I've gotten back into Sims 2 and rebought all games from the series. But I wanted cc and now I'm going through and evaluating everything before I start up my game again. Videos like these are still so informative. Maybe once I get my own thing together I can post about cc I like and recommend.

hey guys! maybe this is a silly question but i really wanna know how to get the need/wants/ setting bar to have the white color like the one in this video, instead of the original blue color. is it a mod or just depends on the game version?

i really wish there was a catalog mod that makes a icon that takes up the space between the pets and misc categories, then emulates the buy mode categories panel, and migrates all the custom content to that emulated panel. i hate how the catalog gets horrendously cluttered with random bits from cc sets, and it's also a PITA to make a collection file if one wasn't included and recategorize everything manually to only show in a collection.

The video was nice, thanks for sharing <3 I was wondering if there's a mod that lets you track your Sim stats (like the stat panel that's actually in ts4). For example, how many days have you played on a lot, how many lovers, bffs or enemies does your Sim have, how much money have they earned in their entire life... It would make it easier to fulfill some wants

There should be a mod where you can have a bigger UI without resizing your screen😊

Just one thing about ask about favourite colour - Meduza already made one a long time ago, the downside is that it only talks about 1 colour. It's called Ask about favorite/disliked color. Their favourite colour shows in the speech bubble, not in the notification popup

why not link the mods in the description in the order they're shown?

It's interesting seeing the avatar mod in action since it's not really something I would gravitate towards, but the animations remind me a lot of the magic duels in Makin' Magic. Definitely could be fun to use in a magic town recreation!

The Age Options for Teleporters mod has since been updated to add menus for Young Adults, Babies (combined with the toddler menu), Cats, and Dogs - amazing!😍

I am not sure thats even possible, but a mod that adds a new influence option to "feed cowplant" would be a great addition to the evil sims. Overall the influence pie menu has so much potential.

I made a mistake by downloading both the Maxis Baby Bottle Controller and the Multi Default Baby Bottle at the same time, you're only supposed to use one! So, the textures did not look as intended. So whichever one you pick, the textures will look even better than shown here!

Man my only wish for mod creators to do is an overlay of a facial mask for sims who likes beauty care.

Wow,! Thanks again, BellaDovah! I really have enjoyed these showcases. I can get overwhelmed when reading mod pages so seeing you try the mods in game ready helps. Just want to add that when I put Jacky 93's Functional Bouncy Castles on a lot for a birthday party, the Sims were bugging out when they pick up a plane of food. What's Caused This? showed it to be the bouncy castles. Maybe don't put in out when the Sims need to eat, all maybe one of my other mods was clashing with it.

47:06 those baby bottles are just so cute so I had to download them!! I also grabbed the cowplant mod at 14:42 (as well as cowplant milk cures zombieism), the popcorn machine at 52:03, and the nails overlay at 54:28 (and some PlatinumAspiration ones cos they had all genders child to elder ones too!) thank you for doing these BellaDovah I really appreciate the time and effort it takes to not only make this video but finding the mods/cc to showcase, testing them for us and showing us how they play in game and are used etc I have a question about the CAS Makeup Lag Fix by Lazy Duchess at 59:17 , I have no idea where to put the files for the ultimate collection, if anyone can walk me through it that would be a great help! tysm I assumed for UC it would be " C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSBin " but it didn't let me load the game and spat out sims 2 exception error text files in the same location

I am looking at our bottle default thinking it does not look quite right. The pictures should not be blurry like that. There are two sets. My set is based on Bienchen's and Gina's is based on the Maxis bottle. You don't by chance have both in at once do you? Thank you for showcasing it.

Which ones will you be adding to your downloads folder?! Remember when commenting to not include links or filenames (anything where a dot is in between 2 words without spaces) as it will automatically get deleted without me ever being able to see it and I don't know how to stop that from happening - my comment moderation is set to basic and it should just hold inappropriate comments for review yet any it sees as links are automatically deleted.

Another way that doesn’t have mods is to have 8 sims (family or not) make sure yo can invite them on your phone is they’re not family and move some out and get different sims in the family and invite the ones that moved out

So wait this guide works with the SIms2RPC only for a cracked version? I tried and It wants me to use the cracked version but I dont want to use a cracked version as I have the official Ultimate Sims 2 Collection. I'm a bit confused.

Ugghh I srsly love this video style. So nostalgic. No background music, clear structure, well and calm spoken - just natural as if you'd listen to a friend talking about sims mods. Thats so underrated as most videos are overloaded with crazy editing, way too loud sound effects AND SCREAMING AT YOU or ANnoyiNGly OVerDone EMphaSIS on WORDS which makes me wanna punch this persons face and turn off most videos even though I'm interested in the content. I'm glad I can watch peacefully through this one. Thanks!

This is one of the few games that imo doesn't need mods with the number of families, neighbourhoods and content to work through (e.g. University)... It's already packed full with stuff to do. I don't think doing laundry is needed really 😂. I removed the censorship because it was annoying but apart from that most things can be done in game or via console commands.

I really loved this video and i added a few things to my userStartup as well! Thank you so much for this and here are some tips and tricks of my own: the way familyfunds works is that it will work on multiple families of the same name but it wil only affect the family that was last played. For example with the goth family that consists of cassie and don and then the other goth family consisting of Morty and Dina and Alexander. If i last played don and cassie, the family funds will work on that family, not the other one. As for the loadlot cheat it actually can be used in the game shortcut proprieties in the target section press space and u can write stuff such as -load:"N001;165 Sim Lane" which will load the goth household or even -load:"N001;CAS!" which will skip the main menu and load cas in pleasantview. Note that unlike in game this cheat in the game properties will not work with subhoods. If you want to reset everything u can still use the batbox with cheats on and u dont have to click u can just hold down esc on the keyboard

There's actually quite a few cheats in here i never knew but def will now, especially your tip with the quarter tile placement. I havent seen anyone else mention these tips i know but i thought I'd share. If while typing a cheat you hit "tab" it will cycle between the cheats starting with what you typed. Example, typing just "m" then hitting tab will go from "maxMotives" and hitting tab again will go to the next cheat that starts with m, or typing "mov" then hitting tab will automatically finish with "moveObjects" then you just have to type on or off. This also works though with aliases! For for your zoning alias you could probably just type "z" hit tab and cycle through til you get the zoning you want. Also instead typing "x" to close the expanded cheat window, you can also hit "~" and it will close and open it. Sometimes i personally open it because it allows you to enter multiple cheats at a time rather than constantly having to hit ctrl shift c but most times it is closed lol (Quick edit bc I remembered: the tab tip will not work if you're typing a "boolprop"cheat but will if you have an alias for said boolprop cheat!)

I didn't know the simdna cheat. Being a very picky Sims baby breeder, often closing the household 20 times unsaved to get the DNA and personality combination I want, I am so going to use this cheat to also check if the resessive genes get to live in the next generation. And a tutorial how to rename the household would be helpful. Right now I always make sure I have only one household with an unique name, so I can still use the familyfunds cheat.

Has anyone tried using the Load Lot cheat on occupied apartments? Cause that would change everything. Also, a good example for why someone would force errors with the batbox is when the community time mod doesn't work for whatever reason. When it stuff up I force all errors on off world (I just put it in a comment because I feel like most people don't know this fix :) ) Great video as always! I definitely learned a couple new cheats :)
