Me and a good friend made about 6 winter excursions. One up near Betsy Lake, N. of Tahquamenon R, (showshoed out one day and the guy at the MI DOT garage on M-123 said it hit -20degF the night before - we had good sleeping bags, of course - but it was still cold 😎). Five or six other trips too. Back in the early 80's. I'm too old for that now but... those were the days. Excellent video. Thank you for sharing. Brings back memories. I think I watched your 2-Heart canoe trip video too a few months back. Great stuff!!
Great video! Make look easy but winter camping is far from it,you got to be prepared like you were and have the knowledge. Winter is close and can't wait to enjoy it! Keep up with the great videos !

This was my first year of winter camping. I really enjoyed it. Being able to camp all year really lifts the spirits.
Great video. Your demonstrated thoughtful processes of gently caring for your tent during setup and take down as well as storing important (not to be frozen) gear inside your sleeping bag are a valuable guide to all cold weather campers.

Yes Audy, sadly the snow has gone early this year. I was out camping last weekend and signs of spring were everywhere.
@@HermitsOutdoorAdventures I'm anxiously hoping for the springtime camping video. Spring has arrived in northern Kentucky also. Folk here are very proud to have survived the horrible/terrible/harsh winter that lasted 10 whole days. Giggling as I grew up in Michigan.
