would be nice to have an update on zell am see now that they are fully integrated with kaprum and saalbach
My first holiday ever. A school ski trip when I was 11, it never left my heart.
Its the trees man. Nothing quite like it!
Best resort ever been going here since I was 4
spent a week skiing there decades ago, was magical
It was a short video from a great place. I love Zell am See and when you think value for money it’s a 10 ⛷💪🇦🇹
it is the most scenic resort in Austria for sure
Was here during the extreme weather this year, when i look at it now it looks way more beautiful!
Gorgeous! That opening animation is really cool too
Going there tomorrow! Can’t wait!!
Great scenes, Very explanatory!
it's so close to Salzburg airport, on the way home salzberg was closed due to fog, we had to bus to Munich! it was a mission!

Im going with my school in april.. im one of the lucky few who got in !! Very excited .
Caramel.Mocha.x I went when I was at school at 12. One of the best experiences ever. Make sure you put in the effort to be good enough to get on the big slopes after the 1st day evaluation on the small school slope. I made it but others had to stay on the baby slope for 2-3 days. Wasted.
Going to the top and skiing non stop following the instructor takes about 30-45 mins which is a long time non stop skiing full pelt (at our level). Easy, just intermediate and hard (black) was a scary and humbling experience. Had to just sit down and go down with our skis sideways. It’s like being on the edge of a precipitous drop.
No wonder they go 70mph+. But the sensation of speed is incredible. Fastest I got to was 35-maybe 40mph. That’s insane on skis. Feels like 700mph. Couldn’t do it now. I was young, athletic and lacked much fear (until the black slope. A very good adult skier told us we could have killed ourselves on it with it being first time on snow and only 1 per week Rossendale ski centre which is short and not steep.
Gave me respect for the skiers at the Olympics. You just can’t tell how steep those slopes are on Television. You have to experience it to believe it...Enjoy.
@@Dude0000 I have anxiety so they won't push me to be crazy. I'm in year 8 now and I'm very excited. We are going to Zell Am See in Austria. I'm definetly going to make the most of it.
Caramel.Mocha.x he instructor was great, give you real confidence. The first day is fitting etc and just on the junior slope learning the basics...snow plough, basically making a v with your skies to slow and stop, the turn by doing a v and turning left, lifting your left ski up and putting it next to your right ski which turns you left and slows you down. There’s plenty of snow so when you do these there’s plenty of grip. Just listen to the instructor, don’t be a hero showing off, but don’t be scared. The first time you fall gives you confidence as you just get full of snow in your face. It’s not that wet. Just cold. Just enjoy it and you’ll be telling people about it when you’re 40 (my age). I’ve traveled the world yet that trip is still in the top 3.
Do you mind reviewing Breuil-Cervinia and zermatt in one video since they are basically attached? If you want you can do two separate videos, I won’t mind :)
Just booked to go here after watching this video
Have fun there! you will also ski in SkiCircus and Kaprun(maiskogel and Kitzsteinhorn are now connected)😘⛷
@@SkiResortsVideo yeah some friends went to saalbach and it looked good so I’m looking forward to getting some lines in there, also the kitsteinhorn glacier for the freestyle park
My family and I have been going to this resort for years after we went for a friends wedding. It is a lovely setting, so family friendly. I would like to know how you score the kitzteinhorn as that is a completely different animal compared to the schmittenhohe in which you based your scores.
@@SkiResortsVideo we like to spend a few days in each Area to vary the riding. The kitzteinhorn has loads of powder so is great fun for some free riding. I definitely recommenda day up there if you get chance to go back.
It would be awesome if you could go to Kitzbuhel, they say it's the best ski resort in the world
Would you be able to do Tignes?
Went in the half term for a week
How would you rate the whole area, including the 2 kaprun resorts?
No, only Schmitten and Zell am see
Looks like something out of a fairytale
What is the snow conditions usually like the last week in March in Zell am See?
on Zell am See the snow could be problematic but you have the Glacier in Kaprun.10 minutes skibus from Zell am See, on the same skipass
Thanks @@SkiResortsVideo
Doesn't the ski pass include saalbach-hinterglemm too
Tommy Dams No, that will be to expensive.
Yes the Apin ski pass covers Zell am See/Kaprun and Saalbach/Hinterglemm 408 kms of pistes. I think the Super Salzburg ski pass covers Kitzbuhel too
@@pauljosephhealy Your right, i placed my firsr reaction before i was skiing. Everything is now diffirent.0
I can't find a direct train from Munich airport to Zell Am See.
It says I have to change train 2-3 times 😔
Yes, I was going to ask the same question. Any takers???
@@normanlaw8191 I did it in the end. It was easy 😏.
On the way there, I only had about 10-20sec to change train, due to delays. 😱
On the way back, there was a massive delay. But luckily I left out 3 hrs earlier than necessary.
Overall I wouldn't recommend the resort if you are a strong intermediate. It's tiny! 🥺 But it looks very nice.
Going to Saalbach wasn't really an option at the time, but it is now. I went to the glacier instead.
All in all, I wish I'd had the guts to catch the train (and bus) to Saas Fee or Laax instead. But Zell am See was the easier option.
@@1Flyingfist We did go to Zell am See simply because of this video back in Jan 2020. The 6 of us got a Private Taxi transfer via Booking.com from Munich airport, and it was effortless. Zell am See is small but it is pretty, and with the Alpin pass, we did Saalbach and Kaprun also. Have to say one of the best skiing holiday I had.
cameraman needs to dial down the blue
One things is not mentioned in this video, in Zell am See there are full of Arabs in sommer, even in winter you can also see many of them, that I have never seen in other Alps villages...
So?
Morzine is full of English people FTS! 😂 ...and I'm from England 🙈
Come to mention it, why would you have expected the video to say something like that? 🙄🤔🤨
“Zem al see, Arab rating -10/10”
