- This is the 4th and final episode of my tour of Veronaville 10 Rotations Later. In this episode, we visit the sims currently at University (Bottom Summerdream, Hal Capp, Desdemona Capp, Ariel Capp & Benedick Monty) and the Academie Le Tour Premades (Delilah O'Feefe, Phineaus Furley, Marla Biggs, Edwin Sharpe, Roxie Sharpe, Jonah Powers, Chaz Whippler, Ellen Frost, Emily Lee, Tom Freshe, Max Flexor and Mitch Indie) who have since graduated and moved into the main hood.

I often put Roxie, Jonah, and Chaz together as a polycule, they seem to work well together.
I too sometimes struggle with Romance and Pleasure sims. I'd say they're the most boring, single-minded types in the game, but then there is of course, the Grilled Cheese sim. No one EVER gets that secondary aspiration in my games. The only one allowed to be her gooey, grilled cheese self is Natasha Una from Desiderata Valley (she's a premade and is the only one with a natural Grilled Cheese primary aspiration). But yeah, Pleasure and Romance can be rough, even with secondary aspirations or mods like the Hopeless Romantic trait. I always have to try really hard to get to know them and figure out what kind of sim they are that makes them different from the rest. Miranda Capp ended up being secondary Family in my game, so that actually turned out pretty cool. But Roxie, Jonah, and Chaz are pretty boring, in my opinion; hence why they all live together, so I can just play their round and be done with them faster 🤣
That's interesting, someone else said they did the same thing with Roxie, Jonah and Chaz and I could definitely see that working!
I have never played with a Grilled Cheese sim before and I think I'd hate it, but I would definitely play Natasha Una as intended when I eventually get round to Desiderata Valley so that will be an experience. I did come up with a rule that if a sim scored all negatives in my aspiration calculator that that would make them a grilled cheese, but it hasn't happened yet!
I think Miranda is definitely family vibes so I love her. And I'm definitely going to put all the sims I find boring to play in a retirement home together when they're elders, I'll probably build it this weekend actually since some are already elders and others are about to be - I'm thinking Roxie, Jonah, Emily, Tom, Mitch & Drake for now. Chaz has done enough to make himself interesting enough for now but maybe all will be revealed in a future video :) Thanks for watching!
When it comes to wedding wants, I just need one of them to roll the want and the other can't have the fear. But the one with the want is the one who intiates the wedding, so if the other one gets cold feet they still have the risk of leaving at the alter.

Aw, I personally really like Roxie. It's interesting seeing how different she is in your game. She did all the cleaning autonomously in the house and is the only one who rolled a want to get a job. She also had twins with Jonah, and has been a good mom. Jonah on the other hand has barely even acknowledged his kids. I don't think he's gotten them a bottle even once. Roxie is the one keeping the house afloat at this point.
I love the Uni pre-mades. Normally I move Uni pre-mades into the downtown, but I did like you and didn't add a Downtown to Veronaville.
It made me laugh that Furley is living in the same complex as Kent Capp since in my game they fell in love and are currently married with a daughter.
Lol, Tom and Emily began a sexual relationship in my game as well. Tom's the one Goneril and Albany set up to be Miranda's future spouse, as they're keeping up the tradition of arranged marriages with their kids (with mixed results), and I feel his thing with Emily was really very casual on his end as he and Miranda became friends while he was in Uni and she was casually dating around as well (I like a Romance sim personally, although I'll admit Romeo being Romance always kind of bugged me). Emily though broke my heart when she started autonomously woohooing with Tom as she had been in a long term committed relationship with Ellen Frost at that point. She's still sneaking around behind Ellen's back, but I'm waiting to see if she gets caught.
That sounds really cool! I had hoped that some of the ALT sims would have paired with some of the Veronaville sims but the living setups in Uni just ended up in them pairing between themselves
I think you should go ahead and make those changes to the aspirations, i agree that pleasure and romance sims are not as fun to play. Mahjong is pronounce "mar" like the beginning of March, and "jzhong" like the "je" in "je m'appelle" plus the "ong" part of "gong". Hope that helps, or is at least understandable! Really enjoy seeing what you've been doing with the premades! Thank you for the video.
Ah! Thank you :) Yeah I did make some aspiration changes, I think I need to come up with a system to restrict romance & pleasure sims like only allow it if all other aspirations score negative in my calculator or something like that

You asked if anyone is a self-proffessed Romance sim? I came across a modder who claimed to be a Romance sim. I'm personally a Fortune sim and if the Popularity sim wasn't so into meeting new people but rather on maintaining friendships, I think I'd be either a secondary Pleasure or Popularity.
I've grown to really enjoy all the different aspirations (except maybe Grilled Cheese, mainly because there's so little variety in it.)
I changed Max and Mitch's ACR gender preferences to bi, because Maxis hints at them becoming a couple, and they recently had twins in my game, but still hasn't wanted to get married. It's happen eventually, I'm sure.
I try really really hard to not move townies in (Mercutio is my only exception in Veronaville, as he married a dormie girl her met in Uni. She turned out to be a Romance sim and heart-fartz over Romeo every time they're on the same lot. Hopefully she doesn't break his heart with his brother) so the Uni pre-mades have been essential. Tybalt married Marla Biggs despite having negative chemistry (totally automously after being rooms for most of Uni) which has given me this soft spot for them thinking that they fell in love despite things being stacked against them.
I moved Chaz in with Jonah and Roxie and created a fun little polycule household. We'll see if they cause any drama in the couples.
I don't mind playing pleasure and romance sims as much as you do but I still wish there were more aspirations in the game. I wonder how difficult it would be to create custom ones from a technical standpoint. I'm sure someone must have tried.
I’m torn on this one, I have thought that there should be more aspirations too, but I struggle to think of any ideas that could be as full and complete as the ones we have. What I like to do is imagine there are sub categories to the aspirations, inspired by Sophie the Puffin’s calculator but instead I just judge it off personality and other factors in game like traits, interests, hobbies, LTWs and things like that. Like a romance sim could be like Don Lothario or be a hopeless romantic with the right trait and mods, or a Fortune sim could be a hard worker or a gold digger, things like that! I feel like it must be impossible to add or even change the aspirations at this point, but then modders do keep surprising us!
@@BellaDovah Yeah you're probably right. I love the power aspiration as a concept (not necessarily linked to wanting to have money or friends, more like wanting to control others and be respected or feared), but there may not be enough gameplay to support it.
Off the top of my head, I can see the power aspiration being associated with the wants to influence other sims to do things, to have a good reputation, to initiate and win fights or games, to defeat the grim reaper, to initiate arguments, to throw a great party, to be the big guy on campus, to join the secret society, to pratice charisma and body skill, to get into politics or law enforcement, and to get promoted. Or even the wants to become a witch, a werewolf or a vampire, and to cast spells and turn other sims. I can see Marie-Sue Pleasant and Tybalt Capp as good candidates for that aspiration. I'd have to think about aspiration benefits, but the ultimate one would probably either be unlimited influence for the influence interaction or some unlockable interaction that does something cool like romance sims' "smooth talk".
There's definitely some overlap with the popularity aspiration, but without the constant wants to make friends and with some knowledge and fortune thrown in there as well. I don't know if people would be interested in such an aspiration, I kinda like it but maybe it's too redundant.
@@letomills that sounds really cool and like a great concept actually! I had always thought that the power aspiration would just be the same as a Popularity + Fortune Sim but yeah sounds like there could have been more to it than that but at least secondary aspirations do get us closer and add more variation! Have you ever had any ideas for what other aspirations could be? I think theres a Creativity one in one of the console games but again I can’t see it being as in depth as the base game ones
@@BellaDovah Creativity sounds like it could have a ton of related wants. Painting, sewing, writing novels and blog articles, preparing food, winning food contests, playing music, making flower arrangements, toys, robots and pottery. Maybe even building cars, tinkering and gardening, although in practice those are more strictly manual work than creative work so maybe not. Creativity sims could roll wants to improve their creativity and cooking skills, and to become artists, cooks, architects, musicians or free-lance novelists.
Mulling over this gave me two other aspiration ideas, I don't know how viable they would be but I'm just gonna throw them out there: home-making and adventure.
Home-making would have some overlap with creativity but it would be less all-encompassing and more focused on, well, the home. It could be associated with wants like preparing food, cleaning things, watering flowers, trimming bushes, Seasons gardening, learning fire prevention, throwing home parties, staying home from work, resigning, retiring. Home-makers could even roll the fear of getting a job and have no interest in going to uni or doing well in uni. This is quite specific but I would love home-makers to roll a want to go buy groceries when the fridge is getting close to being empty - they would definitely be on top of these things. I'm getting carried away but since there are laundry and vacuum cleaning mods out there, they could roll wants to do laundry and to vacuum clean if those are installed. Home-making would of course also overlap with the family aspiration on the social side of things, with wants to have a partner, learn couple counseling and parenting, have a child, have children who do well in school, help children with their homework, encourage children, and having high relationship scores with the household members. I see it as overlapping with fortune too, in that home-makers would enjoy having a comfortable home with nice things in it, like an expensive fridge, comfortable beds, a nice TV, pretty decorative items, toys for the kids and the pets. They would especially want to buy a burglar alarm, a fire alarm, a fireplace or the Apartment Life heater during winter, a ceiling fan during summer, and a lightning rod when it's storming outside.
Adventure would be the counterpart to home-making. Adventurers would love being outside the home, going on hikes, going fishing, going on walks with their pets, going on community lots, going downtown, getting cards to have access to secret hobby lots, buying a vehicle, and of course going on trips and doing everything there is to do in the vacation destinations. When they don't have money to go on vacation, they might roll wants to read novels, watch movies and play video games, for escapism (although maybe that would seem too out of character, not sure). They would also like to stargaze and they'd be happy to be abducted by aliens, like knowledge sims do. I can see them being happy to be turned into supernatural creatures as well, because that's an exciting adventure in itself. The adventurer career seems like an obvious fit, but they could also be interested in oceanography, paranormal or natural science.
@@BellaDovah I did make my own take on the Power aspiration btw. Basically the opposite of Popularity, where they mainly want to make enemies (and also make money too). So, essentially, what I had in mind for power is the "evil" aspiration.
Could you make a small video showing how you use your aspiration calculator? I have tried to use it but the wording is very confusing to my dyslexic brain haha
I have thought about making a video dedicated to it but I actually did show how to use it in Episode 4 of my Opening Valley lets play and it has a chapter dedicated to it so should be easy to find, let me know if you have any questions after watching it, it was difficult to explain it in writing so I’m not surprised it can be difficult to understand!

That’s so lovely to know🥰 I got to round 24 but I’m not currently playing them. I got a new PC at the start of this year and committed to entirely redoing my downloads folder and then eventually starting a new hood, but that is going very slowly. I do still have all the files backed up so I could plop them in whenever I want, but it was kind of starting to lose its spark a little where I left off…although I do still really love these sims, I may revisit them. I did actually record gameplay footage for round 20 that I was planning to speed & chop up and commentate over, but I honestly got overwhelmed with it😅 So you may see these sims on my channel again, but I don’t have any current plans😊 I may even just post some screenshots in my discord or on a new tumblr side blog or on patreon or on my website or something potentially
Do you know any CC that can replace the eyeshadow I want the makeup to look the same just less patchy and smoother. I've been playing the Sims 2 for like 3 months and I'm still trying to find good CC for my Mac😭
