Due to my 36 years working for a government contractor that had to manage classified information, I filed a formal complaint with the Eleventh Circuit to have Judge Cannon removed from this case. If I had ever done a fraction of what Trump has done with classified information, I would have immediately been placed in a pre-trial holding cell.

I had top secret clearances when I was a writer for a government contractor. If I had ever took documents home or failed to lock them in a SCIF, Id be in jail. How Trump can get away with this is beyond my belief. This judge has no experience in this case, should never have been put in this position, let alone be the judge on this case.

slippery slope . I have been thinking this for quite some time because i am fairly certain much of what she is doing is being influenced by powers far above her - as in leonard leo , the federalist society - some other advocacy group/ agent - I am pretty certain about that - and that should be made known publicly because this is an absolute travesty and complete disintegration of the judiciary. However, she is very much entitled to her 4th amendment protections - that is where that becomes very dicey - and getting another judge to authorize a warrant for that - well lets say if that were to happen - you can believe there would be a lot of inculpatory evidence. I don't expect it to happen but there is plenty of valid reasons to be awfully suspicious - can anyone else provide an example involving significant national security information being compromised - and the prosecution is forced to tiptoe around the defendant ? Did they afford that type of deference to any other person accused of compromising National security info ? You are not going to find it

I think that any unbiased and reasonable person would doubt a judge could fairly discharge their duties, where the defendant is the same person that had appointed them to their position! In fact it would seem impossible to imagine how such a justice could hope to be impartial, should be a disqualification by default. And if a justice in that situation did not disqualify themself, that alone would suggest they are not up to the job in the first place.

Good luck getting the Republican controlled US House of Representatives to bring an impeachment bill up for a vote. Yes and no. Removing a sitting judge is super hard, but it can be done. ASAP? Forget about that.
No. Not really. And, as the individual before me wrote, DEFINITELY not ASAP. Or, rather, yeah, but ASAP is a long time, lol. The problem is that she has hardly DONE ANYTHING, so there is nothing to appeal. He could go to the 11th circuit and request a writ of mandamus to FORCE her to act, but most legal experts I've read haven't been too enthusiastic about that course of action. All I can tell you is that a writ of mandamus is like "in case of emergency break glass". A famous example of an unsuccessful writ of mandamus is Marbury vs. Madison.
Not really in the end none of these cases are going to go soon I believe Trump's polling will start to fall as we get into summer. His only defense is to win the election when that doesn't happen these cases are going to drop the hammer on him no one will care anymore.
If you look through, there is a petition or legal papers that you can file against Canon go to the Midas touch and you can find that paperwork you can fill out the forms and send it in and it is the form to have Canon removed

I am a 63 year old black woman that lives in Louisiana and I follow the Midas touch and I am so glad this was explained to me because I’ve been literally sick on my stomach that either the Washington case or the documents case will not be heard before the elections. Thank you so very much.

Yah, I don’t think Karma is doing anything for us or Jack Smith. He wound up with Cannon for the easiest-to-prove case.
And there is so much energy from Republican operatives, using all their money & organization & will to push King Orange through, and the crooked right activist Supreme Court on his side, that I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets away with it all, gets immunity from everything, and our whole system of government, democracy, benefits (social security, Medicare, etc), and protections gets totally trashed.

You people are sad - you have watched too many movies or TV shows - I am sorry but the good guys don't always win - that is not how this life works - remember the quote - by Edmund Burke - the only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing - I believe in this case Judge Cannon is in the position that is supposed to be occupied by a "good man" due to the power and legitimacy afforded to a federal judge - and she is consciously choosing to do as close to nothing as is conceivably possible
She should be disbarred & put her in school textbooks, nationwide.
