- This was part of our DIY PPF course, however, we have slip packets now so you don't have to use the syringe. This video seemed to help other installers so we're keeping it up! Enjoy. If you're interested in PPFing your Tesla Model 3 or Y, check out our full courses at courses.tesbros.com.

I have watched about 20 ppf videos looking for the proper mix for solutions. This is the 1st I have seen that actually tells your mix rates. Thank you!.
Thanks! Good video man
Hi, do they make precut 3m 2.0 2024 model 3 ppt? Can you also make some video to install the fender, doors, and trunks? Thanks.
Great video thanks. For the tack solution - I noticed you used 70% isopropyl alcohol. What if I used 90% isopropyl alcohol does the 8:2 ratio still work or does the alcohol need to be further dilluted?
Since it’s stronger I would further dilute it. I normally use 70
Can the tack solution work on Matte paint finishes without damaging the paint ?
yes
Hi Tesbros, what particular soap? Can i use baby shampoo?
The 200 ml ISO Alcohol, is ithat a 70% or 90% isopropyl alcohol that I pour into the 800ml distilled water? Iam in Australia hardware store sell 2 kinds of ISO alcohol 70% & 90% ISO alcohol. Thanks
70% iso alcohol. I like using 7th generation dish soap or dawn dish soap, but I know some people do use baby shampoo
is it okay if i use Fairy for the slip solution?
shouldn't be a problem!
I have an area of PPF where a few millimeters have started lifting on the edge after about a year. Would tack solution fix it?
Since it's been a year, no. It'll probably keep lifting. If it bothers you, you can get the panel replaced. If you got it done through an installer, see if you have a warranty that protects against this.
where can i get those double trigger bottles?
Here you go! tesbros.com/products/spray-bottle-2-pack
excuse the noob question but what type of soap should I use for slip solution?
We usually use seventh generation dish soap
@@tesbros thank you!!
@@tesbros hello, what is the difference in texture of 7th gen to baby shampoo? i found baby shampoo to be oily, im not sure with 7th gen its not available in my country, is it the same as Dawn dishwash?
Can we use tack solution for installing ppf?
Yes, you use both slip and tack
man i just mixed some dawn dish washing fluid and water. fuck all that
Is there any validity to use hot water as a tac solution?
It can be when you want the film to stretch a bit easier and water can be used as tack. Essentially what you are doing is flushing out the soap and replacing it with water or water mixed with alcohol. That activates the adhesive and makes it “tack”.
@@tesbros thanks . I'll be doing my 1st install soon. Ive mostly heard of alcohol and water mix until It next heard of just only hot water. Would you recommend one for this 1st time diy'er? I have a tac diagram for each piece.
@@mrbrown30238 Good luck! I usually use hot water only in certain areas. For example, I use it for mirrors when I'm bulking it. Or when I'm doing a good amount of stretch on a difficult bumper. If you don't have to use it, I'd recommend using the alcohol/water mix for tack.
@@tesbros is it advisable to use heatgun on the edges for easy stretching?
@@tesbros very much thx
How many gallons of distilled water needed to do the whole front?
2 gallon should be enough since one bottle per panel but doesn’t hurt to have extra.
