Love that you talk about inventory amounts. So few people talk about how much they bring to cons, so when they say they “sold out” of something, it doesn’t mean much to me. Appreciate the transparency and congrats on your success.

Hey!! I was to your left, sharing a booth with my friend who you said didn’t do so great that weekend. It personally went really well for me (my third best con), and my friend and I agreed that we need our own booths for next year instead of sharing one again LOL so I think having 10 feet to yourself definitely boosts sales. Thank you for the stickers and donuts and good luck at all your future shows!!

Also, I had to laugh a little, I also do conventions and they are 10 to 10, when you said "When do you eat?" I went like "You just don't" 😂 But seriously, when it's busy, like, you can even snack, you will be talking to people all the time, taking money, putting your stuff in bags while the next one is waiting and sometimes is so crazy I survive on Monster cans, two, sometimes 3 (Yes, I know it's not healthy, no, I haven't died yet 😂) But yeah. You get home, eat, pass out and repeat.
But it's so worth it!!!! ♡

There’s a grocery store 5min walk down the street. It has normal prices (normal coming from the low, stable price of Midwest). You might get away with $50/day food cost using the grocery store

Otakon 2023 was my first convention and I went with my older brother we thought that the artist alley was the dealer's room. I swear I think I spent like $200 just at oimo's booth and well over $500 everywhere else.

May I offer a suggestion. Rounded corners are AWESOME ❤️❤️❤️ ( mean that sincerely, I want rounded corner business cards) but it’s labour hours. I’ll not do them.
The piece counting of your stickers…. Their are weight scales (used in money counting, maybe features in cheaper scales now) that you can average the weight of 3-6 pieces and then weight the stack for the piece counts.

Counting stickers by hand…. You could try measuring the thickness of 10, 20, 30, etc It’s fairly accurate since the medium has a consistent thickness. If you’re off, you’re off by 2 or 3 on a stack of 50 or 100.
Julianne, I have a recommendation. If you do return to Otakon this year (30th Anniversary) I recommend Unconventional Dinner (for breakfast spot) it’s 6-8 min walk from convention center

imagine it costing 110$ for a booth in USA, and then you go to a third world country like romania and the booth costs aprox 280$ US (and as an example an A3 poster is usually 4$-7$ and one sticker ~0.50cents
