I was driving in AZ just around dusk, when I heard this growing "roar" had no idea what it was, but it scared the hell out of me. After a couple seconds, four fighter jets flew maybe 300'ish over and past me along the highway. It was incredible. I don't know which one, but it was truly awesome!

Bill D. About 17 years ago a mate and I were in Queensland and standing on a relatively low lookout over a beach... All of a sudden two F111's came screaming up the beach, hard banked around the point we were on! Being massive aircraft nuts, we just stood there with our jaws dropped and cameras not even close to being pointed.... it was epic!

I'm sure any McDonnell Douglas/Boeing engineer that had a hand in creating the F-15 must feel an immense sense of pride and excitement after seeing these videos, knowing they brought this amazing aircraft to life. One of, if not the, most beautiful jet fighter aircraft ever made.

We sat on a French mountain and these jets flew over us on a training mission. We didn't hear or see them until they were about 20 metres above our heads. It scared the crap out of everyone as we weren't expecting it. Extremely impressive and the roar of those engines you just can't describe. This video doesn't do them justice.

Had a job on the top of a mountain as a fire lookout in Idaho. The pilots used to play hide and seek flying though the valleys avoiding radar detection. As the pilots would fly by we'd wave at each other. Very memorable....

It doesn't take as much skill as it might seem ... a steady hand is the trick ... and I'm a professional photographer. I have captured amazing still shots of fighters using a cheap point and shoot, as well as my expensive gear. The key to either is a very steady hand and shutter release, and sense of timing. This is said not as a put down for the photographer, but as encouragement for anyone who aspires to take similar caliber action shots of anything high speed.

@@greenlawnfarm5827 - no it's not. It's "clouds" forming on the wind tips due to the sudden pressure change as the air flows past the wing tip. It's the same thing that happens when you pop open a soda bottle. The air inside is clear and under pressure, when you pop open the high pressure air rushes out and creates a cloud in the top of the bottle.

I was involved in two different accidents with the 15's and now permanently carry some pieces of them in my body! Part of the old IC-7 ejection seat is in one of my Rt hand fingers. And then some in my back. And scars on my legs, hand and thermal burns in my eyes. Collapsed lungs came from working F-4's and 16's. No injuries from F-117 but did die (literally) while working them (Guano Virus). Was honored though to be able to fly the 15 and a 16 later on. Incentive flights. All in all worked F-4's, F-106's, F-15's, F-16's, T-38 and T-37's, HH-60 Helicopters and lastly the 22.

Witnessed a similar scene 20 years ago while hiking in the Lake District near Keswick UK. A little frightening since I didn't expect it.

I have seen footage like this in a special cinema which had an almost half spherical screen around viewers . I felt just like these pilots . I wish you try this someday.
