They’re not screws, they’re bolts. Bolts have a pre threaded hole and screw make their own thread into the material.

The issue with getting warranty service with Tesla, is they want to avoid it altogether, if possible🙄. This may be due to too many cars,with too little SCs to support them. They will happily do, warranty service, as an addon item though🤔. I did have a tough time, even with a recall item(rear camera harness). Also, it is difficult to make them accept a manufacturing defect. I got the aeroshield torn(2018 M3), could not get warranty service. Later, it happened second time, but this time I decided to switch over to aluminum and attempted to do it myself. In the process, I found two square nuts that were supposed to be welded were not🤯(one pair missing!, may have caused the problem to begin with). I had a tough time prying front bumper to hold nut from above to complete the upgrade. Now, why on earth Tesla did not find it during/after first repair🤔. I want my 💵300+ back😢.Tesla support sucks. Good video though, but goodluck with Tesla in fixing any issues for free🤞.❤👍

Maybe a step drill bit would have been better imo. I will assume the CT warranty is done-zo 🤔. This reminds me of 2018-2019 Model 3 ‘s w/no auto trunk release. There were aftermarket sales for it all over the place, until Tesla incorporated into the next gen 3’s, and subsequently offered retrofit kits✌🏻😎. Surely Tesla will do the same w/the CT, thereby rendering this obsolete. Next gen CT’s will likely have more features built in such as: - folding front/center console seat - fold flat front seats - carpeted door pockets - frunk AC outlets - built in air compressor - running boards (as an option) - folding center bed tray - powered bed window - rear bumper camera (for either towing and/or when driving/w/the bed open) Tesla will incorporate these in an attempt to stay ahead of the new R1, Silverado, and Lightning imo 🤔.

Wow! The amount of time and effor! Seesh! Was it worth it for all that work to spray fluid, so excessive, to clean the camera that requires a car wipe down? Just manually wipe the camera! 😅

Found a great product to remove the adhesive. My ppf was cracked in million pieces. I took so much time taking the film off, trying to get into large sheets. Took more time- but this adhesive remover worked great. SEM 77793

Just a note for the kit - I would prefer to remove the hood "T" emblem and have the PPF not have a cutout for it. Same for the rear "TESLA" lettering.

I keep reading how perfect this job was but Where is his torque screwdriver?! He didn’t torque any of the screws down to specs.
