"South Beach is a beach and a neighborhood in the city of Miami Beach. It covers the southernmost 23 blocks of an island that separates the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay. This area was the first section of Miami Beach that was developed, starting in the 1910s, thanks to the efforts of Carl G. Fisher, the Lummus brothers, John S. Collins and others. The area has been changing over time by human and natural action, such as the hurricane of 1926, which destroyed most of the area. Since then, the economy has been booming, increasing tourism.
South beach, found between 1st and 25th street on Miami Beach, South Beach is the busiest and most famous in Miami.
Is one of the most fashionable places in the city, both to see an be seen, and it's always full of both locals and tourists looking for a good time.
South Beach is the stereotype that we all think of when we picture Miami: an image of a thousand films and TV series, of vice and gym-toned bodies with the infinite blue of the sea as a backdrop.
Is so popular for its energy, nightlife and lifestyle. Here, fashion and going topless (not permitted on the other Miami beaches), are the order of the day.
This is a long beach of fine white sand and shallow waters, meaning you can't surf on South Beach."
