Glad I found this channel, you make excellent videos. Can you measure TS parameters with the Clio? I recognized that little Bose woofer on the table since I have one in my garage, I'd love to measure it and figure out what kind of box it needs.
Good eye! Yes that is a Bose subwoofer diver I salvaged out of an old Bose system. And yes Clio Pocket can measure TS parameters, although I have never tried it. That's a good idea for a video though. Thanks for watching!
I agree that price for speakers is too high i built subwoofer for less than $100 and i couldn't find any in that price range that comes even close to it.
I built a downfiring ported subwoofer with a GRS 8" from parts express and I have it tuned to 38hz. With that same amp module it more than fills a 9x10' room listening to music or movies. I'm using some left and right speakers repurposed from an old home theater in a box set.
Could you please suggest if finish is necessary for left/right speaker cabs? I want to keep the looks of wood patterns and the feel of wood texture. I don't have access to linseed/tung/danish oils.
I've been powering that exact amp module with an old 19.2 v 90w laptop power supply for a year and it works better than anything else I've found.
