  • My first meeting with the British upper-class Lotus Emeya.. Electric grand tourer.
Equivalent size to Volvo's S90 or the Porsche Taycan...
    I've found my British dream.
Apologies to the Lotus Eletre, but there's a new star on the horizon.. EMEYA 😍

    Enjoyable sporty fastback/hatchback.🙂
Apart from advanced sporty features it has everything essential for everyday use to go to work, do some shopping, go somewhere for the weekend with the whole family. Rear spoiler is large like it should be. The big Qs are about battery, real range and recharging. And price.
    Some minor caveats:
    - Such sporty cars are not suitable for long time journey - the seating position is not optimal, and the trunk has limited capacity.
    - I would opt for classic side mirrors, as the electronic ones are useless - they are expensive option, not effective and even dangerous esp. in night driving, cause unnecessary fatigue of driver's eyes. Their aerodynamic positive effect is offset by increased power consumption. Classic mirrors are the best!
    - Side camera and sliding lidar and not integrated, while they could be.

    British masterpiece....Built in China 🙄

It doesn't have to be built in Britian to be British. This is the 21st century where products from one land can be built anywhere. Did the Brits design the interior and tune the suspension and brake feel? That's what matters.

@@benjaminsmith2287 What if you learn it's also designed and tested in china. Ever wonder why all the chinese media get to test drive Eletre & Emeya way earlier than the rest of the world?

@@tomtang0514 It's tested in a lot of countries and it isn't designed in China. The Eletre was designed in Coventry. The vehicle that it is based on but highly modified from is the Zeekr001. That was designed in Sweden.

@@volvo_kristian maybe do some homework before making a fool of yourself in a video. This is Chinese ev, they let lotus play around with their sports cars only for marketing purposes.

That's a really uninformed, yet common, comment. It's so sad so many are lazy and assume things and don't do the proper research on some of Geely's acquired brands like Lotus, Polestar and Volvo.
