- These are the complete results of all my blood and urine tests after 1 1/2 years on a strict carnivore diet. Blood was drawn Dec 29, 2023 and results came in this morning, Jan 2nd, 2024. These are the honest results of all tests that I download from the VA website this morning, and my commentary on the results.

I'm 74. As I mentioned in a previous post, I too had a complete physical at the VA in Oct. During the physical interview with my doc (he's been my doc for 16 years) we talked about what was going on in my life because he was amazed by my appearance and blood test results. Two and half years ago at my last last physical I weighed 215 pounds. I had very high LDL and HDL cholesterol levels, low vitamin D and iron levels, and my A1C was 6.0 (borderline diabetic). This time my weight was 163, my LDL was still high, but my HDL, vitamin D and iron levels were all in the normal range. The biggest change was my A1C level was 5.0, which is the lowest it's been in 12 years according to the doc. Fortunately, my doc knows about carnivore and has seen a couple of videos by the carnivore docs (Chaffee, Berry, and Baker). He said he wasn't concerned by my LDL level given my diet. When I left his office all he said was "You're doing great, keep doing what your doing. I wish my other patients were making the same kind of progress." Edited... thanks for sharing your results brother.
That's great to here. He better be careful, or the VA might fire him for such radical and dangerous views.... lol
That is truly awesome! Congrats on having an open minded doctor! Let’s hope all docs go this way and support carnivore!
Same story... 280lb and AWFUL blood tests.. i had bad metabolic syndrome.. 6 months later, after i start carnivore, I go in and im 220lbs and all my blood tests are perfect. No more type 2, no more NAFLD.. triglycerides from 9 to 2.. you name it I fixed it in 6 months. My robot doctor zeroes in on my LDL and tells me I need a statin :( That was 3 years ago and our relationship has completely deteriorated with my refusal to take most of his advice. I so desperately want to say "If I want to be sick and die sooner, I'll take your advice"
@@user-xj5xp6qz5g wouldn’t you want a different doctor? One who appreciates you and compliments you on your success.
PS: You want to have "high" HDL.
Dittos brother! I went carnivore 2 years ago. I’m 65. I retired firefighter as of 3 years ago. Down from 240lbs to 180 now. Best health of my life. Building muscle. Having fun enjoying my retirement. I quit doctors.

Funny thing about docs. You don't need em till you need em.
@@fiberbeads yup. As it should be.
Doctors are good for acute care. Chronic care and keeping us off meds? Not so much.
So right Mitch!
At 52 my PSA topped out at 6.35, I had 2 urologists both screaming at me that there was no way to lower my PSA and that I needed a biopsy! I went OMAD KETO fast forward 2 years it had dropped to 3.0 (it’s 2.9 summer 2023 at 57 years young), I was at my GP’s office asking how this could be? She ran out of the examination room! Fact: these doctors don’t want you healthy they want you sick and dependent on them!
Have a great new year Mitch! Second day full carnivore for me!
Thanks, you too!
The doctors actually want you healthy, the real problem is they get their training from the insurance companies who want you sick. The doctors genuinely believe what they are doing for you is the right thing because that is how they are trained. The medical insurance companies are the true evil ones. They know carnivore makes us healthy and they don't want the masses finding out the truth because that means less $$$ in their greedy evil pockets. They insurance companies want us to stay sick so we can keep paying them for medications that don't fix the root cause but only relieve the symptoms. The lies are sold so genuinely to us because they use Doctors who actually do care and train them incorrectly.
I have no idea what you sad. Why did who run away ?
@@seascape185 go carnivore. Simple enough?
Did you eliminate dairy in the last 2 years? I dropped my PSA from 6.2 to 3.7 in 6 months by eliminating dairy and going 99% carnivore. All while my testosterone increased 38% to 640.
I'm 71 - and I laughed out loud at your testosterone levels! I've known a few men who would be perfectly willing to risk that high cholesterol in return for that level of testosterone!
I don't see the risk ...lol
I'm in awe at his testo number.
Mitch, I am horrified by the reference range of LDL being given as less than 99. That is CRAZY!!! That level is dangerously low. No wonder the general population is getting sicker and sicker.
It is mind-boggling. Yet they stick with it!
And up is down and left is right. eh?
It’s to get you on meds ..
Dx Type 2 Jun 2023 during a physical for a new job interview process. A1c of 8.0 and fasting glucose was 150mg/dL (no fasting insulin test was ordered by the prospective employer). I'm 66 years old, 6' tall, & was 255 lbs at that time. Within a week went OMAD carnivore. On 26 Dec 2023, I personally ordered & paid for an "On-Demand" A1c test from Labcorp. A1c result was 5.3. Average fasting glucose blood stick each morning is 85 & ketones measure at 1.4 mmol/L average. I'm 175 lbs this morning. I've an endocrinologist appointment in late Mar 2024. Will now focus on my ALT, trigs & and HDL, which were "out of range" @ 76, 31 & 174 respectively Jun 2023. Carnivore for life.
Congratulations! That's fabuluous!
@OldGuyCarnivore Thanx Mitch, feeling great!
In relation to your home gym build video, this is the next step for me. Not building a home gym, but exercising, which is something I've neglected for over thirty years. I've been using 3 lb & 10 lb hand weights the last month or so. HIIT sprinting is next on the list... along with quitting cigarettes. I think I'll buy a basketball and shoot hoops, which used to be my passion and is great for hand to eye coordination. All should help with TG/HDL Ratio. I look forward to further videos from you on your exercise regimen. Dante @ Ferigno Freedom is beginning an experiment with HIIT sprinting this New Year, so I'm watching his channel closely as well.
Did I get the job? Yes, it was a grueling 4 month process getting all the paperwork, security clearances, etc. When I'd checked off the last item on the list and received the official employment offer letter, the Hamas/Israel War began. The Middle East compound where I'd be living/working right now has been attacked over 250 times since Oct 2023...so deployment is officially on hold. I'm glad I hadn't told my present employer yet or turned in "2 week notice." 😬
Great results this far 👏👏👏
Congratulations! Carnivore is the way to reverse t2d. 🥓🍖🥩
Inspirational . Thankyou
At 71 I went on a ketogenic diet and it’s 73. I went carnivore. I am now 78 and I’ve been carnivore for five years, and I am still alive! WTF😂🙏
How is that even possible? lol
Sounds good to me! My LDL has been high all my life ranging from 230 to 350. But like you, I am the healthiest at 75 that I have ever been! Carry on, Mitch! Your doing just fine!

I'm 66yo. I almost never have illnesses or medical issues. In fact I only go to the doc to be stitched up after a knife or hatchet slip. I go by how I FEEL, and don't give a fk about numbers. So far it's worked for me.
Probably a great decision!
same - 66 - hardly ever went to doc, WON'T go to doc unless its a wound. Now with carnivore diet I feel protected going forward. The world system is largely a failure.
The same goes for me. I don't concern myself about numbers.
I'm 71yo and on the carnivore way of eating for 4 months now and feeling great.
All my life l have enjoyed good health, as l mainly ate meat anyway, with only a small amount of fruit and vegetables.
I don't drink alcohol anymore (gave it up when l started carnivore) and have never smoked.
I just eat when l'm hungry and only drink water when l'm thirsty. (No tea or coffee)
I'm down from 98kgs to 72kgs now. This new lifestyle is easy for me.
Every time I've ever gone to the doctor for any reason at all, I'd always end up on antibiotics or pain killers or some other useless garbage, "just in case", they say. Doctors don't have time to do much else besides prescribing whatever is hot with the pharmaceutical companies (and is most profitable) at the time.
Congratulations on the high LDL you’ll have the benefit of living longer.
Hey Mitch, Happy New Year!
You're absolutely correct, we all need to educate ourselves on this issue. The prevailing wisdom of the last 40 or so years has been disastrous, the overall decline in health speaks for itself.
Exactly!

Thank you sir for this...70 yrs. old, 16 months not strict carnivore but pretty close, (Coffee and heavy cream drinker). I've decided

I'm glad that you're here
Go Mitch! I have not done any blood tests since starting carnivore because I do not want to come face to face with a doctor unless I am dying. However, it is interesting to hear the results of other carnivores.
I understand your thoughts. Me too, especially where I live and Carnivore being so new. Happy New Year. 🎆
@@AnneMB955 Thanks. You too!
I understand completely!
"I do not want to come face to face with a doctor unless I am dying." Hahaha. And maybe not even then.
I am 2 years carnivore, and went to the Dr to get an overall metabolic health test done. Generally OK results, but LDL very high at 450. Of course Dr wanted me on statins (I said no), and also wanted me on the stronger stuff (PK9s?), and I said no. Never forget that your doctor works for you, not the other way round. You do not have to do what they say. They are a consultant that you can choose to listen to or not.
Good job. I sometimes fall off the wagon and start eating sugary snacks like I’m ravenous. 😐
Nice one, Mitch. It's looking like you will be around in rude good health for the foreseeable future!
It's amazing how everything is improving once you stop eating plants. It's almost like you're not poisoned anymore. Who knew?
Kinda becoming obvious, Anthony. You would think that the "smart" people in the food and drug companies might take notice! LOL
@OldGuyCarnivore They are noticing. Hence, all the new studies tell us to stop eating meat!

Thanks for this, Mitch. I am one of those many tens of thousands who chose carnivore and 16 months later still going strong. At 64, I owe it to myself and family to live a strong, healthy and happy life. I am in the best shape of my life. No meds. No issues. A metabolic health age of 41. All I do, is eat no carbs and lots of protein and fats (butter, tallow, lard). That's it. Simple yet profoundly effective. Mitch, your testosterone markers made me laugh hard when you announced them! Great job! No erectile disfunction at 76! Brilliant! Young guys take note!
With literally tens of thousands of anecdotal cases like you, when do you think they'll glance in our direction and realize they're doing it all wrong? Probably never as long as there's a buck to be made!

Your results look great Mitch! Congrats! I truly feel that Lean Mass Hyper Responder is common for carnivores. Just found your channel and have been enjoying them. I'm an old guy also a veteran, but only a mere 67 years old. I'm also on a good health journey and finding similar truths in a healthy lifestyle. I won't go into any details, but I did want to share a suggestion. I would suggest you ask your doctor at the VA for a heart stress test when you go in for your annual visit. Luckily your cholesterol numbers justify him ordering it with the Va system. I did this 6 years ago but had difficulty getting it ordered because my blood test numbers didn't indicate a risk. But I wanted to do it because a close friend of mine had recently died from a heart attack. I think you're right about these test numbers being complicated and don't take into account our individual factors. The stress test on the treadmill under the supervision of a cardiologist is the right way to test your cardiovascular health and if you might have a heart attack, not a blood test. Doing this test is like a colonoscopy, it's no fun to do, but will show many problems early and I'm telling you, it will give you very much peace of mind! Good luck fellow old guy :)
Thanks! I appreciate the advice
Good job. Congratulations. Thank you sir

Hi Mitch. Thank you for sharing your blood test results, and offering your input on them. I'm 2 yrs carnivore. My doc's main focus on my blood test results was the LDL number, even though my triglyceride level was .5. The benefits far outweigh going back to the SAD, and I too, will stay informed and take my chances.
That is our personal choice. I seem to be in better health than any of the doctors I have seen over the years.....lol
You do know there are other options then the standard American diet. You don't have to eat like crap. A healthy omnivore diet is an option, one that's plant focused, if you're worried about cholesterol.
@@mrmaxcarter2306 Of course I know. These two aren't the only options I've tried, but this is what I choose to do for now. Thanks for pointing it out, though.
@@dixiedixiedal I personally don't think carnivore is the best Long term diet, but anything is better then the standard American. Whatever someone thinks about cholesterol, the added sugar and highly processed foods is something carnivores and whole food plant based vegans can probably agree on.

I am amazed by all the Americans who routinely get all these blood and medical tests. As well as the paperwork. I live in Eastern Canada routine bloodwork, which is sometimes difficult to get your doctor to do. Unless looking for something due to illness or injury. I have had constant issues with doctor over cholesterol numbers. It would be so beneficial to be able to order even some of these tests. My husband believes everything our doctor tells him! He is stage 4 kidney, and I want him to eat more protein, but he is so stuck on the 'fiber veg and fruit' recommendations. Interesting information. I'm glad I opened this up. 71 here Mitch and my blood work from just a couple weeks ago is pretty close to yours, all withing normal range except my dreaded cholesterol 🙂 You must be a LMHR guy. But anyway You're doing great!!! My risk ratios for heart disease are very low Trig/hdl or chol/hdl are lower than "acceptable" so I tell them to keep their statins, I'm not worried. Feeling this good in my 70's is great and I LOVE it! Stay well my friend and keep rocking it Dude! 😀

What also is impressive is your mind is razor sharp... Well done sir!

My recent lipid panel similar to yours except trigs were higher for some reason. Got on a call with my MD yesterday, told me my blood was sludge with a high LDL and that BUN was high due to high protein diet causing muscle wasting! Shocked I didn’t eat any vegetables and I need to start eating them and switch to egg whites and lean meat. Thanks for sharing Mitch, you’re an inspiration.
Your doctor, unfortunately, is ignorant, in my opinion. Glad you realize that. Too many of those people in our medical profession. Thanks!
This is great video and informative. I had blood tests after adverse reaction to the dreaded virus jabs and have adopted the low carb, carnivore regime too.
My doctor only told me that I needed emergency antibiotics due to inflammation and my blood glucose was high. Since then I have eliminated carbohydrates to less than 20g per day and at least now I can breathe and walk more than 100 yards (which I was unable to do after the jabs). As a past squash player and now 72 years old, not being able to breathe so quickly after the third jab was scary. My choice was to heal myself with carnivore and very low carb levels.
Now I have a daily NAD supplement which is also helping clear congestion, (if you know what I mean).
I'm a 61 year old veteran. I have done the research also, for years since I exited with health issues. I want to say, with all due respect, your WBC is not low. It is within range. Mine is low however at 3.2-so don't fret on numbers that are within range.
Best of health to you, carry on.
Thanks for sharing!

Great numbers, Mitch! You know, it really is hard because it feels just like you said: "You place your bet." In this day and age, you'd think we would know more and have more *honest* information available, but alas, it is not so. If anything, food decisions are more convoluted than ever. So yes, we have to use ourselves as an experiment. But I would say that so far your experiment is going quite well. 🧡

Right there with ya. I live off bacon and eggs. Have been for months. Lost 27 pounds and I do push-ups every day. Feel like I'm a teenager again.
You got this!
I’m 677 MTHFR and we need a added set of labs, but I have not approached my GP doctor about that because she has no clue about MTHFR and an MTHFR doctors is not covered by my insurance sadly!!
But you said it exactly right 18:09 The fact that doctors say people should be eating the SAD and all that sugar and all that fruit to get the blood levels that they desire is absolutely ridiculous.
Thank you for sticking to your guns and I’m so happy you’re feeling great
Our/Your quality of life is what’s important, not eating the SAD!! 😊❤
Also, I read one of your comments. Yes it’s definitely genetic. My mom’s cholesterol was over 300 her entire life and she lived to be 92.
Thanks, we'll said. I'm not too knowledgeable about the Autism spectrum, but I'm surprised your insurance company doesn't cover it.
Congratulations 🎉
Thanks!
