We need More countries to perform In their own native language In eurovision
The rules should oblige countries to send songs in their own language at least once every three years.
Efectivamente. Introducir ciertas palabras o versos en otros idiomas diferentes del idioma propio es bonito pero cantar toda la canción (o la mayor parte) en inglés, además un año tras otro, es absurdo.

They are the same in a 50-60% in matter of sounds, letters, and vocabulary but then each one has some differences from the other!

Eurovision needs subtitles.
This means people can sing in native languages without meaning being lost to the English-speaking audience.
They can be added in locally on top of the main broadcast in the broadcast language
The BBC does make an effort to provide subtitles but sometimes they don't come through at appropriate times and/or miss multiple lines. It would be nice if this was more universal.
Edit: also, I'm yet to see subtitles in the language the song is actually sung in (maybe they've done it for like French and I missed it) but makes an attempt at providing English translations instead.
In Finland, we already have the songs subtitled :D But Finland has a strong subtitling culture, adults' programmes are pretty much never dubbed, except for some documentaries with a background narrator. I think at least Estonia does subtitles in Eurovision already as well?
SBS, Australia’s broadcaster, lacks subtitles for the live broadcast, but has it for the prime-time broadcast.
I've gotten so used to the subtitles that I often forget that others don't have it.(I'm a Finn) It is so wonderful to understand the messages of the songs. Even our national selection this year was translated into Finnish sign language.(for the first time though)

They sent Maltese songs twice and got last place both times. I guess that's why they switched to English. I wish they would try it again though.
@@ethanwalles1521 maybe its bout song not a language. Maltese is pretty nice to hear.
As far l remember they always some generic pop songs on english nice to hear on radio while driving but forget about soon after.
I wonder what that one English word is in the Italian song. I don't think I've catched it yet 😅
Hangover
Georgia's is 100% in gibberish 😂
2:56 im not sure bejba and kresja are in english but sure
finland's song doesn't have spanish, Piña colada is the finnish translation for Piña colada. so you should replace finland's spanish with english instead because he said "yeah" multiple times in the song.
So sad that so many Singers choose English😢
Until 1964, each country had to perform in their own language. Sweden was the first country to send an entry in English (Absent Friend) in 1965. Today, most countries dropped the language restriction. One of the few countries who didn't, is France.
France sent a completely English entry in 2020
Sad
@@blauerose8641 Not sad, necessary. The language barrier was a big disadvantage for countries with less common languages.
@@vincentstef5708 No, they didn't. In 2020, they sent the song Mon Alliée, which is only partially English.
Germany dropped the rule that the songs must be 100 % in German around 2000, and in 2002, they had their first song completely in English, “I Can't Live Without Music”.
Austria 1963 and Finland 1964 would let you to disagree and language rules was actually started to apply in 1966 following of swedish entry on the previous year, it was suspended by 1973 which would lead to ABBA's Mainstream success, until 1977 when the rules became on effect again until 1998, also, french entry in 2008 was entirely english.
I want to know what the 0.3% English in due vite was now
And the italian and latin in Queen of the Kings
The 0.3% is a single English word (“hangover”), because we have the translation in Italian but we use the English word some times + in the songs it just sounds better
