You're welcome 🙏
Thanks for the video and advice, last year, I lived in the Jomtien area for 6 months and my monthly budget was $3K and that's with companionship with a regular Thai lady for 3x a week and not buying any LDs and barfines. In my early 50's now and back to work in CA. Will do this again, next year.
Thanks for sharing!
Retiring early while you can still enjoy it, is the smart move. A lot of people retire late and may have a couple years of healthy life.
That's why I chose to do it on this budget. The Rat Race was getting me down!
Thanks for sharing bits of your lives with us. Appreciate you both!
Real reality TV 😉
Great video mate, love your channel
Glad you enjoy it!
Love your channel, Chanya is adorable 😻😻😻
Love your support Shaman
Thank you for sharing this information
Hopefully it was helpful 👍
You guys are the best. I enjoy your content 👍😎
Thanks Chico
“Guys” the imperative word indeed…
Loving the vlogs enjoying life 🙏🙏👍
Life is meant to be enjoyable
i prefer to rent, have the freedom to move around between cities, my monthly spend was about 40-50k baht per month, much cheaper when I lived up north, don't drink, single guy
I didn't have an issue renting and it was my plan for many years. It is nice to have a place to call your own too and Chanya won that discussion 😉
We spend about 150k bt a month. We live a great life on about a 3rd of my total monthly income so I don’t worry much about money here. We actually save a lot and either just invest it or take really nice trips. We didn’t move here from the U.S. to save money. Just to be closer to my wife’s family for a while after her living in the U.S. with me for 11 years. I started planning my retirement at a young age so I’d never need to worry about it.
Nobody is asking for information about you. Get the picture.
Yeah I’m sure you did 🙄
150k baht a month. Jeez.. Live like a king on that
@BillonBass I'm guessing you started your long term goal earlier than me 👍
500 baht a day, do you go out or just look out the window😂😂😂😂
Good video
Glad you enjoyed it Jorgen. Did it give you any new insights?
When I first started living with my Mrs the term budget was extremely foreign, " have money now spend now" it's taken a while but now she is a great saver, I have a daughter at BKK uni her expenses run to 25000 baht per month, add 100000 per year for fees, as I'm still a FIFO my "entertainment" expenses are a little on the high side, but my projected budget once retirement hits is around the 100000 to 120000 per month hopefully decreasing once the daughter hits the work force 😂
I laugh at those videos saying you could live like a Thai on 15,000 baht each month
Nice good job , me and my GF live a comfortable life in a non tourist area on 40k a month its doable if on a budget but we all live to our means
I'd need to sacrifice some things to go that low!
@@ChanyaAndWazzaThailand yeah our rent is 3700 a month for a 2 bed townhouse that's 20k difference right there
The lifestyle you're able to live at that price is very good...
There are many in the West and in Aussie land that would take that option in a heartbeat IMO...
Thanks for the cost of living update
...That pizza looked AMAZING BTW...
Enjoy your weekend you two!
🙏🙏🙏
👍😎👍
It tasted just as good the next day!
I like Chang's 2 baht .. bracelet

I have a small question here, I will be moving permanently from Sweden to Pattaya, what is your opinion, will it be cheaper in the long run to buy a condo or to rent one? if you buy one in a very good area and fairly new building, is it difficult to sell it again? Do apartments go up in price over the years in Thailand or do they fall in price?
A few questions indeed and none I'm qualified to answer. Pattaya is well known for being a destination for foreigners and it does cater well for them. The city itself is not to my taste and I've never considered living there. I came to live in Thailand.
The simplest solution for a foreigner is a rental option. Don't buy until you've lived here for a couple of years. Real estate always goes up but you'll need boots on the ground to find the profitable deals. It is also well known that there is an oversupply of condo options in the major cities of Thailand and that includes Pattaya
Chanya is cool 😉
Yeah! Thankfully, she doesn't really know how cool she is from a westerner perspective!
Good info but I think I would also add 3 more things.... Health/accident Insurance....Transportation....Immigration/Visa. Maybe you have those in your living already?
I mentioned health and vehicle insurance along with visa. You must have missed those.
@@ChanyaAndWazzaThailand Doh Sorry missed it @13:30
Just two blokes enjoying lunch yes 80 000 is because you have a man your looking after most men can live on £700 per month and live good
Unlikely unless your living in Nakon nowhere eating street food soaked in palm oil. No insurances, no real travel and no real assets.
You really like his misses. It's OK bro. You can admit it. Your false masculine bravado about the third gender is fine. You just want a mum hug with a capital B. Lol
Hahaha!
Good one Wazza. Nice way to kill some time at the airport.
It's all entertainment
Been going to thaiand for the past 15 years 3 months to 6 months at a time find £700 a month very doable , if i was renting by the month lot cheeper
Everyone will have their own expectations Paul
That is around £500 more per month than my current basic lifestyle in a quiet UK village.
Or about the same as here if I was paying rent.
But im not living in a warm/tropical paradise, and you are.
I spent 3 years living in a quiet Scottish village when I was a teen and know how tranquil that can be. If only the white stuff would just go away in winter!
Can I stay with you guys when ever I visit to Thailand.
Hahaha! If only!
@@ChanyaAndWazzaThailand yeah only
As long as your 'content' - that is what is most important. Been looking for my '''ideal retirement destination''' past couple of years from the US - and seemingly found it. Many expats around the globe are satisfied in several countries - cause we are all different ?!? -- For me language was most important and I'm alone w/o a women to influence me in any particular direction. > Nice weather friendly English speaking locals and a low cost of living were my main criteria - preferably with a few like minded expats for some good company in the vicinity as well. -?- A frugal but comfortable place to allow me the freedom to travel - 'from' - and have some adventure exploring S E Asia and all it offers. I don't want a lot to require maintenance and care. Rather a hub offering affordable access to many other areas ! -- The travel Visa friendly Philippines won out - at least to begin with. Malaysia appears to offer an alternative with English speaking freedom loving locals. However there are more "requirements" than I would like. -?- My problem with Thailand (!) that and the language barrier. Cambodia offers more freedoms with their over 55 retirement visa + more Khmer people speak English - and they even take my USD ! - - - Just me I suppose - "we are all different" - looking and searching for different things ??? - - - As long as your "content".... ?
There are lots of options in Asia for those who want to exit the rat race 🙏
Hope it all works out for you. See so many older guys on youtube buying houses in Asia or giving their hard earned to the Gf or BF and family and then they start crying as it all goes wrong. Just be careful and wish you a long enjoyable relationship.
It's sound advice to consider a mortgage option.
That’s one hot bird you’ve got there!
😉👍
Im hoping my budget of 2500-3000 usd a month can see me thru the next 25 years. Not accounting for inflation of course..
Depends on outgoings but I have identified around $1700usd is very comfortable. So if double that. You are king.
Easy as
If you get Social Security from the US, that would pay for all necessities. Any savings or Investments you have would just be gravy.
@AG-so4gl It's more that mine and I'm guessing you're single so it should be a walk in the park 😉
U need $2,000 to $2,500 to live comfortably in Thailand!
Any below 2,000 is just ok !
Hi mate, how much for a massage in Thailand?
My local masseuse charges 400 baht for a one-hour oil massage. 👍
@ChanyaAndWazzaThailand What do they charge in the shops, and how much extra for nude with happy ending?
Like all businesses in Thailand, competition in the market place is fierce and localized so the price does vary. 250 baht is about the lowest price I've seen for a traditional Thai massage. Additional services quickly raise those prices over 1000 baht.
5000 baht for electricity? You must live in a mansion! I would check if one of the neighbours is stealing your electric, very common there.
My computer alone draws 1,000 watts 😆
Are you mining Bitcoin? Most laptop with separate monitors should consume not much more than 100W combined.
mines about 5k a month as well... and I game on a laptop but the aircon is set low, and I got monitors, tv going and work from home. 220sqm home
Also city water has no pressure. So you hopefully have a tank to pressurize it before it goes to your house. If you don't have a tank prob expect another 500 per head a month per person.
It all depends on what you can afford some people get $10,000 a month retirement some people get $2,000
They need an example, which is the point of the video
Health insurance my dad pays 4500thb a month. Decent price for a 76yo.
Mine will go up as I get older and rise higher than the CPI index 👍
How much???
😆
25,000 b that’s a lot I know people bought a condo there pavement is cheaper than that I bought a home my wife is the owner I can live here in Thailand including water and power bill 600.00 a month easy . Which is about 20,000 b a month We eat very cheap home and out for breakfast. Motorcycle for travel I don’t need a car. Me and the wife are very conservative.
Like I sad at the beginning, everyone will have their chosen lifestyle
100 baht is not 100 pennies. 100 baht equals $2.72. It is not as cheap as people think it is.
It all adds up!
Just two blokes enjoying lunch
That's what I thought 😂
Jealousy shows through bro
Really dude? C’mon. Don’t be that guy.
@stevenherberts968 let me guess. This Thai bloke is hotter and more feminine than your wife,gf or mom lol.
@Stuffed007 Grow up!
you could save more.. if you got a grip
Nah!
its not about saving as much as possible. Its about being comfortable with what you got. When I first came here I lived on 10k baht a month. I was miserable
High budget but why still sword fight?
.
18:31 😂😂😂
Did you say she 😳
.
Seems like a bit over the top budget to me,wonder why?(sarcasm here)
.
How much all the plastic surgery ?
That's in an earlier video
@@ChanyaAndWazzaThailandthx 👍
There's a Tuber whose focus is telling people he has an extraordinary quality of life living in the heart of Patong on $1,000 Canadian/month 🤣🤣🤣
He should have A PHD lol
@@thriveasia1935 Omggggg, HAHAAAA. So, you know him! He calls himself "Doctor" 🤣🤣🤣
That can't be done in Patong! I would say $1500usd bare minumum is possible. Most of the places there have dual pricing, so the argument about Thais doing it on less goes out the window. He's a good cookie host though 😂😂
@@Beats00001 Agree 100%
U never said where u were living in Thailand….
Not in this video, but the video I linked did. We're 25km west of Bangkok
Maybe a name of the place u live might be easier bro …
With all the gorgeous ladies in Thailand why ….????????
