Might be why his teams Won. A Lot. & I don’t like the guy, but his teams in college won many games & championships….🤔
Most likely the same reason Nick Saban didn't do so well in the NFL. They must thrive off intimidating players that follow them which doesn't make for wins in the big league.
@@MattCange their fear and intimidation tactics don’t work on grown men. He never should have been hired, there is an active collegiate coach, very successful in College as well as the NFL by the name of Jim freaking Harbough, he should have been brought back into the league long before Urban, because his resume included being great at all levels in football.
I agree but Trent Baalke is GM for the Jags. Bad blood between them.

LMAO! I really hope some nfl team I don't care for hires that joke. Please, please! Even with luring recruits with more money than anyone else, cruises to Italy lol, and dominant players, he just now got around to a win against his teams arch rival, and even this one was aided by the weather conditions making it almost impossible to pass. He stinks. Man I hope a rival hires him. The jokes will be never ending. Actually, I bet Urban hopes he gets an nfl gig also, because people will quickly forget how bad Urban was after half a season watching Harbaugh (that's how you actually spell his name, not harbough like you suggested being his superfan) bury the franchise who makes the idiotic decision of letting him aboard. I'm now all about him being hired in the NFL, just to a team that I want to no longer win. His story is almost satirical. Even when surrounded by the best, still couldn't impress. But the most important thing is looking at how underwhelming he's been at TTUN. Yeah, he finally won one, so there's recency bias. But what about last year, year before, and before? He's a decent mascot, but zero good at coaching anymore. Especially now that he's like 90 percent run. I can guarantee, that elementary school approach will never work in today's NFL. He's just not very bright at all concerning coaching now, even in college game. Just rode a really heavy program until his number finally hit. But I'm seriously hoping he gets a NFL head coach spot, if for nothing else, the comedy.

I guarentee, no one back in college has stood up to him like that before, as he controlled their scholarship and future and could ruin it in heartbeat if he wanted too. That power trip seemingly carried over to the NFL, explaining why he thought he could get away with this bahaviour. But things don't work like that in the big leagues.
Took him less than a season to get exposed for this, I’m sure this was regular behavior for him in college.
@@unitedleagueofgamers3633 Yeah, I imagine stories are going to start trickling out from players coached by him now, the floodgates are open. The dude is the embodiment of toxic.

Yeah dude. Younghoe Koo was the leading scorer for the Falcons last year I’m pretty sure. Games are won and lost with kickers.
It had to be the kicker lol. I doubt he would try that with a player from any other position.
Cuz I don’t think he is suicidal. Special teams are the ones that could get kicked out the door and no one really will react unless it’s a Butker or a Tucker. And in most cases, aren’t these big behemoths that can kill you from a shove.

I can't believe they didn't jump all over the opportunity to reenact this scene! 🤣
Well, I mean, in Urban's defense, it's not like kicking a linebacker is a good idea.
“Please tell the court in your own words Mr. Lewis, how did the victims foot end up so far from his ankle”.
I can imagine a scenario that has the Jags owner paying Josh Lambo to come out with this so the Jags could fire Meyer "with cause", and not have to pay the remaining money on his contract. That's just me, I'm a little jaded at this point.
Yep because the whole story about being kicked in the head 3 months ago and keeping silent until now makes absolutely no sense!! Whole story is b.s.
Nahhh
@@ccrites123 Who got kicked in the head?
I imagine the viral video of conduct unbecoming of a person in his position, bringing shame upon the Jag organization was cause enough. I'm sure it's in contracts everywhere in the NFL that if you are found to be of low moral and ethical character while representing the organization, you're not getting paid. Imagine the owner is stuck with paying a guy for 4 years that he can't ethically allow to remain on the team. The kick was icing on the cake here.
@@Yo_AB_Breaks I agree, and btw, I'm not standing up for Meyer. His behavior is unacceptable, and there's a lot of coaches that deserve that position much more than he does.

@@cjj9127 imagine that crazy Italian Adam V just opening up a can of mama mia whoop ass on urban 😂😂😂😂
He probably never kicked a good player.
The kicker is an important position. Just because they are not on the field all the time it doesn't mean the position is not important. Kickers have won Superbowls. I know the media gives the QB credit when the kicker wins, but I give the kicker credit, because he could have missed, and the QB would become irrelevant. LOL
Well, they are called special. I think if teams focused more on making their offenses less complex, they might not have to really use the kicker that much. Just make your team more disciplined and tougher than anybody else and that likely fixes the need for a kicker in an already good team.
Kicking the kicker in the hamstring hoping he’ll kick better is like taking a tire off your car and hoping it’ll drive better

If a coach ever kicked me and said "make your kicks". I'd say score more touchdowns. 😤
Miss Lambo. Every year in previous years he paid the adoption fees for adopting pets at the pound in Jacksonville for the holidays. Legit good dude.
Great points by these guys, they keep improving with the takes
Considering his soccer background Im surprised the kicker didnt roll around on the ground screaming bloody murder....
He was a goal keeper, so he never got touched. Guy probably is a wimp.
Idk why pat was saying he didn't stand up for himself when the report said the kicker had told him to not do that again and urban said he would do it if he wanted to
My guess is that Urban kicked him and then walked away too quickly for him to respond. I can see the kicker being stunned/confused by the whole situation, and, then, once he’s processed what just happened, Urbana’s already 20+ feet out of range, walking away across the field.
Yep, everyone here is talking a big game but youre perfuming poorly at work and you know it, then your new manager walks in and kicks you out of the blue. Anyone pretending they’d be anything but confused is lying.
I’m almost never in favor of firing a head coach, particularly a first time head coach, after one season (or 13 games) but this needed to happen. I wouldn’t have been mad if it happened weeks ago tbh. It simply and obviously wasn’t working
As a Vikings fan I understand his frustration with kickers.......
As a Vikings fan you should also understand the frustration with the head coach 😂
My question is has he been treating college players like this all that time he coached. In assuming yes some they don't have contacts and backing from a players association. I've been taking my brain trying to think if I've ever heard a former OSU player say good things about Urban.
Nobody but his daughter thinks he's a good dude.
I wouldn't be surprised if there's a "me too" movement that starts up due to Urban getting exposed like this. I can't imagine that this behavior just started out of nowhere and against professionals with far more resources to knock his head into the dirt and be justified in doing so.
He definitely did that at OSU and Florida.
I knew this segment would be hilarious with Pat talking about it 😂😂😂
Actually a kicker is the leading scorer for the team, so I’d say they’re pretty important…more important than a fullback
And if you don’t want to rely on him to score and win you the game there is a VERY simple solution. It’s called score touchdowns.

I'm shocked by how many people I've seen side with Urban on this one. These aren't high school kids, these are grown ass, professional MEN. You have to treat them like men, not boys, to earn their respect.
