This was one of the best video I've seen thank you for this post and thankful that I've came across this video.
Thanks! I appreciate it.👍
Looks good, makes a big difference 🤘🏻
Sweet man! Huge difference. Lookin good.
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it.
Very nice tacoma, super clean look. Congratulations.
Thank you! I appreciate it🤝
Beautiful. I’m going with the same set up! Good shtuff
Thanks!
Sick!!!! My favorite set up so far. Cali guys know how to set up trucks
Thanks!
thats pretty much what my perfect truck looks like
Thanks! I love it too
If you take off the sway bar it’ll do pretty good off road I didn’t like it at first till I hit the dirt and man it feels smooth
Thanks for the tip I'll keep this in mind. Sick white Tacoma too 👌
Clean set up bro
Thanks bro, lifting the truck reminds me of the integra days. Lol
Nice taco! Was interested when I saw your post which showed you lifting your taco n all! Should take it on some trails to test the suspension, would love to see more taco vids, not saying fishing isn’t entertaining… 😅
Thanks! I wish I can it off-road more but I don’t any trails.
I wonder what a matte white wrap (or any color matte wrap actually)would look like on this truck, looks very clean tho!
Thanks! I dig matte wraps too
thinking of doing this too my sr5
Do it! No regrets!
Beautiful truck
Thank you!
So sick!
Thank you!
How can i know the correct lug nuts for after marquet rims?what are the measurement of them if we can't use the stock ones?
Every aftermarket wheels is different it's best contact a tire shop but mine I used extended thread conical lug nuts not the oem ones.
Does the rear sits a nose high? Wow your truck came out awesome man! White tacos are the best in my opinion 👍
No, it has a little bit of a rake. Thanks I love white Tacomas too.
Nice it looks really well good job wow Covid restrictions in California must be terrible I only saw three vehicles in your video Car park was completely empty the road you were driving down was empty I live in the Rocky Mountains in Canada and I see way more traffic than was in your video .PS that was terrible park and you were up on the curb and you weren’t between the lines nowhere close LOL
Lol it was terrible parking, yes unfortunately my state is still locked down but there was no traffic because it was filmed early sunday morning to avoid loud noises. Thanks for watching!
Also where did u buy the 6112 from and we’re they assembled with the ride height clips in mind
Yes, I bought them assembled already. Subscribe if you like I'll do a breakdown of how much and where I bought them soon.
How’s it handling and tire ware? Wheels have an obvious negative camber to avoid rubbing I can even notice it in video. Just wondering what effect this has on ride?
The truck is noticeably stiffer, which can be good and bad. Cornering is better, brake dive is better but running over pot holes is terrible. Tires have held up great although I haven’t put much miles on them. Alignment specs are not the greatest considering the truck is lifted on stock control arms but overall I’m happy.
This is exactly the look I am looking for. Did you use the existing stock upper control arms? Do you get a better ride than with the stock setup? I have a terrible nose dive on mine when you come to a stop. I hate when that happens.
I still have the stock UCAs, it definitely rides better and definitely less nose diving.
Great video, thank you.
What running boards do you have? Do you remember where you got them?
Thanks! They’re OEM Toyota aluminum running boards that I bought with the truck.
@@TheCastLife oh nice! Never noticed them. Much better and cleaner looking that the “predator” steps.
Hey, I hope ypu are enjoying your lift and wheels! It looks cool. How does it ride with AAL and by keeping the factory load spring in? I see most people taking them out but I'm thinking it will give you the true 2" lift and better towing capacity?
Thank you! I am enjoying the suspension. And you're right that's the reason why I kept the overload spring in for the extra .5" lift and extra payload. Right now my suspension has settled a little bit and it's close to level but the rear is slightly higher.
@@TheCastLife Cool, good to know. That's okay. Thats how the truck is anyway. Maybe it will give it better aero dynamics. Lol.
Thanks again for your feed back!! It helps a lot.!
Very nice, same color, different model . put black door handles and rear bumper caps. Put TRD rims, just got my Bilsteins, plus UCA -total chaos. Just waiting to have them installed. Once done, I can put some 33 in tires . how does the new shocks ride compared to the stock? Are you going to do any more mods?
That's cool! I want UCAs too but I don't have the budget for them right now. The Bilsteins are nice they feel softer in the front but I think the rears are a bit stiffer due to the 1.5" AAL and stock overload spring. The next mods I'm doing is some lighting, LED headlight bulbs, baja designs foglight and maybe a behind the grill light bar.
@@TheCastLife you need uca, cab mount chop, pinch weld hammer, diff drop, carrier bearing drop, brake line extender, needle bearing, and a true 3” suspension lift so you can actually do some off-roading
It looks good. Those rims and tires size seem to be the happy medium for our trucks with a 2 to 3" lift. I don't want my tires sticking out past the fender wells and those look just right. Please let me know if they rub at all when you drive in some rough areas or big dips. Thank you. 🙂
Thanks! 0 offset is the most poke I would go. As right now on a flat surface no rubs.
@@TheCastLife Also, I watched your video when you lifted it (well explained BTW ) and how you measured from the ground to the bottom of the finder. Did you gain another 1" or more by putting on 17" rims and taller tires?
@@davidr.1517 yes another 1" of lift from the tires.
@@TheCastLife Nice, Good to know!! Thsnks again for your well made video's!
Of course it runs at full lock when stuffed, you have to have true 3” lift which bilsteins cannot do, cab-mount chop, pinch weld, upper control arms and fender cutting, these dam you tubers, he responded “ it does not rub on flat ground” who the hell puts a lift and 33”s and then only drives on flat ground? Mall crawler
I have the same wheel tire set
That’s awesome!
Do you have any rubbing. Like when going over speed bumps, or when turning the wheel all the way and going up/down driveways or speed bumps? Lift and wheels/tires look great.
Thank you for watching! I have no rubbing at all. I'll do a update video soon on the truck, stay tuned.
Go look at Tacoma forums, youtubers are Liars! Just look at the pic of his front tires in relation to his cab mount, of course it will run at full steering wheel lock and suspension fully compressed, in addition bilstein does not make a true 3” lift after settling, at the highest clip, it’s around 2.5” on Tacoma .
Only way to fit 33”s (depending on wheel offset) with Billy’s is to do a 1” top plate spacer, fender cutting, upper control arms, cab mount chop(cut and weld) pinch weld hammer, believe me I’ve been thru it. Go to Tacoma world, and do some reading from honest people. Best of lucky 🍀 Tacoma’s are the best !
Nice clean look🤙
Thank you 🤙
No problem, cant wait to get my truck also in a month. Im in the same area Modesto.
@@dannyperez3403 Nice! I'm assuming a Tacoma? If so let me know if have any questions or need help with it.
@@TheCastLife yes tacoma😁, sounds good thank you !
Looks good. Any current lift measurements? Saw the immediate post-install vid.
Thanks for watching! I haven't done a recent measurement of the lift. I'll do one soon so stay tuned.
@@TheCastLife I'm crazy high also with 6112 6/5 and 1/4" top plates on both sides on 285/75/17. 40" ground to fender. 2wd
@@bigballs1329 if you check out the bilstein 6112 lift chart for Tacomas, the 5/6 clip is only recommended for the 4x4 v6 double cab long/short Tacomas. If yours is 2wd and you added a spacer on top of that, probably explains why it's so high. I'm assuming because it has to do with the weight of the vehicle. How bad does your CV axle position angle look?
@@TheCastLife looks ok according to mechanic guy. I'd be interested in seeing how much yours settled. That chart is still off even for 4x4.
Awesome
Thanks!
I have the same truck but on black
Black cars are so hard to maintain, they look dirty after you just washed it lol. When their cleaned they're so nice.
@@TheCastLife I know I know 😞 thinking on ceramic coat
Did you have to do the cab mount chop??
No chop or no trimming
Sorry if you mentioned this, but what springs are you running?
The coil springs are Bilstein, Bilstein 6112 struts comes with their own 650lb springs.
How much does it costs for that lift?? Btw ur truck is fire!!!:)
Thanks!! The lift runs around $1200 to $1500 depending where you buy it. I paid $1150 but that was because a 15% off Black Friday Deal from Wheelers offroad.
Badass 😍👌🤙
Thank you!! 🤙
Did you get the diff drop, or sway bar relocation kits?
No but I do feel slight vibration at 30-40mph I hear it could be the driver side carrier bearing. The lift exaggerates this issue on Tacomas.
@@TheCastLife Yes, it's the drivers side needle bearing, and should be replaced with ECGS bushing.
Nice rims Looks good bro . Which model are those and how much did you pay
Thanks! They're Method 703 in 17x8.5 with a 0 offset. I paid $225 during black Friday now they're $265 per wheel.
@@TheCastLife hey bro what are your measurements with these new tires from the ground to the fender
What’s the ride quality like on the road
It's great I would recommend it.
Beautiful build bro! What offset do you have on the wheels?
Thanks brother! They’re 0 offset 17x8.5”
@@TheCastLife thanks brother! I’ve got my wheel/tire setup coming in 1 week and 1/2. So anxious man haha
Congratulations! I’m sure it’ll look nice!🤙
@@TheCastLife thanks again for the feedback bro. Keep posting the build it looks great
what’s the exact size of the wheels you got?
17x8.5
I cant choose the color between Matt black vs Bronze?
Sometimes I wish I went with the bronze but I feel I would get tired of it after awhile because it stands out too much.
@@TheCastLife yeah and now I starting to think to get the matte black
@bonifaciomagdiwang1697 it’s your choice brother don’t let me sway your decision 😂
front settled in and got 2"?
It should but I haven't measured it lately, maybe I'll do an update video.
Hey, did you get to watch my update video?
Exactly, i cannot stand when youtubers claim 3” lift with bilsteins, then they say they don’t have rubbing with 33”s, but they never go off-road!
What offset are these, 0 or -12?
0 offset
@@TheCastLife how come you decoded to go with the 0 and not -12?
At that time I believe they didn’t offer the -12 offset, I bought these when they first came out. But I’m glad I got 0 offset otherwise my tires would rub on the cab mount.
How much worse did the mpg get?
The truck’s computer saying 19.1 mpg but it’s not reading right after the bigger tires so maybe closer to 20?
@@TheCastLife that’s barely any change then nice!
Any rubbing on your setup ?
No rubbing
Yea it will rub at full lock when suspension fully compressed with 33”s on a 2” lift that he has, he says it won’t run “on flat ground” very deceptive these youtubers are. Who puts 33”s and then stays on flat ground ??
I have ig bro?
I have IG its @thecastlife
You just made your slow truck slower.
You're not wrong
I know. But you should add the Pedal Commander. You can thank me later. It’s only about 250 online. Check it out on CZcams.
Do not do the pedal commander. OV tune it. That is the right way to do it, unless you re-gear or supercharge it.
Doesn't even look 285 in the video
What size do they look?
265
@@4bvenom733 ouch that's hurts
@@TheCastLife lol...
I was just saying it look small in the video cause im planing on going 285 with a 3 inch lift too
@@4bvenom733 no worries lol maybe its my 17 inch wheels, if you want the bigger tire look 16's will be nice.
Please don’t use fish eye lenses for these kind of videos… it’s difficult to appreciate the vehicle aesthetic…
Yeah I'm used to filming in the default mode on my gopro, i didnt even realize it.
@@TheCastLife your setup looks so clean! thats why I hated the fact that you used a gopro. I’ve been looking for a taco video like yours for so long. Looks so sick at the thumbnail.
Thanks! If I make more videos with the Taco I'll film in linear mode.
