      @@tjtube65 NOT CORRECT. He dropped Jazz and said Soul Music better represented the 'Black nation/cause/situation.' You are too young to know what all went on with him. He's was also somewhat racist and a misogynist a lot of times.

      Baraka was one of America’s greatest poets and was far from a racist but was a FREEDOM FIGHTER In poetry, drama, essay and political thought who never turned his back on Jazz, Blues or any of The Music that originated from Black folks. You have no proof of this at all.
