- HEY THERE! Thanks for stopping by and checking out my channel and my VERY FIRST VIDEO! Eeek, so exciting!
Here is a look back at what I didn't know before I got my real estate license and what I know now in my 2nd year as an agent! Enjoy.
The best investment one can do right now is investing on real estate though stocks are good but ever since I swapped to real estate, I've seen so much difference.
I have been making a lot profit through real estate which has been the main source of my income.
I’m interested I want to move to real estate investment can you help me ?.
Sounds great! please I will appreciate your assistance on how to go about it, who's your coach and how good is your coach?
STEPHINE KOPP MEEKS is who i work with look her
Thanks for recommending i find her and left her message online
They say third times a charm, am officially a real estate broker 🎉🎉 for all my repeat test takers don't give up and don't be discouraged
You will pass everyone has their own season, just keep going pray and believe you will receive
I failed 3 times, i lost money to reviews that never helped but the major thing is that I've not lost hope
@@linusfx2366 I’m sorry for your plight my friend but i was once in your shoes before i was recommended to Mr James and thats how i passed My real estate exam
I used some Kaplan, some AceableAgent and read a lil oncourse learning . I did 3 real estate exam scholar and my result came back failed
I have sat for Real Estate Exam for the 4th time now and still failed, i guess licence isn't meant for people like me😭
I’m only 4 minuets in & this already made me feel better. Your genuine realness IS SO REFRESHING. your channel FR helps💗
Stick to your game plan and ask others how they did that.
Being a real estate agent is literally a business so there’s lots of expenses and it’s not easy I already had all this in mind but still knew I could do it just have a positive mindset!
My friend referred me to these guys czcams.com/video/egrha7haLNs/video.html and they helped with my real estate proctored exam. I recommend that you check them out
Are you still a real estate agent?
Kayla, this is one of the most relevant videos I've seen, especially for new agents. The beginning is tough as is this business but over time, you'll learn how to navigate through and find what works for YOU! I've been in it for 19 years and some days are definietly harder than others, STILL. You have to find your niche. Be yourself and you'll attract clients that you WANT to work with. The fact that you recognized this so early on is amazing!!! You got this!!! Keep at it girl.
Love that Statement “Save up keep your part time job in the beginning cuz it’s expensive or ugh..jus be poor and sad when you start, That’s what I did🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣”
“be poor and sad like I did" Bahaha. Girl that got me.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
First year is really intense. A lot of people make Real Estate look "easy" or "simple". Thank you for being vulnerable and honest about your experience. You have some great points brought up in this that should definitely be brought up for new agents.
You got me at the “be poor and sad like I did “ I’m here with ya 🤣
Obviously not real estate related but your eyebrows are EVERYTHING
That was sweet
the crypto market is on ablaze and yet i still hear a lot of sayings like "what's bitcoin?" this only goes to show how much people are still yet to embrace the digital assets, meaning there is a high probability of more price burst in the nearest future. according to experts, more than half of the world percentage are yet to embrace crypto currency and we have billions going round in digital forms. Like konxx Eleanor used to tell me, the charts are the tools to make wealth when properly utilized, that has guided me in my trading career although am still getting my grip around studying the market. i make use of signals and strategies from experts and service providers. i find signals as a good substitute to self-analyze and i have built my trading portfolio using signals to almost $400k but still i find myself wanting more. thanksfully we still have smaller assets to buy such as btt, xrp, doge, ada etc. i find the services of Konxx Elearnor close to that of a mentor. her services are or whatsap +1.9.1.0.2.3.9.4.3.2.1
Hair too, love the color and cut
I loved her eyebrows too!!! Such pretty shape and brown color!! I know... so off topic but my thought as well!
lol i was thinking that too 🥰
Great breakdown! You're a natural on camera as well, super captivating and comfortable. I didn't believe this was your 1st video. Keep it up!! 😁
Are you joking? She has no confidence, no make up and has no chance of being more in life the way she is.
@@travis8665 hater 🥴
I passed the first time and it is very easy you just have to study. Just like any other test. Beginning in real estate is very expensive. Typically you need to be doing deals for 3 yrs before you are competent. Best to get a mentor to help. I have been an agent for 20 yrs and I have had clients judge me for looking professional. Dress matters but it doesn’t have to be a suit. The people in the office you work with make all the difference. Not bad you don’t own a house but going through the buying process yourself really opens your eyes to things you don’t realize until to go through it yourself
Test is NOTHING like it was 20 years ago .. depends on what state you're in as well
And the market is wayyyyy different as well as clients. I could sell the crap out of a vegan sandwich even if im not vegan, so just cuz you dont own a home doesnt mean u cant sell one or “open your eye”.
Would you suggest starting as an assistant so that you get actual experience seeing how people do this job? Been looking into this and it just seems crazy to get a license and then suddenly jump in with no prior experience.
@@waxxedestate579 Yes you can say that again!!
@@waxxedestate579 right I studied my butt off and still had to take the exam 5 times lol
I’m 19 and about to get my license. I’ll be starting in august once I finish up with my current job. I’m unbelievably nervous but this answered almost every thought I had in my head about becoming an agent
did you get it :p
yeah did u get it?
@@hezowrld yes I’ve had it since I was 19
@@katylee5856 i was asking adam but hows it been going for you? Is it your main source of income now?
What u doing
Of all the real estate experience videos; this was the most down to earth/ raw I’ve seen!! I’m currently pursuing my license, and this was much needed and even more appreciated❤️
I’ve been watching for 4 minutes and it feels like 20 thank you for being authentic and transparent!
This has been the best Real Estate advice I have had. You definitely had my attention with this pure honest information. Looking forward to more videos to help me on my journey!
Thank you for this honest and candid video! You’re so relatable and I hope you’re still doing Real Estate and kicking ass. 😊❤️
I loved this video! While I’m a bit older (43 lol) my struggle with self esteem has really kept me stuck. I appreciate your candid thoughts vs reality and all you’ve expressed. I hope you’re still pushing though in real estate & hope you could post more videos regarding your experiences. 💜
I’m 41, and have a YT channel on the same content but I’ve been surprised how expensive it is.
Nice job Kayla and I'm sure those looking for "real and authentic" sharing of a new real estate career. You're so relate-able, especially for your target audience. I've been in the real estate business for years and years and am still learning something new each and every day. BTW - I came across this because your pops posted it on FB. I've known your dad for years as well. Such a proud papa for sure! Best of luck to you. You have the perfect personality and "spunkiness" to take this career wherever you want to go!
Mark Falk Thank you so much!! I appreciate it!
Yes, yes, Yes!!! I wish I would've found this video so much sooner! Everything you mention is so true. I also had the same expectations and reality checks. I love that you address all of this and validate everything. I quit my job to pursue real estate and I found very quickly how expensive it is LOL. I have been struggling a lot recently with motivation and growing my sphere. I am so happy to have gotten the opportunity to watch this and learn that everything I have felt is completely normal. Goodluck to you! and anyone else pursuing real estate!
This was such a relatable, genuine video. Like many of your subscribers, I'm sure, I found myself nodding my head to much of what you were saying and smiling knowingly as I thought back to my own experiences as a "green" agent years ago. I've subscribed and I look forward to seeing more of your content!
Thanks for your transparency! You inspired me to start doing RE videos because I just started real estate. I’m looking forward to more videos from you girl!
It’s so helpful when people admit they are often confused and need to ask for help. We go in feeling like we ought to know everything.
*unrelated* i just found your account & i think you have the best personality for youtube like pls make more content like you’re informative without being a drag
Same here just like sitting across from an informative friend!
I agree! I really enjoyed listening to her. Hopefully she starts back up again
I agree, wow totally relate to you. Please do more videos!
Hella views & subs with two videos 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
My friend referred me to these guys czcams.com/video/egrha7haLNs/video.html and they helped with my real estate proctored exam. I recommend that you check them out
You are definitely not alone. I failed both the first time. Passed the state portion the second time and finally passed the national the third time. And you’re right, no one ever talks about the upfront costs and the extreme hustling you have to do. Great video and thanks for being transparent!
This was so helpful! I’m deciding on what career to choose, so I am researching about real estate! So glad I ran into your video 👏😌
Excellent video, Kayla! You've answered so many of my questions. It was so informative. I love that you're down to earth and genuine. I truly believe you'll be very successful!
GIRL!! I loved your video! You're so likeable and relatable. I'm also in WA and thinking about becoming an RA. This video was helpful!
New sub here. THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video! I’m taking my pre licensing courses. This is the exact info I was looking for and wanted to know. You are such an inspiration and we totally have the same style. You’re so informative and I would love to stay connected on social media. Wishing you the best success. -Megan (Reno, NV)
Thank you for such a genuine video! You have a wonderful personality. I’m a new middle aged female agent and totally related to your “expectations”. Being tech savvy and using social media is a must to promote your biz. Great success to you and all watching your videos.
No, I did not get tired of you! I appreciate your video! You have been doing this now for 4 years and I am sure you are 4 times as great! I am a student and am getting ready to take the GA exam in August! Wish me luck! But as your video states, if I do not pass then I know to never give up!
Thank you so much for this! I just started taking my real estate online classes and I am super excited. You made things a lot more clear to me about this profession.
Thank you SO much for this, it was so raw and real, I love your perspective about how being kind and working hard is all that matters, not meeting the "standards" of a female agent!
Thank you for addressing that you don't have to fit a stereotype! I have been stressing over that very thing since I started studying for this exam. It's music to my ears to hear you affirm this! Great video :) thank you! -soon to be signed agent.
Kayla! I just found your channel and I love your first video!! Very helpful information. And I appreciate your transparency. Thank you for your honesty and good humor! 🤗
This video was very informative! I'm in the process of getting my license in Texas. Thank you for your insight on the Realtor experience. I wish you the best of luck in your career endeavors!
This was really helpful. It's so great to see the candid and honest information and I'm very thankful that you posted this :)
Kayla, I can't thank you enough for such a real video. No salesy BS or distortions, just honest info. And you are so charming!
This video is so good!! I was in the SAME boat! Some of the most basic questions go unanswered on the internet about being an agent. They’re all about scripts and contracts and whatever. Which is all good- but no one talks about the absolute basics! I love how you even said you went out and bought blazers and realized you didn’t need them. I did that too! Great video girl.
Blazers, too funny… I purchased a couple for interview; however, I plan to be business/Presentable/casual; Dr. Martens will be my foot gear… no uncomfortable stilettos for me🙂
Thank you! I am 41 years old and just started in real estate and I just ran into a brick wall realizing this is also a tough job requiring all kinds of delema one would have to make. Trying juggle with a full-time job and part-time real estate is tough.
I really like your honesty and I thought your video was great! Thank you 😊
Kayla, I am getting ready to take my state exam and found you online discussing things that I have been wondering about and I want to thank you for sharing your experience. I am a young 70 year old and have a facebook, instagram and pinterest page so I get what you are saying about working with people who have some knowledge about techy stuff. I really liked your suggestion about sitting in on a staff meeting to see if these peeps are who you want to do business with. I also liked what you said about being genuine and kind. Good luck in your career, I can tell you love it and you have inspired me to keep on going in this endeavor.
Thank you so much for speaking openly and honestly about your struggles within the industry. I’m scheduled to take the test for the first time at the end of the month and hearing you mention that most people have to take the test multiple times helped to ease a lot of the anxiety and pressure around my expectations.
Thanks Kayla! You were so transparent and honest. You did a great job! I now feel wayyy better about this new journey after watching your video 💛💛💛💛
This video was super informative. I just got my license last week and am deciding which brokerage to join now. Thanks for making it!
Oh my gosh you are so likable! I’m happy you made this video :) Thank you!
This is awesome. Really helped motivate me even more to pursue this. I work 12 your night shifts, and I have Friday - Sunday off, so I have a lot of time on my hands. I was in the military so I'm use to having to answer my phone all the time lol. Congrats on your career
“The best agents are the agents that are kind & know their stuff” 👏 Yes yes yes!! I just got my license and this is absolutely how I want to direct my persona as an agent. Thank you for this video (:
I love your personality! Can't wait to watch more of your videos! I'm thinking of being a real estate agent and this was really helpful.
Congrats on being 1 year in the business. Sending you much success in your second year!
Loved this honest video laying out expectations vs reality. Your personality is so much fun and enjoyed it. Great video!
Thank you for that! I have passed my test and received my license and am waiting to onboard with my brokerage and I am freaking out! So much to take in at once. This video was great!
Thank you, Kayla! You are so helpful. I felt like I just sat down with a friend over coffee.
Best video thus far for new real estate agents.. I love it.. it has given me a new outlook on my new career . Thank you. I needed this. I'm saving it!! ❤
Make some more videos girl! Please update me on your first 6 months or year in RE.
No pain no gain

I appreciate your honesty.
As a Washington State native (Lynnwood) GO HAWKS!!! I moved to Ohio not to long ago and started the process to get my real estate license out here, and I really enjoyed your video! You talked about a lot of things I haven't seen in other videos and boosted my confidence with your realism of the job so, thank you!
Literally just feel like I just listen to myself LOL I can relate so much! Just got my license this past year and officially signed with a brokerage in August and I could not agree more with every single thing that you said! Love your video love your personality wishing you so much success!!
This was very helpful!! You answered questions I've had and cleared up some blurry details. Thank you!
Thanks for your video! It was so blunt and so refreshing! Love it!
I absolutely love the fact that you touched on the stereotypical agent look. I started in real estate at 15, got my license at 18, and tried to fit that agent mold right off the bat. I looked silly, it wasn't me. As soon as I got tired of trying to fit the mold and be more myself (jeans, heels, nice tees/tops) I was so much more comfortable and confident in every other aspect of the business. I'm 36 now and couldn't be happier to see more people being unique. Be yourself, people want the authentic you. You will find your niche.
So u started learning in real estate at 15 and u got ur real estate license at 18 best way to correct u

BEST VIDEO EVER! You are a very observant individual and you will be saving me a lot of time & money with your tips. I’m planning around the challenges you said I will 99% face. I had conceptions like the ones you’ve mentioned but you told me how its different getting started than I thought.
You’re awesome . Straight to all points I really enjoyed listening to you explain everything. Thank you
I love how honest you are !
So glad I stumbled across this video. Been looking for a life change and was thinking about going real-estate but didn't know what it really "looked" like. Thank you! It helped answer some questions!
Was hella skeptical about clicking on this vid and you got me here subscribing! Very helpful and transparent I appreciate this video a lot
Thank you!!!! I'm working on getting my real estate license right now, this was super helpful!
I really appreciate the honest content you shared & the subtle humor :) I've also wondered some of the same things that you did before starting. And I didn't know about the split between you and the broker. I'd be interested in a compare/ contrast video between buyers agents and sellers agents if you're making more videos :) Cheers.
So much value in this video and I loved hearing about your experience in your first year. I totally hear you on "fitting the stereotype" but appearance definitely does not make an agent. Being yourself is the best move! New to your channel and looking forward to watching more :)
Hello
Hahah this is gold! I love how real and authentic this is 🙌
Thank you for this!! I’m going into my second year and the whole experience was totally eye opening. This made me feel so much better.
I just came across your video, just finished my real estate courses. So helpful, thank you so much!
Hi Kayla! Thanks for sharing this video. I took my real estate exam a few months ago and failed. I've been so reluctant to try again (afraid of failing a 2nd time). However, watching your video gave me all the encouragement I needed. Thanks again! Best of luck to you! 🙂
You will pass I failed three times before I passed the key is first study all your vocabulary terms, after you no the vocab, then you can apply it to what the question is asking you. Practice test also help a lot
Great video! You touched on a lot of myths. Real estate sales isn't a "traditional" career so requires a change in mindset for most new practitioners. Wishing you the best in your new career!
I’ve watched a lot of videos like this because I want to change careers and become a real estate agent. This one is honest and actually motivated me. Thank you.
i love how real and straight to the point this is.. already know this is going to be a whole journey but i was thinking just like u said in the beginning lol it wasnt until i saw what was on that test that i started taking it all seriously...
Kayla!! Thank you for making this video!! I am starting classes tomorrow and had a lot of the same expectations you had. I met with a couple of brokerages already and know where I am going once licensed!
Great first video! It was very informative and it allowed me to let go of some of the same expectations I have, as I am about to take my RE exam here in Cali in 3 weeks. All the best in your career!
Thank you for sharing your insight, your advice, and your cute quirky character!! This excites me to get my real estate license!
Great first video! Thank you so much for sharing!!!
Wow, that is super accurate, I agree with all the things you said. This should be required watching for anyone BEFORE they even sign up for RE School. I had a dad who was in RE for 35 years so I saw alot of these things through him, but I hate when someone tells me that I have an easy job and that Realtors are just making money hand over fist all the time . UGH It's hard, it takes serious dedication all the time and you have to learn to pivot with each different market. So is it easy? NO! Is it rewarding? Yes! Is it for everyone? NO WAY! From a seasoned Realtor to you, I think you have a great attitude and you get the things that will make you great- Always put your clients first. You are going to rock it, and I have lots of confidence in you! Thanks for sharing!
Everything that you said is SO TRUE! And I'm a sweater- tank top- Realtor also!
I appreciate your honesty in this video so much because I’m in the process of starting a new career soon. You’ve given me a lot more to think about. Thank you!!
