Dude! Congrats on making it happen and I really hope you get there sooner than later! It’ll be a very happy day when you make the switch and know you’ll be good!

Thank you for making this. I’m considering becoming an agent in possibly the worst time to become one (wish I had considered this journey in 2020 😅) …I’ve attempted wholesaling real estate, I didn’t find success with that. I think my personality type would be great being an agent. I am a little nervous where the market is headed and with the changes in the law coming up. I know a lot of agents are leaving the industry, so I’m hoping that maybe that’ll give me more of an advantage. However, I know home sales are down but I live in East Tennessee which has been particularly hot the last couple of years. Thank you for making this video-it’s given me a little bit of reassurance.

I'm thinking about becoming a realtor but I am honestly experiencing some self doubt. What about people saying realtors will be replaced with technology. It seems like most subreddits on Reddit speak very poorly about the future of realtors. I am willing to work hard and want to be my own boss and being a realtor sounds like a good match for me but I hear so many conflicting points on this career.

I believe good realtors will have a place for a long time to come. Real estate is complicated and full of nuance and strange situations come up CONSTANTLY, so I don’t think tech will be able to replace something with so much variety any time soon! Jump in! Even if it doesn’t last forever, you’ll have a chance to really make life changing money.

The subreddit for anything is always pretty nihilistic, look up the meme”starting a new hobby vs joining it’s subreddit”

I don't think you have to "like people" to be good at sales. I currently work in group sales in the luxury hotel industry as a event and conference manager and I'm very introverted. I have no issue speaking to people and being personable but I wouldn't by no means say I "like people". I'm thinking about doing a little real estate on the side and then I'll judge if it's something I would want to do full time. I just don't like the schedule inflexibility of working in hotels

I don’t see real estate as “sales.” A lot of agents out there do, but that’s not my approach or how I like to have the agents on my teams thinking about it either.

How will the recent settlement of 6% commission removal affect realtors?

Can you write off the licensing off as a business expense? I own a lawn care company and am looking at real estate to supplement income. I'm not wanting to short for the stars per se but would like it to eventually become my main income also here in ham lake just north of Minneapolis

Hey! I know my accountant writes of the licensing fees as a business expense! I would assume you could, too!
