For most judges, the President who appointed them should not make any difference. If they were properly qualified, they would be fair and knowledgeable about the law. Trump-appointed judges did not rule in favor of his wild and baseless claims about election fraud, for example.
But Cannon is a wild exception. She should have recused herself because she did not have the understanding and experience in such cases and she was way too close to Trump. They really need to appeal to the full panel to get her replaced with anybody else not so attached to Donald Trump and hopefully more knowledgeable.

I don't understand how it isn't blatant conflict of interest and inappropriate for a judge to preside over a case where either the plaintiff or defendant is responsible for the judge having their job in the first place. The bar for getting a judge dismissed is very high. Her rulings in this case have been scant and she hasn’t said much if anything publicly. Hence she hasn’t given the Special Counsel a lot of ammunition to use against her. Trump’s words of praise are just that…his words not hers. I read her order and it’s ambiguous but not necessarily biased. She says “. Not to misconstrue” her previous exercise (jury instruction) as the final decision. That exercise was to obtain the two adversarial perspectives about the PRA which she got. Glenn failed to mention that statement. Because Jack Smith hasn’t pursued recusal as yet when Glenn says the bucket is full. But maybe it’s not as full as he thinks.
The 11th Circuit knows Judge Cannon is not impartial as a judge in the Trump Mar-a-Lago case. They can REMOVE her and replace Judge Cannon with an impartial jurist. This is just wrong and the 11th Circuit has to step up and do something.

Likely not enough firm evidence has been processed to bring a charge, at least yet. I hope she's been monitored by the relevant authorities. The corruption is staggering. A judge shouldn’t be able to make a ruling, while stating in that ruling that they are reserving the option to change the very ruling later, after jeopardy has attached.
It should be grounds for removal from the case at a minimum, if not potential sanctions/disbarment for the judge.

So if I was on trial for a felony charge and the presiding judge was a family friend and perhaps had been on vacation with me or my family and knew me personally, there is no way in hell they would let that judge t preside over my trial.
