I've been a biblical skeptic at from the age of 12 many years ago and I get a real chuckle out of this. Most the modern world is not compatible with bronze age beliefs.

It’s true that most aetheists were former hard line evangelicals. I converted because I see no evidence of God answering the 24/7/365 prayers directed at him/it....so there is zero reason to think if god is there that he/it actually cares to correct evil....and doing it in the "sweet by and by", or destroying the entire earth a 2nd time with fire is simply not “intelligent” nor a “design”....Now let the “God works in mysterious ways, his ways are above our ways and can do whatever he wants” crowd come to gods defense right.....but if they are honest they must admit that evil appears too big a task for god.....?

The argument from creatures that can do astronomy is so weird. If a god had that as a purpose, wouldn't it design an atmosphere that was easier to see through, a creature with better eyes, and probably locate the planet in a more diverse section of the universe?

Stone chips can be created by anthropogenic and non-anthropogenic natural processes; e.g., through making stone tools and through weathering, respectively. What allows an anthropologist to confidently claim some stone chips were created through a design process, as opposed to a geologist claiming other stone chips were created through a natural process devoid of any design? I'm not aware of any formalization as to how such a differentiation is made.
He makes a very important point in the Q&A: anti intellectualism is becoming a virtue.

That's not a good refutation. As I understand it irreducible complexity means that you can remove any part at all and the thing stops working as intended. So if a car/pickup is intended to do the function of 'driving' then you can remove the car radio and it still drives. You can remove a whole lot of things and it still functions as a pickup. So it can be seen as not being irreducibly complex, it is instead 'reducibly' complex.
Am not a religious nutjob by the way, ID is stupid, irreducible complexity is not a concept with any useful application at all, it is all baffling bullshit and noisome nonsense but it has to be refuted on its own terms and not by some other definition. Luckily that's not hard.
Note you can make the pick up irreducibly complex by adding qualifying statements to its purpose. If its function is to drive while having the option of listening to the radio now you cannot remove the radio. You can go through a car item by item and demand it is core to the intended function and now the same thing which wasn't irreducibly complex has to be. Contradiction. Game over.

@@arthurskay4744 @Arthur Skay I am an alcoholic, no booze since 2013. I gave up drinking by not drinking and god had no role in that. It was a faithless experience where the only way forward for me was to have two months of terrible cravings and awful mood swings, withdrawals and so on. Why didn't I need faith in god to be healed? Because that's not a precondition for being well but giving up booze definitely was a precondition for being well.

These arent proofs of anything, non believers go into remission of all kinds of illness all the time. People from all religions have the same "proofs" of life changing experiences and " feelings" including giving up addictions. Its psychology. Believing in something to give you strength does work as a placebo.

The DNA from the sperm determines the sex so long as development matches the chromosome.
All of us develope the same features which differentiate when hormones affect them , the hormones are usually triggered by what type of sex chromosome came from the sperm.

So why would an intelligent designer create misguided scientists? Your same argument was said to Galileo and others when they proved the Earth revolved around the sun. The Christian Inquisition called it absurd and against Holy Scripture. The Holy Scripture is wrong and has been proven wrong in almost every case now. Scientists should come at it with a sledge hammer because it has been proven affirmatively wrong and all the counter arguments are so fallacious they undermine human intelligence.
