ETH takes Garnacho off instead of Rashford when Utd are 3 nil up, then within 20mins it’s 3-3, then Rashford does what he always does after dropping another consistent stinker, pretends to be injured. SELL HIM

That penalty from casmerio to me was basically him saying I don’t want to be at this club anymore. Honestly this guy has played for Madrid and takes a pen like that?! Honestly that’s as good as a resignation letter

United may have experience on the pitch. United may have passion on the pitch. But United have had NO leadership on the pitch since Martinez went down…and he can only lead from the back.

There's a very long list of 1st div/EPL teams knocked out at this stage by sides at 2nd div/Championship and lower. Look over the squad for this game and seriously try to say this was not a banana skin with a loss written all over it.
If you are not happy with ETH, you can point to persisting with an approach that a number of players are clearly not able or willing to implement (and there is an approach and it is a tweak on Ajax but it needs players in midfield - which can include defenders- to be a lot more mobile, decisive and able to read the movements up ahead of them), you can point to results this season and you can argue that he has played his part in some of the off field issues. But all the 'he's a fraud', 'he can't coach', 'he's out of his depth' stuff is just sport as a form of retarded psychotherapy.
I am of the view that the last thing the club needs is yet another managerial turnover, yet another example of the players stay and the coach gets booted, yet another bout of a new coach bringing in their players to make the squad even more incoherent. Do you break the cycle by continuing it, or do you break the cycle by sticking it out and taking some punishment and doing what it took Ferguson 6 years to do, in simpler times?
I don't think many people, including me, could say they have enjoyed much of this season. However, I also think that there is plenty of evidence that this is the coach who can drive significant change. The argument he is out of his depth ignores the fact that he has a trophy in his first season, along with a top 3 finish and an FA Cup Final; he has a better win ratio in his first 100 games than Ferguson, Klopp, Pepp etc. He has still dragged this unbalanced squad into a second FA Cup final. He has led the side to a record of 1 loss in 5 games v Liverpool and 2 wins and a draw this season v them.
Also, look at the off field rubbish he has had to deal with - a dressing room that was horribly divided in 2022; Ronaldo and Sancho; that little 'the club is for sale' thing that was going to be over in about 3 months and that took over 12 months; the inability to offload many of the core players that led to Rangnik saying the club needed major surgery. And if you don't think injury is an excuse, have a look at the match day squad and seriously say injury has not been an issue.
I don't think ETH was brought in to be a pragmatist and do what he did last season, paper over the problems and potter about in the group of quality sides a level below Liverpool and City. He was brought in to be part of a major change. We are seeing some good signs in the admin area. The coach has pulled back the bandaid - some players look capable of taking the step and some don't. Dalot has improved, Kambwala, Garnacho and Mainoo look to be able to be part of the future, as do Hojlund and Onana- just have the fortitude and staying power to take it as the wound is cleaned. There will be good players who have to go, not because they are duds, or 'deadwood' or any of that other rubbish but because they don't have the right technical/physical or mental qualities for what is to come. Stay the course or else repeat the cycle of Moyes-LVG-Mourinho- Ollie-Rangnick.

Only an ETH Utd team could win a semi final and have it feel like a defeat. He's a shite manager plain and simple. Theres literally no progress being made at all. Rashford purple patch season papered over huge gaping cracks. Sack him in the morning. We wont win the final anyway. Put a caretaker in charge in the hope we could get a mini bounce.

The same lot that can only play counter attacking football, don't have any sort of mentality to win, and steal wages on a weekly basis?
Seen this happen under multiple managers already. You can't turn a turn into gold, no matter what scrubbing solution you use. Get it through your head. Ten Hag is attempting to turn a turd into gold, all while working with Arnold and Murtough and crap backroom staff in training.
Judge him when he actually has a footballing structure. If he fails then, he'll be found out.
Until then, the lot of Rashford, Bruno, Maguire, Shaw, AWB and whoever was there under Ole need to go. Get rid of the rot before it infects Mainoo, Garnacho and Rasmus.
Ten Hag is hardly the main problem.
