Out of 20 high end packs, the Fjallraven Bergtagen 38 is the most comfortable one I own. It's a minimalists dream with every feature carefully thought out. A true work of art. Highly recommend ;)

I've been using mountain backpacks for more than 20 years. Treks and climbs. This clear and durable design reminds me to the good black diamond packs. Those times are gone, and now they're full of zippers and ain´t good packs anymore.
Congratulations for your design, it looks almost perfect to me.
I would just add: 1.- longer side straps in case you want to hold a bivy mat. 2.- Would it be possible to sew a side mesh pocket? they are very handy. 3.- Black color, please.

Beautiful and functional design. Just like other Scandinavian brands. Perfect backpack for mountaineering.

I wanted this pack for a long time. I got one and was very happy with it. But I hooked a water bladder to the inside hook and it slot into the pocket nicely. Where do you bring out the hose for the bladder. I had to sinch the top closed one bring it out the centre. Not great at all but no other choice. Surly fjallraven did not put a exit point in this pack

Why no water bottle compartment? 😢

I woud not worry about it. I have my testpack - a Singi 48 - already for some while and done crazy things with it and it is still like new. And if you menage to brake one, carve a new one on your trip. Must be a nice challenge ;-). The review of the Singi is here: czcams.com/video/X3iS6OONXOg/video.html Enjoy the Outdoors and Stay Safe!

Sorry, this pack is just not worth its rather high price. Just came back from the mountains; a day of light rain was enough to soak all my gear in the pack. So far for fjällrävens "waterproof" material. The pack further has a serious design flaw: the top part sits too loose on the main part. When the pack is not fully loaded, there's a large gap on the backside between top part and main part, again allowing rain to stream right into your pack.
The lack of a waterbottle sleeve is a bummer... no, not everyone uses a camelback.
Finally, the carrying system is ok, but not even close to what Osprey can do.
So for the price, it's been a disappointment.
Fjällräven, go back to the drawing board and come up with something better...

Thanks for the review. I've also read that there is no hose port for those who do use a hydration bladder, which is disappointing.
