Don’t believe the hype. LSU is very much a rebuilding school after 2 years ago. I believe they were 5-5 last year, grant it, it was a weird covid year. UCLA still has to prove the can hold their own against a capable team that’s good and not looking for their next set of stars.

I'm sure LSU is still decently better than they were last year, and they are a very talented team. UCLA is for real. Oregon vs UCLA will be fascinating matchup as they may replay again in the Pac-12 Championship.

Looked more like a coaching problem with OSU. Couldn’t adjust to Oregon offense at all. Oregon really dropped a 30 piece in OSU house.

Oregon ran 3 sweeps for touchdowns where the OSU defense got lost. Same play, no adjustment.

This is good for Oregon. I see them building off this win in a huge way. Now they need to use this momentum and win their first ever national championship. I'm disappointed in the loss, but Oregon deserved this win. They have a spectacular team.

I don't consider this an upset. The Ducks were ranked 12. The Ducks have been a very good program for years. The Ducks have been the only PAC 12 program to make a Playoff appearance. The Ducks have top 10 recruiting classes.

If I'm not mistaken, LSU came into the game last week with UCLA ranked #16. The Bruins were unranked. They beat the Tigers handily, impressively. UCLA vs. Oregon will be epic.

Now I agree there are ticky tack rules that make a difference. But missing a call you're allowed to go to replay for is hilariously bad.
I draw the line between an honest mistake in live action and then seeing the play 10 times and still not changing the call.
@@4realjacob637 they reviewed the play. That was literally by definition not targeting by rule. He did not hit the offensive player with the crown of his helmet. One angle clearly showed he had just as much of the top of his face mask in it that he did top of the helmet. And the officiating crew doing the reviews agrees with the pretty clear angle.
Im not even a ducks fan, but i love this win for the PaC-12.

The thing is the offense got the ball back with 4+ minutes to tie the ball game. CJ threw a pick to basically seal the game. Overall the defense didn’t play a solid game but the offense did have a chance to tie the game

UCLA looked good against LSU last week too. PAC-12 might not be the crappy conference it has been the last few years. Oregon though looks tough. Even without their star pass rusher.
This game just proves that the PAC 12 never got the credit it deserved for having great reams. All the other conferences always treated us like 2nd class citizens

Not such a big deal. Ohio State has a life time bowl record of 25-26. Is 2-11 against the SEC in bowl games and has a losing record to every major SEC team except LSU and is 1-1-1 against them, Also is 1-4 against both Clemson and Alabama. Not much to wright home about I would guess.

First off, Congrats Ducks. Great win for you and for Pac 12. I said last week on their video against Fresno State (score 31-24): bet the over! Finally, when you run the same off tackle left play every time you're in the red zone and they know it's coming, you're just saying: we're better. As a UCLA alum I'm now a bit worried about Fresno St. next week. They might be really good.

As an Ohio State fan I am impressed how we were still even able to keep it close with Oregon after the first half. I mean they were dominating us and had so many opportunities to blow us out yet we somehow were able to come back and make it a close game. Of course we blew it and I feel like there are a lot of things that needed to be improved for Ohio State to become a solid playoff candidate such as getting qb pressure on defense, getting Stroud more experience and working on his arm (his arm is solid but his accuracy seems to diminish when it really counts like all of the overthrown passes), stop being one dimensional on offense (They serious need some read option plays with Stroud and make the kid run the football. He seems soft and doesn’t like the contact probably due to not being exposed to enough of it.), and better coaching (getting better defensive adjustments and taking easy points early in the game. I mean Ohio State could have potentially tied the game if they had kicked 2 field goals rather than going for a 4th and medium yard situation outside of the 30 yard line). I hope that throughout the season we can improve on these things as now our games should be “easier” than the first two games we played this season so our young guys can get more game reps. I truly believe Ohio State could have a shot at the playoffs if they improve vastly enough and dominate their conference (now whether or not they get in is up for debate which depends on the end season results of all the teams). Oregon played their asses off with having 2 of their players injured. I can’t imagine the carnage if both were playing this game. I wish the best for Oregon and hope to see them in a rematch in the future.
Short Summary: Ohio State needs to fix and improve a few certain aspects of their game to have a shot at the playoffs (not guaranteed of course to get in as their will be better teams), Oregon played their asses off with handicap of missing 2 best defensive players and could have whooped our asses bad if they have played. I wish the best for Oregon and hope for a future rematch. Go Buckeyes!

They should have all the conferences have an in-conference tournament to crown a champion throughout the season every year and then every champion competes bracket style against each other for a National Champion. To make it more than 10 teams competing you can throw in some wild cards however many (4,6,8) but they’d have to be the team that lost their conference championship.

Oregon played it right on D. Bend but don't break. Play them tough between the 20s, make them work, but focus more on not giving up the big TD play. Whenever OSU got in/near the red zone the threat of a long pass was gone so the Oregon DBs could closed up a lot of those gaps and the drives fizzled out.

Oregon was more physical than Ohio State on both sides of the ball. If Oregon had tighter pass coverage they would have won by 14 or more.

Tighter pass coverage would of lead to more Ohio state receivers making plays downfield. It was the game plan to make them catch it underneath the coverage.
That’s what limited Ohio states big plays and way key to the win. They did the right thing. That’s the best receiving core in the nation u got contain them. Guy threw like 60 passes in the game they did well

@@markmillers4491 you ever heard of the bend but don’t break defense. I focus on results not stats. They held them pretty well in the first half and then made key stops on the last 3 possessions of the game. Along with 2 key 4th down stops. Defense is doing great at limiting big plays.
