    Great video. Thank y'all for everything y'all do to bring us these stories.
    That entire fued was something that should've never happened. I'm glad the later generations put an end to it.
    May all that were touched by the fued find the peace in death that so many missed in life.
    God bless y'all for all that you do and stay safe on your travels.

    Beautiful cemetery, looks to be well cared for. I really enjoyed seeing pictures of the deceased on headstones 🪦 Let us hope that 20-30 years from now, there will still be people who will want to learn about the feud. Thank you very much Leo and Heather, for another great video. Have a great day. 😊

    It's ironic that people argue over the feud trying to remember and the actual participants probably just wanted to forget it. Another good video guys

    I'll always say that Appalachian family cemeteries are the most beautiful and peaceful places on Earth.
    I remember hearing about the death of Mr. Jim McCoy when I was a child and the historical significance he held. I'm not sure if he had an active involvement since he would have been really young, but I remember being told that when he passed, the last living memory of the feud went with him. Just a couple of other observations: the Harriett McCoy stone is definitely a replacement. Probably done in the 1960s from looking at the style of it. Also, the symbol of an anchor on a headstone in a non-military or nautical setting is a symbol of hope and strength.
    As always, thanks for another great video! Makes me feel like I'm back home standing in the early summer sun peeking through the trees.

    Maybe he's a "Participant" in the sense that he helped end it. Not necessarily that he was fighting in it?

  • @samwhite414
    @samwhite414 Před 15 dny +1

    Maybe they called him a participant only because his family was so close to the fighting?

    Do you know anything about this McCoy? Her name to the best of my knowledge was Amanda C. (McClain) McCoy wife of Asa H. McCoy. Her daughter was Lulah McCoy Singleton (birth May 20, 1870.
