These RSX are hella crazy, one got with me in my 5.0 fbo on E85 he had a turbo setup , but still was very good runs, we were pretty much neck to neck hes pushing 390fwhp im at 480rwhp but almost 2k lbs difference.
Let me tell you something bro, if you had a turbo, intercooler, intake, muffler delete, good tune, Thats all I had done to mine, oh oh, I also had springs and retainers and the Hon-data Flash, I had the 06 RSX-s with the K20z1, (My favorite of the K series motors) So with those 5 or 6 upgrades, everything else was stock in the motor. Pistons, rods, the whole bottom end, except the oil pump and the line down to the pan and back up to the Turbo. I made a decent 515 HP to the front wheels. The motor held that power fine, And that build lasted well over 2 years.. And I still can't remember ever getting beat by a Mustang...lol, There was a guy in a 98 Supra Turbo,intercooler I believe used to come down from Long Island on the weekends in the summer time

Assuming the previous owner(s) took care of it, you wouldn't regret owning one. Just hit mine over 200K miles and still runs like a champ. The car is going to have to literally blow up on me before I choose to get another car. Plus, these cars aren't too common so you'll be driving something relatively unique.

Here in Canada i have a 2002 turbo RSX-S and a daily 2005 Type-S I got for only $1650. 130,000kms, engine and tyranny run perfectly. Some paint sucks but everything works now. Cleaned a connection to make the speakers, hearted seats and DRL to work. Newer brakes and tires. NOt real body damage except a few little dents.
That is an ecoboost it is turbo stock but saying turbo mustang will make some think its a turbo 5.0. The rsx is quick for what it is but a stockish ecoboost isn't that quick lol
I smashed brand new eco boost mustang in my 2003 Acura CL Type-S 6mt from a dig. I had only catback exhaust and Bridgestone RE-11 semislicks. Chinese guy and his girlfriend were very surprised. It was in Toronto summer 2019.

What tires and suspension you running?.. Im at 280whp k24/20.. My shit is smooth as butter. Altho I am running Hondata Traction Control. I have Hardrace full bushing kit, Type R control arms, Progress Sways, Front Bumper aero, Electronically controlled Feal 441+'s(swift springs and can control dampers in cabin).. I do run r888r's when Im racing tho, but I usually just stick with my ExtremeContacts.. I got 2 sets of Enkei TFR's(TS-10s)... Im bout to go boost tho. Trans was just built.. Mfactory LSD, GearX 1-4, Syncrotech Carbon Syncros and sleeves, and 4.7FD.. Been using an Fx400 and Ill prob stick with it when boosted.
Mine is a 2005 k20z1, just did complete head,,cai,3"hks exhaust, catalytic converter delete..not kpro yet,and runs very good..i prefer k20z1 over k20a2..plus the k20z1 have almost similar type r cams

The k20z1 is better than the K20a2.. And they have the same head, only different cams, so they will sound almost identical.

They make like 250 whp stock in a much heavier car but with bolt ons and the right fueling can make 380 to the tires on the stock turbo. They can def be quick but there are plenty of stockish ones out there to pick on

I have respect for the k series engines theyre one of if not the best 4 banger engine ever made far as all motor but the mustang haters need to educate themselves before they start talking shit
I know this isn't as fun, but take a look at the radiator if it's OEM and check the top plastic part to see if it looks like may have any cracks. RSX's radiators are notorious for those to crack after about 150K miles or so. Mine did and it couldn't have broken at a more inconvenient time. Basic bolt-ons for a bit of a performance boost I'd recommend getting a CAI or SRI, upgrade headers/exhaust, and get a bigger intake manifold. I have an RBC in mine. Also, a common thing DC5 owners upgrade is sending in their ECUs to be reflashed by Hondata or Ktuned and tune them for better performance. If you have a 02-04 DC5 then get Hondata and 05-06 get Ktuned. Stock wheels on 02-04 run a 16x6.5 wheel. That tiny tire width just wasn't grippy/comfortable enough for me. I upgraded mine to a 17x9 wheel and the ride is SO much smoother and a hell of a lot more grippy especially in corners. IMO that's almost a must-have upgrade and you'll notice a huge difference.
