    Cardinal Burke himself isn’t all that popular but on this matter, he is absolutely correct! The Holy Eucharist is the Body and Blood of Jesus Himself, so in order to receive Him, we must be in a state of holiness, a state of Sanctifying Grace, ie having received the Sacrament of Confession/Reconciliation with true contrition and a firm resolve never to sin again. If you believe that sin is not sin, you cannot, you MUST NOT receive Jesus in the Eucharist! This is not just a rule, it’s the teachings of Jesus Himself!

      What Timothy said is correct. Our religious beliefs inform our morality yes, but it is not isolated from morality in general. If we are right and the unborn are alive, which actually they are, then it is evil to abort them as it is to murder a child. Similarly, regardless of the issue of transgender ideology in general, it is not a matter of discrimination but protection of children from the grave dangerous alteration of their bodies for things they are confused about, similar to but also far worse than protecting them from alcohol and abusive substances.

    • @marshalbrummel
      @marshalbrummel Před 26 dny

      Perspective is important here. It's not as if the Church is a police force monitoring and dictating who gets communion. You could walk into any church today and likely receive the Eucharist if you went up. But you wouldn't want to. Catholics believe the Eucharist is the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Christ. If you are in a state of Mortal Sin, you aren't united to Christ in order to receive Him. As Paul says, you would be eating drinking your own judgement. You don't want that. Christ doesn't want you to do that. So the Church doesn't want that for you. So for those who don't honor and love our Lord, or themselves to save themselves from this. The Church honors our Lord by denying the Eucharist in cases where members are in public sin.

      Great question! Many have written more eloquently and in greater detail but part of it goes all the way back to Paul in the New Testament where he writes, “Whoever eats and drinks unworthily brings condemnation upon himself.” Meaning, if someone either doesn’t actually believe it is the Body and Blood of Jesus (which is what the earliest Christians believed all the way thru the Reformation) as well as if someone has sinned without repenting, and knowingly enter into this, it is a sin. So when the Church says someone cannot receive, it is actually meant to be an act of mercy looking out for the person, preventing them from sinning further by acting as though they are reconciled with God while in their actions they are going against God’s laws. If that makes any sense!

    • @francescaserino119
      @francescaserino119 Před 26 dny

      Eucharist is the sacrament of the living (=state of grace), confession is the sacrament of the dead (mortal sins bring you out of the state of grace). The eucarist can't be taken by the dead because you can't enter into a communion with a dead (who's basically someone that refuses God).
      The catholic communion is a sacrament, were there's the transubstantiation (if you search in google eucaristic miracle you'll find what i'm talking about). The protestant communion is a symbolism, so there's no transubstantiation which means that the substance remains bread and wine that can be taken by anybody.

    A bishop has the authority to direct and express concerns of his fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, esp. those belonging to the fuller communion of the faith in the Catholic Church.
    A good bishop will say these things without even batting an eye, like how this Bishop here is explaining. He wants Biden to be in communion, but not at the expense of his soul...which Biden is clearly throwing away for political powers, or is being coerced into doing by others (perhaps even his own wife, God forbid).
    Lord have mercy on Joe Biden. I did not vote for him, nor approve of his cabinet and office...he's still a Catholic. He needs to confess and do penance, with what little time he has left on this earth in his old age.

    I'm Catholic, but the priests can not argue that in the Garden of Eden there were two (2) trees, one - the Tree of Knowledge of Goo and Evil and the second - the Tree of Everlasting Life. Now Adam and Eve were given the free choice to eat of either tree. But God warned them NOT to eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil BUT God did NOT stop them from eating of it. So when Eve and Adam ate of the Tree of Knowledge, they were sent out of the Garden in case they should try to eat of the Tree of Everlasting Life. But take note, God never told Adam and Eve to not eat of the Tree of Everlasting Life but God did warn them NOT to eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil! 🧐🧐🤔🤔 Things that make you go, "Hmmmm.....🤔🤔🤔

    What about politicians who support the death penalty?

    • @shaheerthekhan
      @shaheerthekhan Před 26 dny

      The idea of the death penalty is (clearly) not inherently evil, having been used as a punishment in the Old Testament and by the Church throughout it's years. The call to end it beginning with (to the best of my knowledge) St Pope John Paul II and now with Pope Francis' ban in the catechism only applies to modern day usage, and while it should be followed isn't the same magnitude of evil as politicans being okay with abortion or the gender stuff. Perhaps maybe politicans supporting the death penalty should be prohibited? I don't know. I just know with abortion, politicans are defiling Sacred Communion.

    • @francescaserino119
      @francescaserino119 Před 26 dny +15

      Death penalty is supported by the catholic church but only if done for the safety of the community (you can find a better explication in the catechism).

    • @shaheerthekhan
      @shaheerthekhan Před 26 dny

      @@terricook2816 I mean the Church has the right to call for an end to actions it finds to be wrong, doesn't necessarily need to be in the Bible per se. The basis is a call to mercy, an understanding that most countries have more humane methods, and the recent developments in finding out how even first world countries have used the death penalty prejudicially or on the wrongly convicted people.

      Donald Trump doesn't present himself for Holy Communion in the Catholic Church. The topic matter here is whether or not Jesus Christ is truly and entirely present in the Eucharist, and if He is, then how do we foster devotion to our Lord in the Sacrament? And what discourages the recognition of the true Presence of our Lord in the Sacrament? Ergo, Donald Trump won't be mentioned in such a discussion. Get it?
