do!

Really enjoyed the vlog, if it’s alright with you would you be willing to do a breakdown of what sells for you at cons. Maybe a percentage breakdown of what portion of the total revenue the sticker sheets bring vs big prints and smaller prints? Happy to hear you’ll be be doing C2E2 again!
Who tf is coming up to you to judge how you spend your hard earned profits?? You should be able to enjoy your earnings and enjoy new experiences while you are in new places. You are not just a work horse. Please ignore those haters. I love that you are able to enjoy yourself while going to work at cons because it does give yourself a balance of work and play. We appreciate the transparency you give us especially those who also prioritize experiences as well as working.

Love the disclaimer about how much you spend haha but you shouldn’t feel bad about it all. It’s your money and your business and you’re free to spend it as you like! Also you’re contributing to the Hawaiian economy, just think of it that way lol
Appreciate the transparent price breakdown , haters gunna hate and tht sucks. You're transparent as it is that the money spent isn't like a necessity to go and set up , people have different values and income to do with what they want. Hopefully people stop approaching you in person to complain about your spending habits that's goofy.
When you go to the Germany one can you take us to one of their art supply stores or one of their museums?
So, if you can spend the money and it gives you not only an income but experiences as well, isn't this why we are making money, not to mention the freedom that comes with being self-employed AND making money.

Hi! Could you not use "PTSD" as a replacement for being anxious or worried? (For additional context, it's in reference to the incoming storm). It's a word that gets overused and misused ALL the time and while I enjoy your content, it does cause a knee-jerk reaction whenever you use words like that incorrectly.
