You guys in the US have your, almost mythical, story of how the country came to be. In Sweden there is an opposite story. During only 50 years, 1870-1920, about 1/3 of the total population emigrated to America. This is the backstory to the musical Kristina which is based on the five books about this exodus by Wilhelm Moberg. There are almost no family in Sweden that don't have a story about this monumental period of time.

Been listening to this song for 50 years, and saw them 4 or 5 times in the 70s. Where ya been?

Everyone of us, when he has reached a decent age, has had these perfect times and the sad ones. One and a half year ago (end of 2022), I have stayed with my father for around one month as he got sick and was not anymore able to live alone. So I have shown him some videos over the time in first case from Ramstein: Deutschland, Mein Herz brennt as regular and Piano version, Adieu, Du hasst (Paris version as example of perfect crowed control) and Zeit and discussed with him the videos. And yes, Zeit really has had an impact on him, he was well aware, that his live will come to an end in next years. Last summer my father died after a short but rough 6 week illness. When I hear the song or when I see the video, I have to rember this time. It is not easy, it is getting better, but you have to recognize, the grief time has still not ended..

Steven’s songs are like huge paintings. There are as many layers to be found as you are paying attention to it. The soundscapes and the song writing is just on another level. This particular song is one of the best ever made.

Wow, what a voice..what a comfort. It reminds me of my old friend. The tree I spent my young days in, giant sugar maple tree. I would climb high.. the wind rocking the branches slow. The sound of the wind in the leaves a white noise comfort. I would visit my friend every chance I got back to my hometown, touch the bark, look up in that dense canopy.. feel the bolt my dad put thru it to keep it from splitting in 2. After 50+ years it was still standing, a little rough, a bit weathered like me. It finally was cut down a couple years ago.. to my dismay but I knew it's time was short. This song may have 0 to do with that, but that's the images that came to my mind immediately. Anyways great song, great voice, great reaction Tommy. ❤and✌️

This band is one of those VERY rare gems. I mean, I probably hear about 50 to 100 new bands per week (im always searching for new music), and only a few I call rare gems. The guitars are perfect, crushingly heavy yet intricate melodies,love the drums, the vocals, the piano, the overall atmosphere created is just mind blowing.🤘

I liked this all around. The imagery,the vocals, and the lyrics. It sounds like something that would have been made in the late 90's or early 2000's. Yea good stuff, in my opinion.

oh, yes, tommy, it was about time! it's one of those bands you'd never discover without reaction-channels. she has a phenomenal tone in her voice. the songs have excellent, deep and meaningfull lyrics. the video is directed by heiðrikur á heygum, who also directed for eivor and is himself an excellent musician too. ( flowers on your grave, live this video) the production in total is absolut top class. incredible when you think about the fact that they don't have huge production companies and stuff on the faroe islands, and yet the music scene is huge! this music video has only 13.475 views, and it's a shame for a band with this qualities, they deserve to be seen!

This was actually my introduction to Nightwish, my bf at the time knew I loved musical theatre and was like "you should hear this" and I was a Nightwish fan from that moment on :D This was in 2003 btw :p
