- Since we started the 125 Roller Coaster Challenge we have been wanting to visit The Great Escape in Lake George, NY. This park has such a unique history and even though it is a Six Flags park, it is like no other. Starting out as Storyland, this walk through takes you through the original sections right past the water park and other Six Flag touches. There is no Looney Tunes or DC rides or attractions which makes this park's personality shine through.
We will not be showing Timber Town kid section or Hurricane Harbor in this video because we have other videos highlighting these sections of the park.
Highlights include : Canyon Blaster, Marshal's Stampede Indoor Bumper Cars, Steamin' Demon, Condor, Thunder Alley, Greezed Lightnin', Flashback, Storytown Train, Grand Carousel, Sky Ride, Flying Trapeze, Blizzard, Screamin' Eagles, Pandemonium, Cannonball Express, Balloon Race, Convoy, Alpine Bobsled, Olympiad Grand Prix Go-Karts, Extreme Supernova and The Comet.

Great Park, love when i went to it 2002, it really one ofbthe best Six Flags Parks. It just a great park.
we were pleasantly surprised, we heard it was one of the lesser Six Flags parks and if you compare it to thrills, that is correct but if you compare it to what it is (a family oriented with a unique theme) it is one of a kind.
great video and awesome park
Thanks for the kind comments on the video. Greatly appreciated
This video is outstanding. I was a performer at The Great Escape in the summer of 1992. I was in the country western show at the Red Garter Saloon (now Corrall) and the magic show in the Jolly Tree Theatre. Five of each show a day, plus I was the voice of the Sassy Sally puppet hanging out the second floor window of one of the little barns (with her bosoms hanging out as well.) My days were spent running around the park from show to show, jumping in and out of costumes before running onto the stages. Unless the Jolly Tree has had a makeover in the past 32 years, you will see my name engraved on the inside/backstage of the Jolly Tree, along with countless others who performed there before me, and most likely those who performed there after me. Best summer of my life, and memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you so much for posting this video. 🥲🥲🥲❤❤❤
Wow. What a way to wake up. Thank you so much for the kind words and watching the video. I love making these and it is great to see people appreciate them.
I will be going back to the Great Escape later this summer so consider subscribing so you don't miss the updates and have a great summer
I grew up with this park. Did every thrill ride multiple times. The only ride that made me sick... the condor!
The sasquatch was formerly the drop towers ride from six flags New Orleans. Due to its height, it was the only ride they could salvage.
The boat ride actually used to be a remote controlled boat race with mini boats and actually prizes for the winners.
The blizzard is essentially a scrambler ride in the dark with a laser show.
Thank you for the insights, I know my local parks like you do but getting the inside scoop on a new park to me like this is amazing.
god i havent been here since the mid 2000s when the had the looneytoons area , and i live like 28 mins south of this place i really need to get back up
11:00 what they got rid of the swanboats
It looks like they have kept most of the charm over the years
Yep. A lot of places have moved on from these attraction because of maintaining them
5:37 WOAH WOAH WOAH try that again
Haha. I will
@@125RollerCoaster even though it’s been a year good to see that you still respond to comments!!
I take pride in answering everyone, even yours 🙃
@@125RollerCoaster thanks man I really appreciate that
Keep on watching and I will keep on replying
Omg, Disneyland is so much better than this.
Umm, so you are comparing a regional park in the Adirondack to a multi billion dollar corporation that owns Marvel, Star Wars, etc..
So yes I guess you might be correct but I guess on that vine you can say a Porche is better than a Honda Civic
