Sadly, they're not gonna add her any time soon because they would need to get marketing rights from Anne Hathaway. :(

Anna dad also appears to be writing the letter to her while fishing. When Mia accidentally sets the man's arm on fire, the flames were supposed to go out when he puts his arm in the ice bucket, but they didn't. Anne Hathaway panicked and threw the glass of water on it, which was not scripted.

This is actually not Anne Hathaway's first movie. It's her first Hollywood movie, but not her first one period. Her first film is an independent movie called "The Other Side Of Heaven." it's a good movie, and I suggest that, you all go check it out!

I don't care what anyone says, I love both films and I adore Anne.
2:29 they showed Lara San Giacoma instead of Kathleen Marshall who played the queen's assistant who also played the desk clerk in Pretty Woman.

You know what's funny? I was recently re-reading this series, and in the fourth book, "Princess in Waiting" Mia mentions a movie being made about her life and she laughs about it, saying how unrealistic it is, mainly because her grandmother seems so nice and Lilly complains about looking unsupportive in it. Mia even explains why Tina isn't in the movie, being that her father wouldn't let her.
I think that was the author inputting her two cents.

I also learned that Christy Carlson Romano wanted to audition for Princess Diaries, but could't make it because she was busy with "Even Stevens".
I was surprised to learn from this that the picture of Mia's father was actually Anne's father. But the voice over of the father while writing the letter is actually Rene Auberjonois, who was also the voice of the Louis the Chef in The Little Mermaid. And yes, he confirmed this for me when I met him at a science convention in Ohio. Rene starred in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as Constable Odo, the shapeshifter.

Personally, it always pains me to deal with certain movies that are not entirely based on any original source material, like a novel, for instance. After all, whenever I see a movie based on a novel, I had to find out whether they are either connected or not. I also remembered reading Richard Bachman's original novel of "The Running Man," and then I saw the 1987 movie version, which left me disappointed. So I now understand why some authors don't always trust Hollywood movie or TV adaptations of their work.
It's one of the few cases where I like the movie better than the book.
@Patrick Nugroho Hadiwinoto less bad, exactly, and more, a completely different story. The grandmother is the movie is classy, and ultimatly kind and loving. The book version is neither. Most characters have little to do with their book versions, Mia included.

Man i am a grown woman who is 34 an I love this movie. Thank god i got 2 kids. 1 is a 14yr old daughter. I told her that someday she can be a princess. She didnt believe me till Megan married Harry. She now does believe me. Lol But this teaches kids that yes they can become a real life princess.
As a proud fan of both "Princess Diaries" movies and a longtime admirer of Dame Julie Andrews, I knew about all of these pretty much, except the one about Liv Tyler. I think that's pretty good, don't you think?

love this movie however in one scene when they were going out for they're tea in the garden they talk about nicknames where clarisse mentions that she didn't have one and mia had one that's a uncut scene that didn't happen in the movie do remember that though

Princess Diaries was not Anne Hathaway's first movie part. Before it, she made a film called The Other Side of Heaven. Producers of that one delayed its release to capitalize on Hathaway's PD fame, but it was shot first.

Many members of the crew have confirmed the release of The Princess Diaries 3 movie time-to-time. However, after the death of Garry, everything stopped. Noting that there was also a pandemic in between, we can say The Princess Diaries will be released by the end of 2022.
I like #1 best, but I think Anne Hathaway has awesome onscreen chemistry with Chris Pine in #2 better than Michael in #1 🤷🏼♀️

It's ironic that this video mentions that the author behind the princess diaries and Julia Roberts as well as the original Mary popens bc the author behind behind the story was distraught by the final product of the original film and the New film was a way for Disney to misinform or hide their mistakes.

My Bubbie took me to this movie when I was 7 and fell in love with it and she said it was a cute movie. Years later I found out she told my dad she'll kill him if she ever has to take me to a movie like this again hahahha. I was heartbroken lol.
