See, I like Black Forest, because the games last long enough and have enough gold to see the unique civ-defining traits that don't show otherwise. Japanese towers are one of the only civs where towers are clearly better than castles stone-for-stone, but the game would never last long enough to see that in an Arabia game.
Exactly why black forest is so awesome! Handfuls of feudal archers, skirms, and scouts dinking around just isn't that interesting, honestly.
Legend has it that Viper's monk is still holding that relic to this day. GG.
All this BF content is great. You used to rip on BF all the time and now you're working on being a pro. ;) I like the change of heart.

Considering the enormous eco they afforded, the towers did very well. It did not seem like it but every time the paladins were run in underneath them, the towers were killing atleast 1 pala worth of hp with every volley.
I think near the end a group of Pala dived to take down the trebs under protection of 5(?) Keeps, they don't last more than 20 seconds. They actually do extremely well, it's like half castle dps but cost 1/5
Somethimes i realize that the viper is just having fun and dont give a shit for the results hahah

Can you play more 1v1 as Japanese. I never see Japanese win everytime I look up videos of people playing as Japanese 😭 I love the civ but am losing confidence even though I suck
they have good archers, a M@A rush into feudal archers is good.
solid castle age knights and CA, but if you already had archers you probably wanna just go for crossbows and eventually arbalests
unfortunately samurai just isnt as strong of a unit but it's always on the table for their late game
you can probably also pull a 16 pop scout rush due to saving wood if you get a very tight build order
