  • I'm teaming up with Nathan from ‪@XploringOz‬ to tackle one of WA's most remote and history-rich 4WD tracks, the Holland Track in the Goldfields region! This epic track was cut by John Holland back in 1893 to provide a significantly faster route for those hoping to get lucky during the gold rush period, to make their way from Albany to Coolgardie. Today this track is maintained by the Toyota Landcruiser Club of WA who does an amazing job at keeping it clear and open for people like Nathan and I to explore - definitely something to be appreciated.

    Can relate to running tubs in a new canopy 😅 You think you'd be disappointed to be doing it, but you're too busy being stoked about the new toys instead haha! Looks like a ripper trip so far fellas, looking forward to the next part of the adventure!

    Great Video Guys. The Holland Track looks interesting. Shame about the fires going through. Hopefully, it grows back. A couple of new cooking ideas to try out also. Subscribed to Nathan's as well.

      Hey mate, thanks for the sub.
      To be honest, the fires appear to be a routine and regulated burn off out this way. Didn’t realise they did these this far out, but so be it. It’s good to know it’s all in hand though 👍

    Great trip and I'm really enjoying being back on the road with you. Shout out to Nathan who may not know it but he's greatly assisted me with his set up tips for the type of off road van I have.
    I'm going to try those delicious looking pizza sandwiches - without the pineapple!
    Yellow lid boxes are my custom set up :)

    I picked up some transparent perspex box trays from Bunnings that fit in my Bushman fridge. They’re also a good size to hold cans of beers, either upright or lying down. I keep enough in the fridge for a day and replenish them with warm ones before bed. No spillages yet!

    Trick with those yellow top lids to keep them closed.
    I drilled a small hole in the edge and use a small d shackle to hold it shut.
    Had my tub bouncing on tray of my old ute, never had it comes undone.

    Glass bottle beers, rookie mistake!
    Cans and/or stubbie holders on each can help protect them.

    • @explorebound
      @explorebound  Před 2 měsíci

      Haha yep is certainly was!! I was working on the kitchen build right up until I left so was stuck with what I had in the fridge unfortuntely which were the glass bottles. 😬

  • @aTissa
    @aTissa Před 2 měsíci

    Great video as usual! 👍
    Taking cans of beer is the way to go, takes a little getting used to, not the same taste as glass bottles in my opinion, but great to crush minimising rubbish when out in the bush!

    • @explorebound
      @explorebound  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Thanks mate!! Yep definitely agree, normally I do take cans but was building the kitchen right up until I left home was stuck with what I had in my home fridge for the trip 😬

  • @brick4x48

    A carton of cans fit on the bottom shelf, so you can have a hole weeks worth 🙂

      So true, normally I'm the same but was working on the kitchen build until about 30 mins before I left for the trip so was stuck with what I had in the fridge at home 😅

    • @explorebound
