I was surprised with how many Boston fans there were in the arena. I was born and raised in Denver and I’ve never seen so many opposing fans at a game. Seems like more people are moving over here 😓

Most people are in the city for business trips and they come to the games of their home team. It does suck tbh cuz You want to feel like it’s mostly your fans there.
It's always been this way whenever boston has came to town. There's usually like 40-50% of the crowd is a Boston fan. It's even worse when the red soxs come to town 😂 like 99% Sox fans and maybe 1% rockies fans if they are even lucky 😂

Celtics are just one of those teams that have been consistently good for long enough that they have bandwagon fans literally everywhere. Same with Lakers, Yankees, Tom Brady Patriots, Mahomes Chiefs, etc.

Post season Tatum seems to do a lot better in the clutch.
In the past three seasons Tatum has like an average of a 57.4 efg% in the clutch on 27 attempts. The past 3 regular seasons and the current one is around 40 efg% in the clutch on 281 attempts
With the 1 seed stuff, the nuggets also have the easiest schedule of the 4 western conference contenders over the 20 games

Just a heads up, as a Celtics fan, if this is the finals match up then I’m afraid. I fear two teams in the entire nba, Nuggets and Clippers. If either is rolling and healthy we’re in for trouble. Assuming everyone on both sides is healthy a finals against either team could go to 7 or be a sweep that’s won by a handful of points

Kenny wrong about the celtics clutch time vs denver. It wasnt bad at all they took good threes except kp. tatum messed up the fast break and he got the ball back with a open corner three and missed and the nuggets scored and atp celtics needed a three in order to still have a chance. It was the clutch time defense that wasnt the best

I wouldn't really call Denver getting the number one seed a big struggle. It certainly not a given but there are two teams a game or less ahead of them and one of them just lost an All-Star. That means it's probably a two team race with a half-game separating them. I don't know how the schedule looks for OKC and Denver but Denver should be able to get the one if they're really committed to it.
They most likely will. Nuggets have an easy schedule while OKC has several high seeded team before the playoffs

I think a lot of it comes down to teams taking on the quality’s of their best player. Jokic is a generational cool headed decision maker and is never in a rush. That’s why it feels like they always make the right play/shot.

As a Celtics fan, these last two games give great advice for beating the Celtics. Let Tatum destroy the team himself with hero ball and abysmal clutch time stats. If they give up on team basketball in the 4th, it's an L; if a coach can use common sense to outsmart Mazzula, they win. If C's feel like the win is in the bag, they're susceptible to a big run Joe will just shrug at. Tatum's 3 point shooting sucks--if he shoots several 3s in the 4th, that's great defense. Celtics are the best team in the league against mid and bad opponents. Tatum is a superstar against teams like the Spurs, Wizards, or Nets, but a ghost against any team with physicality, length, and solid wing defense. He's an "MVP candidate" who gets 32 with 12 FTs in 28 minutes against a bottomfeeding team, but 15 points on 25 shots, shooting 2/13 from 3, against a great team. He's a superstar who can't generate his own offense at will when the team needs it. His version of self-generated offense is a bricked sidestep 3 after dribbling for 10 seconds. He's the kind of superstar to proclaim himself the MVP and proceed to no-show in consecutive nationally televised games. He's the kind of superstar and MVP candidate who is 5th or 6th most clutch player on his own team. Tatum is not good enough to hang with a team like the Nuggets.
Call me a blind man, call me cynical, but I truly think the only team that can present a 7 game series challenge is the Boston Celtics. The Celtics played a horrible game (missed free throws, live ball turnovers, missing shots, not boxing out on the weak side), and they still had the chance to take the lead with 40 seconds left and steal this game.
But there’s no question-Denver is the defending champion, and they know who they are, and what they represent and they just go do it. Boston is still trying to figure it out how to win in clutch moments, and if there’s any moment to have a letdown, it’s right now because you’ll have the time and games to play in those clutch moments before the start of the playoffs.
That would be an easy NBA championship for the Nuggets if that is the case.

nuggets fan but i disagree. I think we have an advantage in coaching/preparations/adjustments and late-game execution, but boston also has the shooting ability to blow us out of the water in some games, and if we're fortunate enough to get back to the finals, it would mean we overcame a gauntlet meanwhile boston cruised against a .500 8th seed and the knicks/magic before a slightly challenging ecf, so we wouldn't have homecourt and would likely be at a rest disadvantage.
First game in a while where both teams and set of players played like they wanted it.
If this were the matchup you would think the Celtics might have to start horford, porzingis got killed by joker all game.

Given that the Boston Celtics had a poor performance from Jrue holiday and Jayson tatum, I did not expect the score to be so close. Had Jaylen Brown hit all of his free throws, Boston wins. That's what was wild - despite all the criticisms in Boston's game, that's how close it was

Free throws is not a case of scoring more points, but rather making the defense pay for getting aggressive. Boston didn't do that, and frankly I'm surprised you even made that comment in the first place - I would assume that anyone who knows ball knows that.
As to your second point, I still think that time will tell
You could easily say the same about the nuggets. As a team, they shot 19% from 3, making only 4 of them. Both teams had 11 wide open shots, and the celtics scored 15 points off of them. The nuggets only scored 6. The nuggets also didn't come into the game locked in on the defensive boards. As for individuals, Jamal had a mediocre game, AG played terrorist ball for 3 quarters, MPJ didn't do anything really. KCP was excellent defensively and neutral offensively. Over all this was maybe a B- for the nuggets, and that's heavily carried by their 4th quarter execution

Boston's season ended with that loss to the cavs. The team just looks defeated in the same way they did last season after they lost to golden state in December. I doubt they make it past the 2nd round and I would be surprised if Jayson Tatum was in a Celtics jersey next year.
