Dude, “Rollin’” was literally THE feature that made this ride much more enjoyable than the average rider or thoosie ever gave it credit for. I could see Fred Durst making licensing of the song far more expensive as a bit of a cash grab. But the lack of care in even trying to sync the right parts of songs together is a good indication that this ride isn’t long for this world.
Made my mother ride this with my last year. She picked "I Will Survive" as her song choice because the vertical lift scared the living daylights out of her lol. Its a real shame about the gutted song choices, considering that was one of the best parts of the ride imo

I’m still salty about them taking off harder better faster stronger as a casualty of removing stronger by Kanye west (which used samples from it). And this happened before they went and gutted the rest of the track list. I get why they wanted to take Kanye off since he got way too problematic, but what did daft punk ever do to deserve that disrespect😤

7:27, no, actually I played Darude - Sandstorm and it was AMAZING! It was perfectly synced so the song drop lined up with the first drop, highly reccommend
I did free bird on both my rides and both times the riff started as it started cresting the lift.
Code 707, Know Your Enemy by Rage Against The Machine, also syncs up with the first drop
Also, Waterloo and WTTBP also sync really well, aswell as secret songs such as Lose yourself (306) and i want you back (302)

My first ride on Rockit was at the end of March, and my song selection screen didn’t work at all lol. Was just a blank, unresponsive screen so then I just got a random song I didn’t like. Quality experience 😂

Crazy that they chose to get rid of Rollin now of all times. In the past 5 or so years a bunch of bands from the late 90s and early 2000s that went through a period of being "cringe" have started to become considered ironically cool. I feel like there are as many if not more people who would be interested in listening to Rollin today then at any other time since the ride first opened.
Universal missing an opportunity by not having Lamb of God available on RRR.
We were dangerously close to getting a Limp Bizkit themed coaster

I rode Rockit in the front back in 2011 and damn it was quite a ride. Hope I can go back to Orlando to experience it one last time

I've been working on a Heavy Metal theme park in Planet Coaster. Ruin has been my favorite Lamb of God song forever, so I knew it had to have its own ride in the park. I was super hyped when I first started watching your channel that you used it for headbanging, so naturally I had to think of a coaster model popular in the late '00s to early '10s that had headbanging potential. I ended up going with a Giant Inverted Boomerang, but your Rip Ride Rockit vid inspired me to throw in a non-inverting loop in its layout instead of a standard one. 🤘
Honestly the front row on rocket is not bad at all. Pretty smooth and good air time

100% agree on the music missing, i used "Rollin" as my ride choice as well and my last ride didnt really jive. I feel like its now missing a big part of its appeal, if they are gonna keep the single songs they need to queue the correct spots that fit the ride.

I didn’t know you had a kid, but wow, I bet you can’t wait for her to be old enough to ride the big ones with you. I live in Orlando and my cousin was just visiting with her 4 year-old, and we took her to Disney to do ALL the princess stuff. They didn’t drag dad along this time, but when she’s big enough for the coasters at universal (she already loves rides), he’s definitely going to be the one leading the way. I was terrified of rollercoasters as a kid, so it always amazes me to see the children of coaster heads having the time of their lives like it’s nothing!

i'm glad i finally got my courage up to do that ride last year. i think i was told to ask for row 3 since i was a little larger last year, and i felt the ride was pretty smooth overall. did they gut t he secret song menu too? on my 1 and only ride i picked running down a dream by tom petty.

Be careful with the velocicoasters standby line, it might be just as slow or even slower than the regular line

That Rollin song is the one I choose EVERY time. I know people dog RRR but its one of my favorites in the whole country. I've ridden all sorta of insanity, but it's just so dang fun! And then theres Velocicoaster over at Islands. No words, just total respect and love.

I picked Blue Man Group secret songs on this ride back in September. I think I might pick I'm A Fool next (secret song 110), Your Attitude Towards Cuttlefish (903) or Night On Bald Mountain (904).

Da Rude Sand Storm is a good option. Rollin was by far the best, but look up the secret menu for your next trip. Tons of fun stuff on it

I had 3 ride on Rocket in May ‘23. The first wasn’t good but the next 2 were very smooth and very forceful. Will ride this more.
As far as I am aware, there is a secret song list for Rockit that you can find on line and put a code while on the ride. This list is very long

I have a feeling with most of the songs removed. That may be a sign that Rip Ride Rockit's days may be numbered. Especially hearing the rumors about the ride closing.

depends on the kind of rough to me. predator is a beast, but i dont mind its beating. the jolting jiggling bouncy jump of gatekeeper though ill never forget. thing gave me the fattest headache.

I personally think HRRR is just alright, the things I like about it are the music, non inverting loop, & the DVD you can purchase when you get off even though its overpriced at $30. I do miss all the old songs like Rollin', Harder Better Faster Stronger, Busy Child, Pump It, Kickstart My Heart, Stronger, Bring Me to Life, Born to be Wild, & Keep Hope Alive.
