Here is definitely the biggest video I've made all year! I'm still fairly new to making scripted content like this so this took me infinitely longer than I expected but I'm really glad I saw this idea through for one of my favorite Kirby games. This took tons of work so please be sure to like and drop a sub if you enjoyed it

While I’ve never played Dream Course before, it doesn’t stop me from making a new copy ability of my own, so I did:
Poison
When acquired, it can be utilized before your putt. It launches a blob of toxic waste in a guidable direction, and what it hits has different effects:
If it hits the floor, it becomes slippery, increasing the duration of Kirby’s roll if he rolls through it.
If it hits an enemy, they die.
If an opponent uses it against you, it becomes sticky to you, decreasing the duration of your Kirby’s roll if you roll through it.
Go play planet robobot, poison is a new ability there
In terms of new abilities, I have a few ideas:
Mirror: allows Kirby to perform a "practice shot" creating a mirror Kirby ball that still takes the shot, but the real Kirby would spawn back at the place it was started with any enemies defeated, but no power ups gained
Cutter: Kirby turns into a boomerang, causing him to go backwards from where he was. For horizontal shots it lets him return to the stage and for vertical shots it lets him go back to his shot origin
Crash: destroys all enemies and obstacles on the map (including walls) at the cost to eliminating all your health points
Ninja: Kirby disappears in a puff of smoke, automatically killing the nearest enemy. At the cost of not moving at all when used
Suplex: Kirby dashes forward, grabbing the enemy or Kirby he runs into. He can then toss the enemy in whatever direction he wants. If it's the last enemy on the map the hole spawns under Kirby. Item enemies thrown into opponents will give them whatever power it gives

beetle: will send kirby forward at an angle and distance (distance has a limit) chosen by the player during this kirby is not affected by gravity and if they hit an enemy or opponent kirby will stop at the targets place however it will damage the target and kirby will use his horn to launch the target to where he was before using it. you can use it to basically swap places with an opponent if they are in range
Staff: flings you to anywhere you chose.
Also if you are near an enemy you will get a life when you destroy it. If you are near a kirby you will take one of their lives and skips their turn.
Sword: Being near an enemy or kirby will make you attack it and skips the kirbys turn.
Esp: Teleports you to a random place and has a 20% chance of teleporting on a kirby.
Festival: If you complete a stage of destroy an enemy you will get 3 extra lifes.
Crash: when used has a 15% chance of
Resetting the board
Cutter: Throws a boomerang at a nearby enemy or kirby when it hits nothing you will teleport to the boomerang(+ you can choose where to throw it before putting)
Water: a wave pushes you and any one nearby to a enemy or the goal and skips the other kirbys turn (used to be an idea for water: a whirlpool spins you and the nearby kirby and flings you in a random direction. Has a 20% chance of skipping the other kirbys turn)
Circus: Makes you jump through a flaming hoop that will help you get to high areas and when you keep pressing any button you will keep going through hoops until you stop then it's the other kirbys turn. Also when you jump on a kirby you will get a extra life

I got an Idea for one that’s gonna make a lot of music references later.
Whip: Kirby with put on his cowboy hat and use his whip to rope any enemies caught in the rope, which he will then tug the rope and destroy the enemies while also being launched.
Pros: If there are only 2 enemies left then one will be destroyed and the other will turn into a hole landing directly in the middle of the whip’s circular rope. If used on an opponent it will actually take away their copy ability and give it to you, leaving your opponent with nothing.
Cons: It can only be used once and has a set amount of range and area of effect, and once used the ability will dissipate. If also used on hazards like Gordo will make Kirby take damage.
Not only do I feel this gives a wacky feel, but when you combine it with Verns ghost idea can make for some interesting plays
Dude, this was an awesome video! For your first scripted video, this was really well done. I especially loved the Copy and Spider abilities. If Nintendo ever does a sequel or a remake of Kirby's Dream Course, I could definitely see them doing this. Really great job, Vernias! ❤
Idea for sword: after activate it, kirby will spin with the sword as the charged attack, the knockback (to other kirbys) depends how fast does kirby go. Sending them farther if kirby is rolling around at the speed of sound
I would have loved a castle themed course in this game. Or even a space theme.

For this excellent concept, I would like the ability, Throw
The way it would work is either you touch an enemy and throw them at something (your rival, another enemy, ...or nothing) or throw them at the ground and launch again, like an extension

I think bell should work the opposite way, if the opponent hits you or gets near you, the bell activates, sending THEM in a random direction.

Honesty I love your take on sleep. The joke of sleep has gotten old, I feel like the best way to keep adding it newer games is to make them useful

So much so I have some personal ideas I wanted to share
For Copy, I think it would be interesting if it straight up didn’t kill the enemy, because I feel like you could set up some cool plays with the sun and moon tiles that way
And for bomb, I feel like instead of blowing up in a radius, it would blow up in a plus shape akin to Bomberman. That way, you could space out where you want it to land using Kirby’s shadow
And lastly for sleep, I’m a bit rusty with my dream course knowledge so idk if this is possible in the og
But it would be cool if you used sleep in midair DELIBERATELY over an angle/slope he would bounce away instead of sleeping
You’d kinda have to choose if you wanna sleep and heal, or use it in a more strategic way

I have an idea for how Hammer would work, it would integrate the Hammer Glitch from Forgotten land when in the air, since if you used it Kirby/Keeby would spin in the air and his bounces would be higher once he landed, the hammer hitting the ground and launching Kirby/Keeby. The spin that you put on when you launched Kirby/Keeby would also be increased, so he would bounce further as well as higher. Kirby/Keeby wouldn't bounce, however, if he hit an enemy that was in the way of the hammer when he landed, instead just damaging or even defeating them. If Kirby/Keeby was on the ground, he would spin around, though it wouldnt preserve momentum like Tornado and just hit enemies. The use for this would be to be very all-purpose and strong, but other abilities, like Hi-Jump, Stone, or Tornado, would be stronger in their departments than Hammer was in them.

Those are some really fun ideas.
I think a fun ability could be Circus Kirby. Using it causes Kirby to perform a few somersaults, causing him to zig-zag. This could be used to hit enemies just our of your shot's reach or bouce over terrain that would normally augment your shot.
This should be the sequel we need right here also could you try add the copy ability animal it’s a random abilities that I feel like could fit in a small minigame styled Kirby game like this one

Wing: kirby gains wings and flies in random directions across the stage. Can fly out of the stage or across floating platforms. When above an enemy, he will drop a sharp feather on them.

I mean... I certainly think WiKirby is trustworthy. Can't say the same about the FANDOM Kirby Wiki though. I mean, for crying out loud, it says that Magolor and Taranza are of the same species due to them being limbless creatures!
That being said, you sure know alot about how Copy Abilities work in Kirby's Dream Course, Vern. I could totally see some of these being included in a sequel... if HAL were to ever do such a thing. Nice work!

I’m not trying to complain, but I do have an idea for the bubble. Maybe once you use it there it would be like the web situation will not situation, but it could be like Web or if you fall on it, then you’ll be bouncing a direction with vary heights, depending on your speed before using the ability.

If Water gets added, I imagine it being a U-Turn, Kinda like he starts surfing on a wave. Maybe the sharpness of the turn is based on the power of the shot or something

A good situational ability would be a hole you move around the stage. (Like Donut County, but Kirby.)

Here's my idea:
Mic Ability
Defeats all the enemies on screen (can possibly defeat them all if on screen) and damages the other player.
but what about of the crash ability ?
@@layzonalburquerquecanalofi9045 It does the same thing as mic but with only one explosion. It appears to be more powerful though.
My idea is splash: splash will do nothing to enemies but it will greatly increase your movement speed after creating a puddle however it only does so if you hit the puddle you have control over where the puddle is before you actually move Kirby
Edit: The speed boost last for five seconds enemy Kirbys can use it and it’s basically just the water ability with a different name
I need a Mod of this, though some could be a little more simplified, ( EX: Bubble: maybe just the area below kirby instead of aiming ), but your copy abilitys your choice.

If you do another yoyo would be cool with the yoyo ability Kirby would launch the yoyo forward and if it hits an enemy or player than you switch places and they take damage

So digging in a square would make more sense.
Also seeing Bubble and Bell is honestly pretty fun. My first Kirby game was Triple Deluxe so bell is a blast to the past, and the idea you had is amazing!

Why don't ya make bell a defensive ability sort like needle but it causes a small surround damage wave of sound that has high pushback when made contact to either an enemy or a rival, making pretty much a safe ability to submit to shots but it won't stop ya like needle or stone but instead slide around at the same speed ya were going to if ya did it normally, so ya at least need to aim and charge proper.
