Jefferson is getting 40 million with and/or 100 guaranteed and there's no doubt about it. By the time Lamb, Aiyuk, Higgins and Chase get their contracts, the 33 million that Brown got will seem like a fair deal

The 49ers WR situation has a very easy answer. They are going to extend Brandon Aiyuk before the start of the season, they are going to sign Juwan Jennings to either a 1 year deal or a multi-year deal (don't know how that's going to play out) and they are going to keep Deebo on the team this year. Summer of 2025, Deebo will get cut or traded. The contract Deebo signed in 2022 was built for this end-game; he has a massive dead money hit if he's traded, and that dead money hit doesn't get a lot better if he's traded post June 1st. Summer of 2025, he has 1 year left and no dead money, he's going to get traded. Extending Brandon Aiyuk lowers his cap hit this year, when Aiyuk's cap hit goes up next summer, Deebo comes off the books to balance things out.
49ers have been pretty pragmatic and straightforward with their starplayers trading. They run it like a buisiness. They can afford to keep them. So they will. But if someone offers a 1st (buckner for instance) they do whats best for the buisiness longterm. Ppl need to stop overrhinking it :)

Obviously Kraft can afford to pay any NFL player, but historically the Patriots have been near or at the bottom of the NFL in terms of payroll. I like the idea of the Patriots trading for Deebo, however their past disinterest in acquiring a competent WR would lead one to believe that the team isn't willing to shell out at that position. They could have paid Hopkins last year, they didn't, Keenan Allen went for a 4th round pick, the Patriots weren't interested, could have paid Calvin Ridley, they didn't outbid Tennessee. If the Patriots were serious about getting a WR1 in trade or free agency they could have spent their 2nd round pick on a tackle instead of rolling the dice on a WR in round 2. Short version is I just don't see the Patriots making a move on Deebo or Aiyuk.

As a 49ers fan, I find these rumors ridiculous. The 49ers will have 28 million in free cap space once Armstead is off the books. There will be enough to keep both BA and Deebo (at least for next year). This includes paying Purdy a predicted 50 million dollar a year contract in 2025. In 2025, Deebo might get traded, but that's a long way off. I'm sure Dallas and Philly fans would love if any of these rumors were true...but they are NOT.

But then someway as what we are seeing this for Deebo, I would say the same thing to just trade Deebo and to keep BA for an extension. As a 9ers fan I hate this! I understand that this is a business. You have to do what’s best for the team, but I feel like DEEBO is the heart and Brandon is the soul of the team. It would be great to see them together when we finally win the chip!

I remember several years ago when RB contracts started blowing up like crazy...Todd Gurley was setting the market, Bell came after wanting more...then, the owners realized that good RB's were capped at worth. WR's are coming off the draft like crazy, they are flooding the market...these WR contracts cant maintain, I look for it to drop like crazy in the coming years.
I'd love to see a team comprised of individuals that are skilled enough to make the top 5 contract for their position, but are willing to receive 50% of their skill pay so they can have a dynasty and dominate football. Can you imagine? A team the a top 5 deep threat, top 5 slot, top 5 rb, top 5 qb, top 5 tightend, top 5 linemen, top 5 db's....an entire team comprised of selfless probowlers willing to play for 100m over 10 years instead of 200m over 10 years. Hell...just to maintain a team for about 5 years...then go get paid.

Not trading Deebo until next year.💯 That said Ricky Pearsall could be a plug and play for him. Ricky is also a better route runner and Deebo isn't a slouch on running the routes. It will be interesting to see but I have $10 in Deebo being on the Niners week one. I love Deebo on my team but tough decisions have to be made in the salary cap era.
I don't believe anyone will get traded this year but it is the last dance for this team! When Purdy gets his bag we're gonna lose studs on both sides of the ball that's why they drafted a WR instead of helping the O line or D line. you gonna mention Khalil Shakir? the guy who out produced Diggs in every category despite getting less than half the targets when the team was win or go home the last 7 games of the year? Love Stef but he could not get separation this year, especially in the latter half of the year when Joe Brady took over. KC smartly doubled Khalil instead in playoffs. Dorsey wanted to appease Diggs at the cost of the offense where Joe Brady just wanted to run the most efficient offense possible. Bills were NEVER trading for Deebo or Aiyuk or Higgins etc bc whoever trades for them needs to pay them and they cannot. Not to mention Shakir was the most efficient WR with the highest catch rate of anybody the 2nd half of the season. Kincaid set Bills rookie rec records, Knox back from injury, crazy efficient Shakir, Curtis Samuel will play a Deebo role, and Keon Coleman is a young 20/yo with similar combine numbers as Hopkins and Keenan Allen and room to grow

Life long 49er fan for the last 40 years but I have to tap in and say this! Yes Brandon Aiyuk is a solid wide receiver!
But he is not as good as Justin Jefferson or half the other wide receivers in this list of WR that are due to get paid!
With that said, I know Aiyuk believes he's the best WR in the league, and deserves to get paid as the BEST WR in the
league, but I don't think he should get anymore than about 22-25 million per year (AT MOST). Atleast as of right now!
I don't think he's proven enough that he deserves more. If he balls out this year and goes off for 1100-1500 receiving
yards and 10-15 touchdowns, then sure. But I can't help but feel like Brandon Aiyuk is one of those players that will
suddenly stop performing as soon as he gets the bag! There are so many athletes who fall off a cliff right after they
get paid and I can't help but feel like Brandon has that type of personality! Hopefully he proves me wrong! But there
are parts of Brandon's personality that remind me so much of Michael Crabtree. And like Aiyuk, in Crabtrees first 4
years in the league under his rookie contract, he had a couple good years, and a couple bad years, but still Crabtree
demanded BIG TIME MONEY as though he thought of himself as the BEST WR in the league. And sure enough, we
ended up giving Michael Crabtree a huge bag. Immediately after giving Crabtree that bag he fell into mediocrity for
the rest of his career! A nobody! And I hate to say it, but I strongly feel that Brandon Aiyuk will do the same thing!
So much makes sense man, And I think having this expensive money for BA or Deebo is really a problem of solving its piece for who is which to be staying in SF. Depending on the salary we pay for.

Deebo is great but aiyuk is better fit for 9ers right now. Deebo would be more valuable on a team that didn’t have so many weapons at wr/te & a top RB.
