VEP Prep Episode 2: I Get Distracted and go for a Drive in my MK1 Citroen BX 16 TRS (Rustival Prep)

- In this episode of my preparation for Rustival...I fail completely to prepare VEP for rustival and instead scratch the itch to take VEP on a cheeky 'quick' drive...which of course means I wind up out most of the day.
This is shot honest, unscripted, and contains substantial waffle, but I hope in some small way you get at least a feel for why I love this car so much. I'm very much at the beginning of my journey talking to camera & driving so please bare with me whilst I get to grips with it!

That was a great drive and I completely agree with the comments on handling. To many manufacturers just stiffen the suspension and call it 'Sporty' whereas it just ends up hard and uncomfortable. I love the way my BX just wafts around the bends without effort giving a supremely comfortable ride and a surprising amount of grip - even the wife (my gauge of refinement) finds the car almost acceptable, mind you she's comparing it to my daily Minor Taveller😁 Looking forward to you actually fitting the new seats. I was always a bit jealous of VEPs mud flaps but I managed to bag a couple of sets of old new old stock ones on the bay and they look brilliant, as do VEPs😎
My first car was a BX, I had the saloon version of your generation of V70 for just under 10 years... and your a Trekkie too!

Hey matey! I’m currently recommissioning my BX16 TRS on CZcams! Been sat for 4 years, deffo not done my car any good. All the low pressure LHM rubber coupler return lines were rotten, been chipping away at it + 1 million other things. I’m only 28 but somehow feel the same way you do about these old French nuggets! Your car is bloody lovely tho, makes mine look shocking!!

Yes I am 🤣 - I also use Handel Gothic (the font from DS9 & Voyager) in my videos, and for my Channel Logo too 😊
