At one point of my musical journey, I would of been considered an Elitist. I just liked what I liked. But as I've gotten older I've realized there's alot of great music out there, and I want to find it! Thank You for bearing with me on the beginning stages of this channel. Feel free to request any song.

That sadness from fado .when the sailors depart to a mission .is the sadness of the wife and children sayng goodbye to his father for ever .
Im portuguese . Im 38 years old . I always cry with this lady deep stuff
I'm Brazilian, but I absolutely love Fado.
O Cámone até ficou abilolado...! Isto é que é fado oh meu! Isto é Portugal!
in Portugal we call that feeling Saudade...theres always sadness im Fado.
Wow! I'm Portuguese and I was so happy to see that there was a reaction here to Fado, our traditional music that evokes "saudade" (that Portuguese word that is so special and unique, because there is no translation), the closest meaning is longing. It's our culture, our memories and the emotions of our people that are sung in Fado and it's usually sung by a single person accompanied by a classical guitar and a Portuguese guitar. We have excellent fado singers, such as Marisa, Carminho, Ana Moura, Camané and many others! Thank you for this! I love your reactions! I'm a metal fan myself! Beijinhos de Portugal!☺❤
Much love friend! I loved every min of this! Beautiful song
It’s used so much in fado I love the word because of how it’s used
Magnífica Sara canta com toda a alma e sentimento . Com dois talentos nas cordas .❤
As a portugueses guy, It's such a honor to see you reacting to fado. Thank tou My friend 👏
Much love friend.
The reaction that you have to fado and tbe accuracy of the feeling what fado is all about made me proud of being portugues and so happy for you to understand our soul. Deep stuuf. Congrats
I gotta hear more.
Fado is a type of Portuguese music? I of course understood none of the lyrics but i was getting melancholy or wistful vibes. She has a lot of emotion in her singing for sure, the traditional band backing her was great too. Nice reaction Cosmic TY! ❤ and ✌️
I am glad you could feel the music. Portugese is such a beatiful language. And Fado.... for me it is music that goes right into my soul. Not tiptoeing, but with in one blow it cracks me wide open. Thank you for being so dedicated to learn about new music.
This was such a great experience! I loved this.
I'm Home
Sara Correia
If the more I squeeze you
The less I feel you here
If the more I push you away
You are the master of my days
How wise or uncertain God
In the winter I saw you
Made me want to leave you
In my empty hands
You came to me in secret
With everything to give me
You took by conquest
My loneliness
My darling, don't be afraid
Of wanting to live in me
I'm the house, don't insist
Escape from my hand
Baby, don't be afraid
That you want to live in me
I'm the house, don't insist
Run from my hand
Because I don't even live
And lie to the laws of life
Nor do you make your home
For wanting to live on moons
Today's love
Is half a farewell
It's half the end of the road
Half missing you
Today's love
Is half a goodbye
It's halfway down the road
Half missing you
And now you're done
My love, tell me where you're going
Or don't say a word
The pain will be enough
Let them fall apart
They're pains, nothing more
At the end of the night
I know you'll be back
Let them fall apart
They're pains, nothing more
That at the end of the dawn
I know you'll come back
So, I'm reading in the comments that this is Fado. And I love it. She has a truly wonderful voice and i'm so glad to get the chance to hear her sing. Picking songs by letter or country is a great idea.
I can't wait to see what we discover!
isto é fado, música nacional portuguesa, património da humanidade (da unesco)
É sém duvida a maore fadista de portugál atuálménte 👏👏👏💖
Instruments are: guitar, acoustic bass guitar and guitarra Portuguesa (not a mandolin - it's a 12 string/6 courses fretted instrument unique to Portugal and to fado).
I'm portuguese. That instrument is called guitarra portuguesa "Portuguese Guitar", a traditional presence on all fado songs and unique to Portugal. ❤
I loved it! Thank you
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody If you like the 'Portuguese guitar' search for Carlos Paredes. He was the master of Portuguese guitar.
I am Portuguese. I love Fado. It's not for everyone, but it reaches in people's soul. For me, i'ts like someone is squeezing my chest and the tears burn in my eyes. Not always sad, but can be melancholy. It's an explosion of emotion, not necessarily sadness, but more like a catharsis. It feels good afterwords. I'ts very beautiful music and poetic lyrics. I'ts usually about longing, whether for a person, a love, a place, or a life. There are also happy Fado songs. Thank you for exploring this. Beijinhos. 💖
This was so refreshing and moving. Im here for it
Tem que ouvir Sara Correia em »Madrugou»
A good fado song that I've seen people react to on CZcams before is Ó Gente Da Minha Terra by Mariza. The live video in Lisbon specifically. It's a beautiful song, but I'm personally a huge fan of her voice so I'm biased 😅
That is also very beautiful
That sounds amazing!!!
Fado means fate. Normally they sing about lost love and solitude. I never heard a fado that was less than beautiful...
Fado is love.
The word “Fado” comes from Latin and means “destiny”.
which says a lot about its depth. In fado we find a wide variety of strong emotions: love and lack of love, misfortune, nostalgia, longing... but also joy and humor.
Fado is feeling. if you go to a “casa de fados” (Fado”s house) for dinner, you will going to see many people, tourists, that they don”t know how to speak Portuguese, crying, just becouse listening the singer.
I would for sure be crying!
Listen Mariza and "Cavaleiro monge ", it's the new singer's and fado is reborn again...if you start... never stops..ah Listen "Carminho" you gonna enjoy to..a lot, Carminho is one of the power voices in fado, and fado is life and what go's wrong in life of eachother...the complications of life....and Fado is a sorrow...
I'm portuguese...so happy you reacted to 'Fado'. Fado is usually very melacholic and you for sure don't need to understand it to feel it. And what to say about the portuguese guitar...it's just a delight. Thank you 😁 ♥♥♥
This was so beautiful and moving! Will check out more for sure.
Carminho - Lágrimas do Céu (ao vivo); the full show version at Lux has some a sick guitar solos btw.
Ana Moura - E Viemos Nascidos do Mar; the video quality is very low, so I recommend the version called Ana Moura no Forte da Trafaria, the song starts at 8:09 of that compilation.
*Bro just use google translator for reading these words, it is not perfect but it is pretty decent.
amazing how you instantly went for sorrow :D its really close
I'm from Portugal living in England for 10 and 1/2 years and glad with your choice. Fado is a very peculiarly and registered mark from Portugal if you know what i mean. Keep cracking with the great job.
Metal forever 🎸🤘
Yo much love friend! I really loved this.

Loving the diversity of the reactions. This was great, definitely a new artist for me and one I’m keen to hear more of. As you said good music is good music no matter the genre, and that’s music to my ears.
Wait till you see whats coming lol
The other instrument is the Portuguese guitar. It has 12 strings. And it gives a magical sound. Watch to fado laranjeira from camané with Marta Pereira Or carminho live in Germany. The Portuguese guitar is well explicite on both.
I loved this!
Uma maravilha esta canção os guitarristas os melhores que há e a fadista a melhor de todas a sara
The other instrument calls " Portuguese guitar " and has twelve strings .
Fado is a difficult and different kind of music...we play it with a Portuguese guitar wich have 12 strings. As Jimmy page said one day....the most beautiful guitar ever, bot only play with Portuguese soul. I thank you so much for your reaction
Try Mariza and Ana Moura!👌
O outro instrumento é a famosa guitarra portuguesa.. abraço.
I hope you get to some Madredeus. Maybe O Pastor, it's their most well known song.
I will have to check it out. I loved this.
Fado was recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO since 2011. Usually it is sung by a woman or a man accompanied by a portuguese guitar and a classical guitar. It represents the soul of portuguese people and their traditions.
I love it!
You must to come to Portugal and listen the fado alive! Fado represents the soul of portuguese people!
Thats the portuguese guitarra bro 😊❤
You got the exact emotions, even without understanding the words.
Try to listen to these other songs (of fado too):
Carminho - "Uma vida noutra vida"
Madredeus - "Alfama"
Cristina Branco - "Não há só tangos em Paris"
Thank you for your appreciation of portuguese music! :)
try the first one
The Best. Sara Correia.
What a great idea to do things by country.
We are about to go on a wild ride lol I loved the idea!
Allamedah - Algema , Metal with Fado. Continue with the great job :)
FOR REAL! That sounds amazing!
Ah, Portuguese Fado.
I LOVED IT!
What you call "mandolin" is the Portuguese guitar. Jimmy Page had one and said he could never learn how to play it because it inly obbeys the Portuguese soul.
Fado is the most iconic portuguese music ! Only portugueses can sing like that! This is a portuguese guitar, that s why it sounds so unic.
I loved this!
❤❤❤❤
Thanks. If you love fado you need to listen dulce pontes in canção do mar 2003 or marisa. They are two great great singers. Listen and watch. Is stunning. Big hug from portugal
A Marisa e aDulce cantam lindamente, as duas são estrodinarias.Mas a Sara, nasceu fadista.É só a diferença .
@@mariaglorica9435 tambem concordo. Sou fã da sara. É extraordinária. Até como pessoa nao ha duvida
Great ❤, Please react to Diana Navarro ' El Perdon ', She is incredible spanish singer. ❤
Hello, Im portuguese and I love Fado.
Listen Mariza, Oh Gente da Minha Terra... Live in lisbon (Belém).
Thanks you liked the portuguese culture!
Bye!
much love friend!
Thanks .. dont forget please!
Its amazing!!
The instrument is called a Portuguese guitar, this is traditional fado
Nice!❤🇵🇹👌🤟
Fado ❤
This was wild to hear.
You should react to " só á noitinha" by Sara Correia!
❤
Please react to the portuguese entry for the Eurovision Song Contest, Iolanda - Grito
czcams.com/video/K5wDGhcDSpQ/video.html
Beautiful song, well composed, refined and amazing
The singer is amazing, she deserves a listening.
I'm a big fan of Floor so obviously I'm hard to satisfy. I'm portuguese btw.
That is fado
Hard to describe your feelings? That's what happens to all foreigners who have never heard of Fado! Why? Fado goes straight to your heart and soul filling them with strong emotions. And you don't need much: two guitars (including the Portuguese Guitar), a fado singer (they are usually extremely talented) and the Portuguese Language.
it was so beautiful
um tipo que gosta de heavy...nunca w ex...
Listen to Ricardo Gordo. Fado Metal
hell yea! Thanks friend
Also gonna leave this here! It's a rough Google translation of the lyrics 😅 Should be enough to get the gist of it!
If the more I squeeze you
The less I feel you here
If the more I separate you
You own my days
What a wise or uncertain God
In the winter I saw you
He did it because he wanted to leave you
To my empty hands
You came to me in secret
With everything to give me
You took it by conquest
My loneliness
Baby, don't be afraid
If you want to live in me
I'm the house, don't insist
Run away from my hand
Baby, don't be afraid
If you want to live in me
I'm the house, don't insist
Run away from my hand
It's just that I don't even live
And I lie to the laws of life
You don't even make an address
Because you want to live on moons
The love that was given today
It's half goodbye
It's kind of the end of the road
I miss you half
The love that was given today
It's half goodbye
It's kind of the end of the road
I miss you half
And now the math is done
My love tell me where you are going
Or don't say anything
That the pain will be enough
Let them fall undone It's pain, nothing more
That at the end of the morning I know you will come back
Let them fall undone It's pain, nothing more
That at the end of the morning I know you will come back
thank you so much! I really appreciate it!
This is Fado. The national portuguese music, always dramatic and emotional.
Try to listen Ana Moura, Carminho and Sara Correia.
I looked the lyrics up, and I'm not sure how accurate the translation was but it was interesting for sure. I still don't know what the song was about but I agree it did sound sorrowful. She's an amazing singer and I really liked the music as well.
