I am an industrial design student and was astonished by your marker rendering videos :) I do have a question, which prismacolor markers do you use? (Midtones/ hyper bright/ pastel/ assorted /cool grey) I’ve been wanting to get some but I’m unsure of which is best for product design. Your advice is greatly appreciated & thank you!!

Is there a better value for a desktop scanner if you don't mind your scanning being tethered to your PC?
On the USB-c/USB 3 cables; guessing it's what was available and it also prevents plugging this together in the wrong order. It's called poke oke (sp?) in manufacturing.
It doesn't matter, there's no excuse for this. With USB-C devices set themselves up as the client (receives data or power) or the host (supplies data or power), so a camera is always the host. It's a bit like the old USB-OTG (On The Go) stuff.
If you plug two USB-C phones together you'll get a pop-up asking which one you want to be, so you can have one phone charge the other. (You'll sometimes get a situation where if you plug a USB-C phone into a USB-C powerbank, the powerbank will start charging, drawing power from the phone. This is why some powerbanks have an "Input only" USB-C socket.)
Needing different cables is silly because eventually you'll lose one...

I want a relatively cheap 3D scanner and I always _almost_ buy one of these Creality Ferret ones but none of them have that many reviews on Amazon and the reviews they do have aren't that great, so I keep backing off.
I can tell you from all scanners I tested this one has the best tracking.
Not tbe finest detail but works way more flawless then even double expensive scanners.
Further 3D photogrammetry is still also more precise/detailed than those scanners to!
