Even as a 13 year old kid I loved this guy and appreciated his work, to me he wasn't a heel because everything he was saying was the truth! To think he was only 23 or 24 when he left, to be that good that young, imagine how good he would've become as he got older and more experienced. He was only on the main roster for about 8 months and people still talk about him to this day, just shows what an impact he made. Glad to see him doing well, seems like such a cool, down to earth and humble human being.
I'm from New Zealand & I remember his run & I was all for it. Absolute fire. He was brilliant & captured the full essence of that character. I legit thought it was a shoot. He was that good.

Muhammad Hassan was a great heel, and a great wrestler, and deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. He was very underrated. Its crazy because I witnessed 9/11, and I never got caught up in the hate towards him that most fans had. I didn't understand as a teenager, but as an adult, now I understand why I didn't hate him.

I get what you’re saying but those guys have been wrestling all that time where as someone who haven’t wrestled full time in 19-20 years, it would be hard to just get back in a ring for a return in their 40s.
He was so good in his job that as a Persian, I could only see how it all aligned to his story and character, he actually made me believe he was an Arab and Sean Daivari was also great, such a great job he did back then

This is one of my best friends when I first started a Ovw along with Johnny Jeter, Chris Cage, and Nova and Kevin, Fertig and Travis Tomko and Renee Dupree and Mickey James. Mark is not lying about how good he was at Ovw‘s gimmick they had for him at the time called “this year‘s model Mark Magnus“ they honestly could’ve put that on television the next week for raw/SmackDown and we would be seeing a very different story about him today and wrestling history in my opinion. They also screwed the pooch royally on Johnny Jeter! That everybody and their mother could see was one of the best selling baby faces and high flyers that we were all comparing to a modern day Ricky Morton at the time. And that’s no hyperbole! These guys were really that damn good! And they both busted their ass for years without a wrestling contract, but kept up with everyone of us that were under contract until WWE finally, signed them both. Super happy for my brother Mark Copani & what he’s doing with his life today

I'm from Portugal, and at the tine i was watching Muhammad Hassan in WWE i was 14, 15 years old, and i didn't understand why he was hated so much, and was at the time my favorite wrestler, and when he had the match with The Undertaker at the Great American Match i fought for real that he was killed by The Undertaker, i didn't have internet so could not knew what was happening, and really fought he was dead lol, thanks Chris for this interview!!!!

He was in the WWE for only 9 months and we ALL remember him almost 20 years later. For better or worse, he achieved something many wrestlers never do in their entire lifetime.
Would love to see Marc either as an backstage producer or even an on-air manager/GM at some point! So glad I got to meet both him and Daivairi at the first WrestleCon years after his departure from the company. Such nice guys.

I would love to see him in the Performance Center teaching promo classes or something. He was a natural on the mic. He had great instincts, and I think he could be a great asset working with the young guys and girls. His story would be very effective in getting them to listen. No new wrestler has ever gotten a character over to that degree so quickly. He could really be valuable as a teacher in professional wrestling. He is more than qualified.
I'm so glad to hear that he liked his own theme song. Many wrestlers surprisingly don't like their own theme music. I have liked that theme song so much, since day one. That bassline is a crusher, and the vocals are perfect. I still don't know the translation of the lyrics yet (I might search for them)😅.
It is a travesty how Marc's career in wrestling was derailed because he was handed a character that he played extremely well! WWE really dropped the ball with him. Crazy how his run was less than 7 months!

Hulk Hogan returning to beat up Hassan and Davari at Wrestlemania 21 is my all time favourite WM moment. He's part of history for me.

I would love to see him in the Performance Center teaching promo classes or something. He was a natural on the mic. He had great instincts, and I think he could be a great asset working with the young guys and girls. His story would be very effective in getting them to listen. No new wrestler has ever gotten a character over to that degree so quickly. He could really be valuable as a teacher in professional wrestling. He is more than qualified.

I'm so glad to hear that he liked his own theme song. Many wrestlers surprisingly don't like their own theme music. I have liked that theme song so much, since day one. It is a travesty how Marc's career in wrestling was derailed because he was handed a character that he played extremely well! WWE really dropped the ball with him. Crazy how his run was less than 7 months!
