BUILD DAY 25 I used to run not anymore as I’ve had too many ankle sprains. This practice was very helpful and relaxing
Blessed Beloved Beauties! I have no idea how I missed this practice before Build Day - 25. I really enjoyed this session. I practiced at the park. The sun 🌞 shone on my cheek an ant 🐜 tried to join me. I politely brushed him away. Ah, the park coupled with yoga is energizing and refreshing. I'm inspired to return to my running 🏃🏿 routine. This week has been off, ugh work as usual, yet I will find my balance as running clears my mind from all troubles. I'm going to run after work tomorrow. How did everyone enjoy this session? I’m not a runner. I’ve tried it and I hate it. LOL I do, however, walk a TON at my job so this is amazing for that as well. Wishing you all a beautiful day. ❤

I've been having a rest today, I've got a busy weekend ahead of me, so today was technically my weekend. This practice was so nice, to bring some gentle breath, and movement back in to my body. I'm not really a runner, I like strength training more, but today I was contemplating going for a run. I saw this, started it and then really felt like going for the run. So I paused, ran, came back and finished it. Now I feel awesome. Thank you Adriene!
Lol. I’m the opposite. I love running, and occasionally strength train. I love all of her athlete specific workouts (e.g. yoga for swimmers, for dancers, etc). They always motivate me to try something new. After reading your comment, I may strength train again. Thanks for the motivation. 😊

Good thing I learning about running is most gains come from lots of slow runs so u recover from ur weight workouts whilst becoming a better runner. I haven't had that idea confirmed yet.
I have to say the title threw me because I am a walker not a runner. But I loved it. Really like the be kind to yourself.

I enjoyed this alternative Yoga For Runners practice. Some super yummy stretches, awesome Puppy Posture, one of my favourites, and some forearm plank core strengthening, all good, quite doable for this senior yogi 😊 see you tomorrow for Yoga For Loneliness, I am often 😶🙁 maybe it will help 🤔🧘🏼♀️🧘🏻♀️🙏💕

I started running almost 3 weeks ago and didn't realize how much tension I was holding in my hips and shins. Thank you Adriene for helping me get back to myself
I am not a runner, skater or swimmer but I did all those practices. They are all so good. I like to do something different on the mat everyday.
The yoga for surfers is great too! I don’t surf but the stretches feel amazing!

Went for a 7 mile walk last night and woke up to the worst pain. Definitely was a welcome to find this video.
Also want to add my thanks Adriene, like so many others. Been doing your yoga for runners and cyclists videos for several months and already noticed a huge difference in my running, no more hip pain and feel on top form. Training for a marathon so your videos will definitely be part of it. Thanks again 💓

yoga never ceases to amaze me. I've been practicing for over 15 years now but the last 2 years, I've transitioned into a different training regimen including at least two runs and two strength workouts and found it hard to get back on the mat and practice mindfulness and stillness. However, after two great runs over the weekend I found myself in a flunk and had terrible gut cramping and issues. I knew I pushed my body too hard. So after a full two days in a row of zero activity (that never happens to me now) which really dug into my self esteem, (I know it shouldn't and I should cherish my body and understand its capacities and limitations but that's still hard for me to put into practice) all I really wanted to do was to reconnect so I did this Runners yoga and Sunday's gut health yoga back to back and oh man, I did not see the time fly. My body feel brand new and relaxed. Like a breath of fresh air. Exactly what I needed. Thank you Adriene.

So much Bliss, so much Gratitude!!! Of course Yoga gives us great bodies, but the mental internalization is priceless!!!! Whenever I find a mental state of anger or frustration, I know it is time to get on the mat! Then it all melts away + I'm back to Bliss!!! Nama-fkn-ste!!!!!!!

Still here for BUILD April 2024 but shuffling the playlist depending how much (or how little) time I can carve out for myself. It's been a crazy week, a crazy month (how is it possible that April is almost over already?!?!), a crazy year. I am so exhausted but trying to keep my head above water. THANK YOU to Adriene, Benji & the whole team for making it easier to stay on track. Lots of hugs & love to the community! We got this, no matter how difficult life is.
My day 28 of Build. I LOVE THIS ONE!! I needed to stretch out my legs. Playing catch up as I have been unwell. ❤

I have been incorporating your "For runners" videos into my regular runs for a few months now, and not only has my time increased without increased effort, but also I feel more motivated on my runs and more joy after them. I have been doing your other videos throughout the week, just keeping my headphones in and listening to your guidance. I don't know if I've gained flexibility of body, but I've gained energy, enthusiasm and a more positive outlook, all things I cannot thank you enough for!

I am sorry to say, I find the yoga squat at an intermediate to advance level challenging. I have very tight ankles, knees and thigh muscles.
The music is superb!
Benji is not distracting her, and she is completely focused, then she says things that draw you into her yogic experience.
This is why she has 5 million Subscribers.
I am one of them, It is not just the hard work, but the charm and charisma that exudes from her, as she says the cutest things that make you laugh, and that further draws you into her world.

Honestly, didn't expect this to be sooo nice!!... Even though I don't run, this was great for the hips that tightened during a long day at work.
I'm not sure how to tell you how much you've changed my life. I've been doing yoga for years and it never stuck until I started my own business. I had to save money and give up my yoga membership and that is when I found you. My practice has grown exponentially since I started my home practice with you 2 years ago. My mind and body are in this complete state of health and I wanted to thank you for your contribution. You really make my day Adriene!
I cannot thank you enough. I have been running since January and recently came across a hip problem to which I went to a chiropractor. They explained that my gait/legs were about .25'' off and did some adjustments. While it helped for a few hours, it came back quickly. I trucked through running because I didn't want it to deter me from exercising. The stretch at minute 15 released all of the ache from my hip alignment being off. I have now been pain free for more than 24 hours. I had literally been trying everything for the last two weeks to alleviate this pain.
That 20 minutes went by fast! Really enjoyed this one.

I stopped running 3 weeks ago as my ankles were in absolute agony when I was running, no matter how much stretching I did before hand, so I gave this video and a 7 minute pre runners video a go, since then, I went for a short run today and not a single twinge of pain! Adriene you are amazing thank you ❤️
It's the end of a tough week mentally & physically...plus this heat has been tough but ice kept up with my yoga & workouts. My body needed that stretch! 🙏🏻

I rediscovered yoga and turned to running in 2016 when I was struggling with what seemed like insurmountable anxiety and depression. They've been my rocks ever since. Thank you for including this incredible practice in Shift, and for always emphasizing that both running and yoga are all about the mind and the breath - the body just follows.

I do this 3 times per week after my very short runs. Even though I know it backwards I still like to have Adrienne in the background chat away to me, making me breath correctly and think about my position. Love her yoga.
