I just love the twist that Dr. Wheelo is not actually evil and that he's completely helpless to stop Cochin's insane and ridiculous plans!
I'm usually not a fan of taking such a drastic departure from the canonical personalities of characters. But in the case of Dr. Wheelo, it was done so brilliantly that I can't dare conceive a single complaint.
Just to add context..Oolong saved the world from Pilaf (the first Dragon Ball Villain), Pilaf was about to wish for World Domination but Oolong wished just in time for panties saving the situation ahah (weird but still Oolong saved the stituation by doing so ahah).
Exactly, and it was because it was the first thing to pop into his head, as he didn't exactly have any time to think. But it should also be remembered that Oolong WAS a villain when they first met him. He was terrorizing a village and only stopped doing so and went along with the gang because he knew he stood no chance against them. So that first vision of his is likely a more accurate representation of what he really would've wished for, if he *had* time to think. :P
I always figured it was cause his underwear was chaffing since his exact phrasing was the world's most comfortable pair of underwear.

“Launch” was a woman from Dragonball that was part of the group. Basically she was a sweet and caring person who stayed at Roshi’s………..HOWEVER, whenever she sneezed she would switch to her other personality which was a very angry lady (kind of like angry Loona) and have some kind of weapon (Machine Gun, Assault Rifle, Uzi, etc.) and start shooting at them all.
Basically whenever she started to have that pre-sneeze breathes (ahh, aah, aaaahhh, choo) everyone would be terrified and try to stop her from sneezing. Also her hair changed colors based on which personality was active.

and if it hasn't already been stated in these comments, the reason Launch wasn't in DBZ is because the author of the original manga forgot she was a character. Confirmed by the man himself in an interview.
@@Kidus34 People kinda misinterpret that, but she wasn't on DBZ at first because he didn't knew how to add her to the story and that her joke kinda got tired. But he suggested fillers featuring her to the anime crew, which they did, including a sendoff scene during Goku vs Vegeta fight.

For the cold though. Antartica IS cold however it is also very dry. Dry cold does not "pierce" to the bone and is easier to be protected from. Humidity makes cold 1000% worst. Hence mountain peeks are often VERY cold from both altitude and humidity, colder than -60 where Antartica sits at on a regular basis.

Krillin mentions Launch when Dr Kochin starts shooting at him. Launch was Master Roshi's housekeeper in the OG Dragon Ball. She was sweat as could be until she goes super saiyan. JK, but seriously run for it when she turns blonde, as she normally starts firing her machine gun when she is like that. She has shot Krillin many times, but while it seems to hurt, it never draws blood. She disappeared in the gap between Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z.

Oolong did want to wish to take over the world an lead a pig revolution to do so. He told Gohan he wanted to wish for panties because he knew it would be a wish everyone else would expect him to make because he didn’t want anyone to know his actual wish. He could’ve said anything, but him saying panties is a reference to how he wished for panties, and thereby stopped Emperor Pilaf (‘Em-per-or Peel-Off) who was going to wish to be ruler of the earth.
I thought it was also a joke based on one dub, can't recall which one, which renamed him as Mao, because he apparently dressed like him.

Pinky and the Brain was originally part of Animaniacs before becoming its own show. Animaniacs was split into separate parts so it could be 10 min. of the Warners, 10 of Pinky Brain, and 10 of something else. They had alot of characters.
This is also my favorite of the Abridged movies. What I like most is how they made it almost completely different from the original/actual movie. Possibly strange question, why is there a censor/blur bar at 25:17?
Possibly an editing error, but also possibly for epilepsy protection for the beam struggle and flashing lights?

The whole 'kaioken times three and a half' thing is a reference to the nonsense timeline. Goku goes straight from learning the Kaioken technique, to fighting Vegeta, to the hospital, to Namek- so there is no point in time during which this movie could take place. In the movie, he actually uses kaioken x4 here and acts like it's a big deal, so this all must somehow occur after he is resurrected, but before his fight with Vegeta (as getting beaten to a pulp would mean he would have gotten a zenkai boost and been able to use a higher multiplier). The joke is them pretending that they need to care about proper escalation- in other words 'holding back' the times four until the Vegeta fight so people have something to lose their minds over, which is what a regular shonen anime would do.
For further context: The kaioken is a technique that doubles the user's power. It was created by King Kai for whom it is named after (it translates to 'World King Fist' or 'Fist of the King of Worlds'. Incidentally, King Kai's Japanese name, Kita no Kaio, translates to 'King of the North Worlds'). However, when Goku arrived for training on King Kai's planet, the technique was mostly theory as even King Kai himself couldn't use it without dying. This is because the technique requires essentially perfect control the entire time you use it- mess up, even for a moment, and you die in horrific agony. Even used successfully it places a monstrous amount of strain on the body. How monstrous? The red aura from the technique is actually Goku's blood leaking from his pores and evaporating into mist.
Furthermore, the Kaioken doesn't have an upper theoretical limit; you can just keep multiplying your power infinitely. But each doubling comes with an exponential increase in risk (and pain). When Goku used Kaioken x2 in the Saiyan arc, King Kai was losing his absolute shit. In the Frieza saga, he actually takes it to x20- but only for the very briefest of moments before he hits Frieza or to tank Frieza's own hits. So briefly that no one but Piccolo even realizes he's using the technique at all. At least, that's the way it happened canonically (in the manga and DB Kai), the original anime just used it to pad time.
As an aside, to put Frieza's power in perspective during this period, DBZA plays up Frieza's Dad, King Cold to be as strong as him, but he's not. He's not even close. He's way closer to Frieza than basically any other mortal or non-artificial being, but he's still not even enough to make Frieza use his final form- canonically speaking anyway. So the second strongest person in the universe during the Frieza fight (but before super saiyan) was undoubtedly Goku. According to the official materials, when measuring power levels (which are admittedly bullshit), Goku was 20% stronger than the next highest contender, Vegeta. That might not sound like a lot, but at these numbers we're talking a difference of 500,000 points, or 333.33(repeating) Raditz. Frieza, then was 20% stronger than Goku at that time... while using 3% of his power in his final form. When Goku used the Kaioken (times twenty), he only ever reached _half_ of Frieza's power. Comparing their base forms (Frieza's base form _is_ his final form, all those lower forms are him _containing_ his power) Frieza was 40,000% stronger than the next strongest individual in the universe.
All that, and Frieza never trained a day in his life. He was simply _born_ the strongest mortal being in the universe.
Not sure if this is the actual ball pit reference, but there was a poorly done convention one year where the organizers highlighted having a ball pit as part of the reason to come. It turned out to basically be a kiddy pool filled with balls. When one of the panels was cancelled, attendees were compensated with a free hour in the ball pit. Naturally it became a meme

@@TnT_F0X It seemed pretty clear to me really damn fast that he didn't care about power levels as a way of scaling character strength, given that nobody from Earth has a static power level and it didn't take long for the villains to follow suit.
Like the whole point of them was to say, "you can't assign a simple metric to gauge how strong a character is against another." When a key point of Dragon Ball is seeing how the apparent underdog gains victory.
Daizenshu and so many fans still obsessed with power level numbers seem to have missed the point 🤔
