On the other hand, the holocaust is well known for everyone, yet the death tolls of the Soviet, Chinese, Indians, and other non western nations are often thrown out of the window, they do not matter to them after all. Keep in mind that quite a lot of nazis worked with US government after the war, they weren't the enemies of humanity as the US likes to call them, they just happened to be convenient enemies.
