An accusation does not equate guilt. This is a different scenario in which case a wife and girlfriend are squabbling. One party is telling the truth the other is fibbing. Karlsson and Hoffman know which is which and it appears the goods will be made public in the not too distant future. One of these guys will end up never trusted by colleagues and will forever be a locker room cancer.

I could see them both gone. I highly doubt Karlsson will want to remain there even if Hoffman is gone. City has nothing but negative energy in regards to himself and his family. I don’t normally condone being sexist and misogynistic towards females.
But if I’m Mike Hoffman, the term “Bros Before Hoes” should be taken extremely seriously in this matter. I know Mike has always been a douchebag since his junior days when I knew him on my Facebook group. But I thought he’d have grown up.
Because well, if my wife tragically lost our baby and my teammates/coworkers/friends girlfriend went off and harassed us with made up shit. Made profiles to keep talking about and troll us and I found out.
Two things will happen:
1. You dump the female and own up to how much of a scumbag she is.

2. I come to your house, I tie her to a chair. BUT Because I don’t hit women, I can have another female come and beat her ass or if I don’t have a female with me, I beat the dog shit out of said Teammate and make her watch.
There’s no other choices.
I won’t hit a bitch, but I’ll shake the shit out of her if I caught her doing this.
My wife almost died last year from her pregnancy and I would beat anyone to an inch of their life if they said something this fucked up.

As a fan of the Ottawa Senators I can say that Melnik shouldn't be an owner of a Pro team. The guy just doesn't care about the fans at all. A couple of years ago he fired the anthem singer Lyndon Slewidge (police officer) that cause some serious blow back from fans who more than likely didn't buy tickets afterwards.
There was this thing for the Heritage game where he said that he would move the team, Alfredsson's last year, Turis stating it was Melnik's fault that he was traded and much much more really. Fans have put up biliboards asking him to sell in Ottawa in places where he must be passing by.
It's part of the issue with the team having low attendance really. Especially after saying that he wanted to move the team...

Melnik has had multiple bad pressers come out in Ottawa. It's not just the few that I have on there there's been more than I can count. What ever you hear people in Ottawa hear it 10 times as much. Put it to you this way the guy had life saving surgery because of a fan donating a kidney years ago and at that time I was surprised that somebody cared to do that and really that didn't change his attitude at all it just got worst and worst.
If you wonder why the Sens have an attendance problem it's one because of location and two Melnik in that order.

I have a feeling you are seeing Karlsson traded this summer. Destinations are likely Edmonton, Vegas, Vancouver, or Calgary. I say Calgary and Vancouver because of the assets they have to go by acquiring Karlsson, Calgary less than Vancouver. I think Edmonton, Vegas, and Vancouver are the best odds to secure a deal with Ottawa based on assets and a destination in which he would like to play. And to be fully honest Vancouver and Edmonton are the tops on that list, It could even be a draft day move. You look at first round 2018 from either team, as well 1 or 2 prospects and maybe even some later round and next year picks pending the prospects involved.
Hypothetical:
Edmonton - 2018 First rounder + Third rounder + Jesse Puljujarvi + 2020 3rd round Conditional draft pick(If he resigns with Edmonton) + 2019 3rd round Conditional draft pick(Playoff performance win cup first rounder, round 2 or 3 second rounder)
Vancouver - 2018 First rounder + Nikolay Goldobin + Adam Gaudette + 2019 Second rounder + 2020 Second rounder + 2020 3rd round Conditional draft pick(If he resigns)
And even then that seems low to me.

If I was in Erik Karlsson’s position I’ve already made up my mind to leave Ottawa, it doesn’t even matter to me if Hoffman gets traded away at this point. EK should get the hell out of Ottawa and the Senators should accept a reasonable offer because they do not have any sort of leverage anymore
I find it hard to believe that this thing only popped up within the last season. Turris' wife knew about this and her comments make it sound like it was a well established feud. I'd be surprised if this hasn't been going on for a while
Pretty sure that if Karlsson doesn't want to leave, the honest thing to do is for the Senators to find a way to get rid of Hoffman. This sort of stuff can't fly, and Karlsson had enough crap for one year. If he wants to leave, they should let him do whatever he wants.
