Unless the Restoration figure out that Clutch's villain team are manipulating them for their down fall, they are doomed to loose the Restoration. As for Rough and Tumble, I think Clutch actually didn't fire them and instead sent them to distract the Rabbit family because Cream is also awear that he is evil. R&T probably thought they could rob a few places while they were out and didn't know where Cream lived so they found her by chance.
But since TailsTube S2 takes place after frontiers, there's a good chance that they either got the restoration back or figured out the real plan behind Clean Sweep Inc.
Go back to Rough and Tumble, I asked Ian on his Q&A BumbleKast for November, despite the jokes, it's also possible that Clutch rehired the Skunk Brothers for his Restoration takeover scheme
@@SonicMania2099 this feels similar to the Nicole Bigotry/ King Naugus saga in the archie comics, counting the archie online issues replacing the reboot starting from issue 248, with all the deception, public not on the heroes side, heroes getting the receiving end of misguided injustice, etc. (I looked it up, and i suggest you do the same) at least now Naugus has been dethroned and exposed as the fraud he really is, but his deceptions still needs to be brought to light, people need to be chewed out for their bigotry towards Nicole and their blind trust towards Naugus, and even the majority of the council for letting their anger/ by the book nature blind them and keep them from doing the right thing. On a side note, i can compare Lanolin to Rosemary Prower (regretfully since she IS Tail's mother, in the archie comics anyway) for their by the book nature and that they became the ire of an issue during the start of the arc where the ire occurs, and i'd also compare Lanolin to Mina Mongoose, as they made rather dumb, but understandable choices due to their own internal fears, Lanolin from when her village was attack, and Mina from the Nightmares she had when Nicole became controlled by the Iron Dominion and trapped them. Mina's apologise, now so must Lanolin, and Rosemary Prower should get a satisfying, karmic but played for sympathy wake up call to her own mistakes and her biased wariness of the royals (trust me, i noticed how some reviewers on youtube criticise her dislike of the royals, thpugh that is somewhat understandable, given their previous mistakes and how Max could be a jerk sometimes) Back to IDW, Clutch and Mimic still have yet to get exposed, humiliated and ruined, but I'm almost 100% confident that Surge and Kit will either redeem or become anti-heroes or at the very least become remorseful. On another side note, I can compare Surge with Fiona Fox form archie comics, due to them both having abandonment issues, tragedy in their background and my hopes for a redemption. (with Archie Online, Fiona's redemption is now at least possible)
As much as it pains be to say it, Silver and Blaze did not hold hands in the comic, I still supported them as a couple and love the fact that they get pair up as a duo
If that was the case, it had to have been the artist choice. I think the writer confirmed in Bumblekast that Silver and Blaze don't see each other that way. Just as good friends
I have speculated that Amy will be the one to "redeem" Surge. Given her track record of sympathizing with misguided individuals and not thinking twice about helping someone in need, this prediction may come true. Seeing all three imposters together and the fact that Mimic has tentacle dreadlocks makes me realize who's imposter he might become. Personally I would've liked another glitch character, but let's see where this goes. Also, I would like to see Amy get a glitch imposter as well.
A glitch imposter for Amy would be nice to complete to set but sadly Amy to my knowledge never had a glitch that a new character could spawn from like Ashrua for Surge or Blue Knuckles for Tails. (which despite the sprite and name is more tied to Tails then Knuckles)
Will surge and kit big mistakes work with mimic, It is because he will back stab in the minute like he did mini series tangle and Whisper then bad guy.
In terms of the Rough and Tumble "goof" you mentioned there is a way to explain it. The comic never outright states that they where fired, just that they've fallen onto hard times. They could have just been doing there own independent mission while off-duty from clutch. They did essentially the same thing in the 2019 annual. it's set between issues 12 and 13 when their working for Eggman. yet the skunk brothers brake into the Lost Pyramid of Doctor Eggman for it's richies. So it's not uncommon for them to do there own thing in the downtime they have between doing missions for there bosses.
I'm already calling the fact that Mimic will double cross Surge and Kit like how he did his last two teams. Sure, Starline was gonna do it first, but Mimic still backstabbed Zavok

Because he lied to Eggman, who is much less cowardly but FAR more vengeful and greedy than Mimic, about successfully killing Whisper; he's constantly on the run from Eggman! In the end of Bad Guys, Mimic realized that deleting the info on him from EggNet wasn't enough! If word of his whereabouts slipped from Starline, Zavok, or the Skunk Brothers; his success in getting his info erased from EggNet would have been for nothing; so, he tried to get them axed off. Mimic's cowardice will compel him to keep on the move and try to kill everyone he does business with JUST in an effort to cover his tracks from Eggman. Even then, he's only making it worse! He'll be leaving a bloody trail, which will only make it EASIER for Eggman to notice and track him; and the more people he tries and FAILS to kill, the more people he'll have that will want to kill HIM! If he tries and fails to kill Surge and Kit, they WILL make an attempt on his life; and ONCE they show their faces in front of him after which, he'll KNOW that he's only getting ONE Death Saving Throw on which he'll have to roll a NAT 20 to succeed on!

I find it quite the interesting situation for Whisper because she hates Mimic more but does know that Surge is the bigger threat. So question is when it hits the fan who does Whisper go after?
Like, do you go for the one who’s solely responsible for starting exactly everything off from the very beginning or the one who has recently gave you quite the brutalish beatdown upon yourself in any known way possible via utilizing all of your comrades stolen wisps from a still incomplete work in progress Eggtech device? I see her going for the first option mainly in due to part to his shapeshifter ability on causing a lotta more not so good things for the heroes and everyone else on the planet, to be honest. I can picture a nice scene, maybe way off in the future, where Whisper eventually forgives Surge, or is desperate enough, and asks her Wisps to help her, giving her the colour power rather thank taking it, and stopping whatever powerful threat they are fighting.
Cool to see Silver and Blaze again I can see Lanolin realized she is wrong about Silver once Mimic is exposed and she apologizes and wants to make it up to him. I can see her asking Silver if she wants to join the the Restoration or the Diamond Cutters; however, Silver turns them down and he's already part of a great team with Sonic and his friends and got a great partner, Blaze.
I'm a little surprised Silver STILL with the restoration. Considering the incident last time that got him kicked out of the diamond cutters and possibly the restoration as well. I would have thought after he ran to Blaze again, he would have actually stay away from the restoration, get his mind off the subject of Mimic, and improve on his skills.
Considering that Lanolin is okay with Surge and Kit SOLELY because Amy recommended them, Amy probably talked her into letting Silver stay. That stupid sheep would jump of a cliff if Amy told her to. :P

@@rynobehnke8289 Same with Whisper, who was a big deal during the resistance, filling in the role of the custom character from forces, and then some with sniper support making things work. Evan Stanley really botched Lanolin's character in those issues, its like a completely different character from the egg city arc which established what her character is.
It seems Clutch is really starting to build his war chest. He's got a shape-shifting mercenary, two muscle-headed bruisers, and a pair of superpower cyborgs who came very close to killing Sonic and Tails on his payroll. I'm really curious as to where this arc is headed, because it's very intriguing so far.
Personally, I love Surge's dynamic with the heroes this issue. Also, Clutch is really building up to be the next big villain, eh? Let's see whether they'll Starline him, too, or whether he'll survive Issue 100.

I do get Sonic’s comparison to Omega and Gemerl but their cases are different. With Omega Eggman kept him in a secret location to guard the unconcious Shadow which led to Omega's hatred and resentment toward his creator seeing that Eggman wasted his potential which is why he joins the good side. And with Gemerl it's because Tails reprogrammed him after Sonic and Eggman defeated him in Sonic Advance 3. Surge and Kit are different cases.
Yeah, but you've gotta admit; Belle has NO room to talk. She repaired Metal Sonic; almost getting Sonic, Tails, Kit, and herself KILLED! She also, without hesitance, told Eggman that she interfaced with Metal Sonic directly, which he'll undoubtedly put to use if he hasn't already. Furthermore the very fact that she blames Starline entirely for the loss of Mr. Tinker but absolves Metal Sonic, whom Starline TOLD "helped" him, is just plain stupid; especially since Metal Sonic practically did it himself. Starline's shock therapy did squat to bring Eggman back! On a related note; Surge and Kit's cases are ALSO different from Eggman, Starline, Mimic, Clutch, the Deadly Six, and ESPECIALLY that no good tin can Metal Sonic! None of them have good reasons for their motives. Eggman's just butt-hurt because he feels the world didn't give his grandfather's, and by extension his, genius the respect he falsely believes it deserves. Starline was deranged for even thinking that sort of man was worth looking up to. Mimic only cares about staying alive, getting revenge, and getting paid IN THAT DESCENDING ORDER. Clutch is a greedy old crime boss. The Deadly Six are demons, thus delight in cruelty. Lastly, Metal Sonic HAS NO SOUL. Surge and Kit, on the other hand, are victims of cruelty AND are in the same age range as the heroes. They each deserve more chances than the afore mentioned villains COMBINED. Honestly, the same goes for the Skunk Brothers. Yes, they're bullies; but they're also often easy prey for bigger bullies, such as the 21+ year old villains. Vanilla was even able to get them to behave for a whole evening. If that can happen, there's no reason to NOT give Surge and Kit chances. Plus, Sonic DOES have a point about Mecha Sonic. He was hurting inside just like Kit and Surge are, and he was able to find relief.
@@videogollumer main issue is Kit might not be as easy to turn around as Surge, Surge is chaotic but doesn't seem to hold a grudge against them, she's saved that for Starline, who she was getting haunted by thanks to trauma, Kit on the other hand absolutely despises Tails, thinking he lied to him on purpose, he took it very personally and the comic really pushes that Kit has no intention of being buddies with the Restoration. So if Surge does go against Clutch's wishes, we might have a moment where kit feels betrayed again. So there might be a crazy moment there.

Here an interesting theory: Clutch might be related to surge given their fur color and and invert look of their eyes. Plus having clutch give up on surge just to make cash would be an interesting yet making him just as bad as starline. Though i doubt tbey would go that route... Right?
Clutch is an opossum and Surge is a tenrec, so I doubt it. Theres no hybrid features on Surge as far as we can tell. However, that doesnt mean Clutch doesn't know who she is, maybe he really does and isnt lying, though i suspect It was Clutch who gave Surge and Kit to Starline, my personal guess? they were orphans from various Eggman conflicts. Easy to take off the street.
Technically Sonic has made reference to 06 events, which silver didn't remember, and crisis city appeared in generations distorted timeline. It's possible he's the only one who remembers.

The only thing implying anything of the like of Silver knowing is a small blurb from the Sonic Fast Friends Forever webside that directly contradicts Silver and Blaze first post-06 meeting in Colors DS.

You know what would be a cool spinoff story, if Sonic never held back. Like how in Spiderman 3, and yes I do like Spiderman 3 I have to admit it wasn’t a bad movie, I just found it really entertaining and kinda dumb but that’s what I enjoy about. But it would be crazy to see if Sonic never held back against his enemies, and to see how his friends and enemies would think of him when they see a different Sonic. A broken Sonic after the Metal virus, a Sonic that always use all of his power, it would be interesting to see what would happen to Eggman, Surge and Kit, and Starline before he died. Hey, I'm thinking about doing a sonic version of justice league gods and monsters. I figured I'd use shadow and blaze as the superman and wonder woman, but I'm having trouble figuring out which sonic character would be the batman of the story. Thoughts?
I was surprised that I liked this comic. I was not a fan of Surge and Kit after the last arc. Maybe it's because the comic finished up the "feel sad for Surge and Kit" saga. Now Surge and Kit feel like genuine bad guy, and I like it a lot. I also like how Sonic is portrayed here. He gives people a second chance, but that doesn't mean he trust them. And the light little threat he throws back at Surge is nice. I'll had to double-check the comic because it felt like so much was put in this one single issue. But it didn't feel crammed either
I have an idea of what they could do with durge and kit. Surge after spending time with others of the main cast abd some background characters she could start to enjoy her time and i could see her trying to out hero sonic at times. Kinda like a sonic to sonic. And i can imagen that kit becomes a shadow to tails. Aka shadow and sonic but kit and tails. But when it all gose down i can see surge having a brakedown and not wanting to hurt the people she has met and or not knowing who to trust and just freezing in place. I can imagen sonic or someone seeing this and seeing surge as a kid who just needs a good role model. But kit and mimick doing the plan without problems. I could imagen a plot point where surge has to choose her pas or her future. Learn who she was but close the door for a better future or let go of her pass so she can have a bright future.
Well Sonic can lose, he just has to win eventually. Ian's Archie run was under that mandate and it didn't impact the storytelling that much nor did it stop the Metal Virus arc from happening.
I mean Clutch winning would technically not count as a lost for Sonic as he isn't a formal member of the Restauration that L would be firmly carried on Jewels back with Belle, Tangle, Whisper and Lanolin also getting hit by it (and maybe a bit Amy as she despite no longer being the official leader does tend to help out a lot still).
I doubt he would have the resources to be able to extract the scrap, being defended by robots and all, with one of them being Mecha Sonic. Trying that would probably be a net negative in business sense.
Silver and Blaze weren't holding hands if you look closely at the picture and Sonic also invited Blaze to dinner a couple of issues earlier, so I don't really see the shipping there.
Hm, things are certainly getting interesting now, doesn’t it? So, i guess the Misadventures Arc is still ongoing and a Hiatus, huh? Okay, sure, that’s fair, that’s probably a good way to gather hype, Also, a Mini-Series set at the Classic Era, huh? I wonder what that will be about? Anyway, a few things to unpack here: First: I initially thought that once Surge would awake up after what happened, she was going to go straight back to plotting another scheme or something, but I guess Surge and Kit has just been chilling out at, what I guess counts as, their old home this entire time and just trying to figure out what to do with themselves, granted I had a feeling that could’ve been the case too, but I didn’t really know how else they could’ve been reintroduced. Second: i thought Clutch fired the Skunk Brothers and Based on that little short flashback Clutch had about doing a meeting with Jewel, i would assume then that that particular meeting with Surge and Kit happened after him firing them, so i guess he rehired them? Huh, I guess Sonic isn’t the only who’s keen on Second Chances. Third: and most of all, it appears that Surge and Kit’s sudden appearance really were due to them joining Clutch in his schemes, but due to more sympathetic reasons than I was expecting, it seems like they still would very much like to know more about their past, so in that sense it’s understandable why they went along with it, the Question is still though: Will including them, really go as well as Clutch seem to think or will it backfire as maybe his worst blunder in his life? Anyway, on another note on that, I do find it really interesting, that their little flashback at beginning of the Issue, started off with them pretty much complaining about their living condition, I can’t help but to think that tiny detail could be important later on, Though, I have been saying they, but it’s mostly, if not only, been Surge who has been doing the complaining and the one who showed any interest in what Clutch could potentially know about them, among other things, while Kit has really just been moving along, which is pretty much the usual for I guess, but still we haven’t gotten anything about his opinions throughout this , with the exception that he apparently has it out for Tails now, I guess we’ll see how that pans out. By the way, I didn’t think much of it initially, but after some thought, does anyone else feel like that Surge seems a little too …hm, mellow(?) in comparison to last time we saw her? I mean, she was such a ball of emotions before, had problem whatsoever with showing all the hatred and aggression she had, but now it feels like all of that has just vanished, now the reason why I am pointing this out, is not necessarily because of the hatred she had, but due to how she got it, She was conditioned, practically programmed into her to hate and destroy Sonic and I feel like something like that probably is at least a little harder to get over than just a genuine hatred, so seeing her now, seemingly being so relaxed, especially while the guy who was the target of her hate being right next to her, i can’t help but to wonder, why? Speaking of which, on top of that, with another thing i didn’t think much of initially, around the moment when Clutch revealed that he might know something about Surge and Kitsunami, Surge apparently seemed to realize that before he said anything and when she did, she looked behind her for some reason, now that could potentially not mean anything, but still why would realizing that there’s someone who might know something, make her look over her shoulder? Once again, I can’t help but to wonder, why? Well, regardless, I guess we’ll find out in the coming Issues, it’s going to be very interesting to see how this Arc will play out from here, but in the meantime, what is any of yours’ current Theories so far about how this Arc might play out? Well I can predict that clutch will betray surge and kit when he gets what he wants And Amy would give surge and kit to reflect on their actions and see the errors of their ways And as mimic well I definitely see him dipping out when clutch needs him the most when he's plan backfired
What are the chances once she finds out if Clutch is her relative and sold her to Starline, she will dethrone him so fast that she takes control of his base with Kit in tech control?
I have a feeling that Clutch might lie to Surge and Kit about what he knows. And my only reason is that Clutch runs a business that is shady in nature. He needs people that could follow his every biting. So what else would Clutch do? He would lie about their past just to keep them in line. By the way, this same scenario happened to Shadow in Shadow the Hedgehog. Shadow wanted answers about his past well he had amnesia from that fall from earth after SA2. Shadow confronted Eggman about his memories. Eggman lied to Shadow and claimed that "he had no past." But at the end of Shadow the Hedgehog, Eggman reveled he was lying to him all this time and said that he was the real Shadow. So I don't know about you, but I don't trust Clutch for a second. Even if he wasn't lying about their past, I still don't think he'll be honest about the truth.
I do believe the restoration will be destroyed/taken over, being that Frontiers takes places sometime in the future after the current point in the IDW comics, there is not a single mention of the Restoration anywhere in Frontiers, a game known to make a lot of little specific references, to the comics included, i suspect something really bad happened to the point where the cast would rather not bring it up. And the comics are now building up to that moment. It's possible that could be averted but I think that hinges entirely on Surge going against Clutch or not, if she really does warm up to sonic and co, she will have to contend with Kit who seems absolutely dead set on killing Tails, as he seems to take things much more personally than Surge did, it would be a moment of betrayal for him and I feel like it would break him. Better than the last issue that concerned this plotline, as it doesn't feel like they wrote the characters with -100 IQ points to make Mimic's subterfuge work. Still they need to give Lanolin some redeeming qualities back, Evan's writing of her ran counter to her arc that introduced her again in the egg city arc, #64 made her out to be a grizzled, stern veteran even though shes actually the least experienced of all of them and was self professed newbie.
3:284:10. It be a surprise and interesting for Surge if she somehow found out about Sonic past actions of possible murder or life confinement. When he and his friends try to kill Chaos before they know his full backstory. The black arms invasion where Sonic and his allies fought the black arms and possibly killed some soldiers. Also, the storybook series where Sonic puts Erazor Djinn in a lamb forever and doesn't mind regicide against King Arthur Without knowing he was a fake. If Sonic's friends don't question him or themselves on why they allow Eggman to live, and confine or kill other villains. Like Rough and Tumble who are less dangerous than Eggman. She might think Sonic and his friends are hypocritical false heroes who continue the cycle and conflicts that they have with Eggman regardless of how many more deaths or victims he and his followers are responsible for. After all sonic in the black knight said, "Guess I can't be the hero every time". Or ."I already told you, I don't mind playing the bad guy every once in a while." Why not give Eggman some harsh justice if he is extremely dangerous.
Forget that; what if she found out that Sonic and Tails repairing Metal Sonic and letting him get away is what caused Eggman to return from being Mr. Tinker, thus them being partly responsible for nearly every bad thing that followed Eggman's return INCLUDING Starline weaponizing her and Kit?! What if the whole world knew about Sonic's biggest blunder ever?

I’d love to see this kind of action come back and really whoop the villain’s in their butts. When Sonic makes a threat (similar to “You better hope you can run faster than me” to the Babylon Rogues in Archie), he’s scary as heck. So, I hope that he reminds the villains just how powerful he and his friends are. I’m also a little worried that when Mimic is revealed, Whisper is going to be so ticked off she leaves everyone behind and goes back to being a Lone Wolf for a bit. That would make me so upset.
If he did, I wanna imagine Whisper might go off somewhere to put her endeavors on hiatus to process the feeling. The man who tormented her and ruined her team is deceased and has no impact on the world anymore, so who knows what she’d do next.

Just look at that; Lanolin BLINDLY trusts Amy as if she was a flawless leader, even at Amy's opposition. If THAT doesn't say Lanolin is both biased AND stupid, I don't know WHAT does. As for Rough and Tumble, I think Clutch actually didn't fire them and instead sent them to distract the Rabbit family because Cream is also awear that he is evil. R&T probably thought they could rob a few places while they were out and didn't know where Cream lived so they found her by chance.

But since TailsTube S2 takes place after frontiers, there's a good chance that they either got the restoration back or figured out the real plan behind Clean Sweep Inc.

@@SonicMania2099 this feels similar to the Nicole Bigotry/ King Naugus saga in the archie comics, counting the archie online issues replacing the reboot starting from issue 248, with all the deception, public not on the heroes side, heroes getting the receiving end of misguided injustice, etc. (I looked it up, and i suggest you do the same) at least now Naugus has been dethroned and exposed as the fraud he really is, but his deceptions still needs to be brought to light, people need to be chewed out for their bigotry towards Nicole and their blind trust towards Naugus, and even the majority of the council for letting their anger/ by the book nature blind them and keep them from doing the right thing. On a side note, i can compare Lanolin to Rosemary Prower (regretfully since she IS Tail's mother, in the archie comics anyway) for their by the book nature and that they became the ire of an issue during the start of the arc where the ire occurs, and i'd also compare Lanolin to Mina Mongoose, as they made rather dumb, but understandable choices due to their own internal fears, Lanolin from when her village was attack, and Mina from the Nightmares she had when Nicole became controlled by the Iron Dominion and trapped them. Mina's apologise, now so must Lanolin, and Rosemary Prower should get a satisfying, karmic but played for sympathy wake up call to her own mistakes and her biased wariness of the royals (trust me, i noticed how some reviewers on youtube criticise her dislike of the royals, thpugh that is somewhat understandable, given their previous mistakes and how Max could be a jerk sometimes)
Back to IDW, Clutch and Mimic still have yet to get exposed, humiliated and ruined, but I'm almost 100% confident that Surge and Kit will either redeem or become anti-heroes or at the very least become remorseful. On another side note, I can compare Surge with Fiona Fox form archie comics, due to them both having abandonment issues, tragedy in their background and my hopes for a redemption. (with Archie Online, Fiona's redemption is now at least possible)
As much as it pains be to say it, Silver and Blaze did not hold hands in the comic, I still supported them as a couple and love the fact that they get pair up as a duo

I have speculated that Amy will be the one to "redeem" Surge. Given her track record of sympathizing with misguided individuals and not thinking twice about helping someone in need, this prediction may come true.
Seeing all three imposters together and the fact that Mimic has tentacle dreadlocks makes me realize who's imposter he might become. Personally I would've liked another glitch character, but let's see where this goes. Also, I would like to see Amy get a glitch imposter as well.
Since Superstars did use Amy to get Trip to the side of good. So that would be inevitable.
A glitch imposter for Amy would be nice to complete to set but sadly Amy to my knowledge never had a glitch that a new character could spawn from like Ashrua for Surge or Blue Knuckles for Tails. (which despite the sprite and name is more tied to Tails then Knuckles)

In terms of the Rough and Tumble "goof" you mentioned there is a way to explain it. The comic never outright states that they where fired, just that they've fallen onto hard times. They could have just been doing there own independent mission while off-duty from clutch. They did essentially the same thing in the 2019 annual. it's set between issues 12 and 13 when their working for Eggman. yet the skunk brothers brake into the Lost Pyramid of Doctor Eggman for it's richies. So it's not uncommon for them to do there own thing in the downtime they have between doing missions for there bosses.
I'm already calling the fact that Mimic will double cross Surge and Kit like how he did his last two teams. Sure, Starline was gonna do it first, but Mimic still backstabbed Zavok

Because he lied to Eggman, who is much less cowardly but FAR more vengeful and greedy than Mimic, about successfully killing Whisper; he's constantly on the run from Eggman! In the end of Bad Guys, Mimic realized that deleting the info on him from EggNet wasn't enough! If word of his whereabouts slipped from Starline, Zavok, or the Skunk Brothers; his success in getting his info erased from EggNet would have been for nothing; so, he tried to get them axed off.
Mimic's cowardice will compel him to keep on the move and try to kill everyone he does business with JUST in an effort to cover his tracks from Eggman. Even then, he's only making it worse! He'll be leaving a bloody trail, which will only make it EASIER for Eggman to notice and track him; and the more people he tries and FAILS to kill, the more people he'll have that will want to kill HIM! If he tries and fails to kill Surge and Kit, they WILL make an attempt on his life; and ONCE they show their faces in front of him after which, he'll KNOW that he's only getting ONE Death Saving Throw on which he'll have to roll a NAT 20 to succeed on!

I can picture a nice scene, maybe way off in the future, where Whisper eventually forgives Surge, or is desperate enough, and asks her Wisps to help her, giving her the colour power rather thank taking it, and stopping whatever powerful threat they are fighting.

I can see Lanolin realized she is wrong about Silver once Mimic is exposed and she apologizes and wants to make it up to him.
I can see her asking Silver if she wants to join the the Restoration or the Diamond Cutters; however, Silver turns them down and he's already part of a great team with Sonic and his friends and got a great partner, Blaze.

I'm a little surprised Silver STILL with the restoration. Considering the incident last time that got him kicked out of the diamond cutters and possibly the restoration as well. I would have thought after he ran to Blaze again, he would have actually stay away from the restoration, get his mind off the subject of Mimic, and improve on his skills.
Considering that Lanolin is okay with Surge and Kit SOLELY because Amy recommended them, Amy probably talked her into letting Silver stay. That stupid sheep would jump of a cliff if Amy told her to. :P

@@rynobehnke8289 Same with Whisper, who was a big deal during the resistance, filling in the role of the custom character from forces, and then some with sniper support making things work. Evan Stanley really botched Lanolin's character in those issues, its like a completely different character from the egg city arc which established what her character is.
It seems Clutch is really starting to build his war chest. He's got a shape-shifting mercenary, two muscle-headed bruisers, and a pair of superpower cyborgs who came very close to killing Sonic and Tails on his payroll. I'm really curious as to where this arc is headed, because it's very intriguing so far.
Personally, I love Surge's dynamic with the heroes this issue.
Also, Clutch is really building up to be the next big villain, eh?
Let's see whether they'll Starline him, too, or whether he'll survive Issue 100.

I do get Sonic’s comparison to Omega and Gemerl but their cases are different. With Omega Eggman kept him in a secret location to guard the unconcious Shadow which led to Omega's hatred and resentment toward his creator seeing that Eggman wasted his potential which is why he joins the good side. And with Gemerl it's because Tails reprogrammed him after Sonic and Eggman defeated him in Sonic Advance 3. Surge and Kit are different cases.
Yeah, but you've gotta admit; Belle has NO room to talk. She repaired Metal Sonic; almost getting Sonic, Tails, Kit, and herself KILLED! She also, without hesitance, told Eggman that she interfaced with Metal Sonic directly, which he'll undoubtedly put to use if he hasn't already. Furthermore the very fact that she blames Starline entirely for the loss of Mr. Tinker but absolves Metal Sonic, whom Starline TOLD "helped" him, is just plain stupid; especially since Metal Sonic practically did it himself. Starline's shock therapy did squat to bring Eggman back!
On a related note; Surge and Kit's cases are ALSO different from Eggman, Starline, Mimic, Clutch, the Deadly Six, and ESPECIALLY that no good tin can Metal Sonic! None of them have good reasons for their motives. Eggman's just butt-hurt because he feels the world didn't give his grandfather's, and by extension his, genius the respect he falsely believes it deserves. Starline was deranged for even thinking that sort of man was worth looking up to. Mimic only cares about staying alive, getting revenge, and getting paid IN THAT DESCENDING ORDER. Clutch is a greedy old crime boss. The Deadly Six are demons, thus delight in cruelty. Lastly, Metal Sonic HAS NO SOUL. Surge and Kit, on the other hand, are victims of cruelty AND are in the same age range as the heroes. They each deserve more chances than the afore mentioned villains COMBINED. Honestly, the same goes for the Skunk Brothers. Yes, they're bullies; but they're also often easy prey for bigger bullies, such as the 21+ year old villains. Vanilla was even able to get them to behave for a whole evening. If that can happen, there's no reason to NOT give Surge and Kit chances. Plus, Sonic DOES have a point about Mecha Sonic. He was hurting inside just like Kit and Surge are, and he was able to find relief.

@@videogollumer main issue is Kit might not be as easy to turn around as Surge, Surge is chaotic but doesn't seem to hold a grudge against them, she's saved that for Starline, who she was getting haunted by thanks to trauma, Kit on the other hand absolutely despises Tails, thinking he lied to him on purpose, he took it very personally and the comic really pushes that Kit has no intention of being buddies with the Restoration. So if Surge does go against Clutch's wishes, we might have a moment where kit feels betrayed again. So there might be a crazy moment there.

Clutch might be related to surge given their fur color and and invert look of their eyes. Plus having clutch give up on surge just to make cash would be an interesting yet making him just as bad as starline. Though i doubt tbey would go that route... Right?

Clutch is an opossum and Surge is a tenrec, so I doubt it. Theres no hybrid features on Surge as far as we can tell. However, that doesnt mean Clutch doesn't know who she is, maybe he really does and isnt lying, though i suspect It was Clutch who gave Surge and Kit to Starline, my personal guess? they were orphans from various Eggman conflicts. Easy to take off the street.
Technically Sonic has made reference to 06 events, which silver didn't remember, and crisis city appeared in generations distorted timeline. It's possible he's the only one who remembers.

In the Japanese version of Team Sonic Racing does Sonic even directly references there first meeting in 06 to which Silver had no memories off.
The only thing implying anything of the like of Silver knowing is a small blurb from the Sonic Fast Friends Forever webside that directly contradicts Silver and Blaze first post-06 meeting in Colors DS.

So, he knows it was bad and SOMETHING changed it but can't remember what. So, I think it confirms it that Silver doesn't remember the events like Sonic does but has that familiar sense of deja vu that he had when he (re)met Blaze in colors ds.

You know what would be a cool spinoff story, if Sonic never held back. Like how in Spiderman 3, and yes I do like Spiderman 3 I have to admit it wasn’t a bad movie, I just found it really entertaining and kinda dumb but that’s what I enjoy about. But it would be crazy to see if Sonic never held back against his enemies, and to see how his friends and enemies would think of him when they see a different Sonic. A broken Sonic after the Metal virus, a Sonic that always use all of his power, it would be interesting to see what would happen to Eggman, Surge and Kit, and Starline before he died. Well if anyone see’s my ramblings welp, I hope you enjoyed it.

Hey, I'm thinking about doing a sonic version of justice league gods and monsters. I figured I'd use shadow and blaze as the superman and wonder woman, but I'm having trouble figuring out which sonic character would be the batman of the story. Thoughts?
I was surprised that I liked this comic. I was not a fan of Surge and Kit after the last arc.
Maybe it's because the comic finished up the "feel sad for Surge and Kit" saga.
Now Surge and Kit feel like genuine bad guy, and I like it a lot.
I also like how Sonic is portrayed here. He gives people a second chance, but that doesn't mean he trust them. And the light little threat he throws back at Surge is nice.
I'll had to double-check the comic because it felt like so much was put in this one single issue. But it didn't feel crammed either
I have an idea of what they could do with durge and kit.
Surge after spending time with others of the main cast abd some background characters she could start to enjoy her time and i could see her trying to out hero sonic at times. Kinda like a sonic to sonic. And i can imagen that kit becomes a shadow to tails. Aka shadow and sonic but kit and tails. But when it all gose down i can see surge having a brakedown and not wanting to hurt the people she has met and or not knowing who to trust and just freezing in place. I can imagen sonic or someone seeing this and seeing surge as a kid who just needs a good role model. But kit and mimick doing the plan without problems.
I could imagen a plot point where surge has to choose her pas or her future. Learn who she was but close the door for a better future or let go of her pass so she can have a bright future.
I don't know if it's just me but In my mind Clutch has the voice of Cedric the Entertainer playing a pimp

Well Sonic can lose, he just has to win eventually. Ian's Archie run was under that mandate and it didn't impact the storytelling that much nor did it stop the Metal Virus arc from happening.
I mean Clutch winning would technically not count as a lost for Sonic as he isn't a formal member of the Restauration that L would be firmly carried on Jewels back with Belle, Tangle, Whisper and Lanolin also getting hit by it (and maybe a bit Amy as she despite no longer being the official leader does tend to help out a lot still).
When clutch takes over, what will his reaction be when he finds out scrapnik island exists
I doubt he would have the resources to be able to extract the scrap, being defended by robots and all, with one of them being Mecha Sonic. Trying that would probably be a net negative in business sense.
Never played the console version of Sonic Forces, but the mobile game is actually pretty fun, and I did get Surge after three days of playing.

Hm, things are certainly getting interesting now, doesn’t it? So, i guess the Misadventures Arc is still ongoing and a Hiatus, huh? Okay, sure, that’s fair, that’s probably a good way to gather hype,
Also, a Mini-Series set at the Classic Era, huh? I wonder what that will be about?
Anyway, a few things to unpack here:
First: I initially thought that once Surge would awake up after what happened, she was going to go straight back to plotting another scheme or something, but I guess Surge and Kit has just been chilling out at, what I guess counts as, their old home this entire time and just trying to figure out what to do with themselves, granted I had a feeling that could’ve been the case too, but I didn’t really know how else they could’ve been reintroduced.
Second: i thought Clutch fired the Skunk Brothers and Based on that little short flashback Clutch had about doing a meeting with Jewel, i would assume then that that particular meeting with Surge and Kit happened after him firing them, so i guess he rehired them? Huh, I guess Sonic isn’t the only who’s keen on Second Chances.
Third: and most of all, it appears that Surge and Kit’s sudden appearance really were due to them joining Clutch in his schemes, but due to more sympathetic reasons than I was expecting, it seems like they still would very much like to know more about their past, so in that sense it’s understandable why they went along with it, the Question is still though:
Will including them, really go as well as Clutch seem to think or will it backfire as maybe his worst blunder in his life?
Anyway, on another note on that, I do find it really interesting, that their little flashback at beginning of the Issue, started off with them pretty much complaining about their living condition, I can’t help but to think that tiny detail could be important later on,
Though, I have been saying they, but it’s mostly, if not only, been Surge who has been doing the complaining and the one who showed any interest in what Clutch could potentially know about them, among other things, while Kit has really just been moving along, which is pretty much the usual for I guess, but still we haven’t gotten anything about his opinions throughout this , with the exception that he apparently has it out for Tails now, I guess we’ll see how that pans out.
By the way, I didn’t think much of it initially, but after some thought, does anyone else feel like that Surge seems a little too …hm, mellow(?) in comparison to last time we saw her? I mean, she was such a ball of emotions before, had problem whatsoever with showing all the hatred and aggression she had, but now it feels like all of that has just vanished, now the reason why I am pointing this out, is not necessarily because of the hatred she had, but due to how she got it,
She was conditioned, practically programmed into her to hate and destroy Sonic and I feel like something like that probably is at least a little harder to get over than just a genuine hatred, so seeing her now, seemingly being so relaxed, especially while the guy who was the target of her hate being right next to her, i can’t help but to wonder, why?
Speaking of which, on top of that, with another thing i didn’t think much of initially, around the moment when Clutch revealed that he might know something about Surge and Kitsunami, Surge apparently seemed to realize that before he said anything and when she did, she looked behind her for some reason, now that could potentially not mean anything, but still why would realizing that there’s someone who might know something, make her look over her shoulder? Once again, I can’t help but to wonder, why?
Well, regardless, I guess we’ll find out in the coming Issues, it’s going to be very interesting to see how this Arc will play out from here,
but in the meantime, what is any of yours’ current Theories so far about how this Arc might play out? I would like to know.

Rocking with the with Wispins all the time you gotta build the fearing rhyme! [Speaking of shipping I already did a fan story talking about people probably going to start shipping Clutch with Crystal! I just hope Clutch starts going a little more David then lex? After all revenge is a poor man's game?]
Well I can predict that clutch will betray surge and kit when he gets what he wants
And Amy would give surge and kit to reflect on their actions and see the errors of their ways
And as mimic well I definitely see him dipping out when clutch needs him the most when he's plan backfired
What are the chances once she finds out if Clutch is her relative and sold her to Starline, she will dethrone him so fast that she takes control of his base with Kit in tech control?
I have a feeling that Clutch might lie to Surge and Kit about what he knows. And my only reason is that Clutch runs a business that is shady in nature. He needs people that could follow his every biting. So what else would Clutch do? He would lie about their past just to keep them in line.
By the way, this same scenario happened to Shadow in Shadow the Hedgehog. Shadow wanted answers about his past well he had amnesia from that fall from earth after SA2. Shadow confronted Eggman about his memories. Eggman lied to Shadow and claimed that "he had no past." But at the end of Shadow the Hedgehog, Eggman reveled he was lying to him all this time and said that he was the real Shadow. So I don't know about you, but I don't trust Clutch for a second. Even if he wasn't lying about their past, I still don't think he'll be honest about the truth.
I do believe the restoration will be destroyed/taken over, being that Frontiers takes places sometime in the future after the current point in the IDW comics, there is not a single mention of the Restoration anywhere in Frontiers, a game known to make a lot of little specific references, to the comics included, i suspect something really bad happened to the point where the cast would rather not bring it up. And the comics are now building up to that moment.
It's possible that could be averted but I think that hinges entirely on Surge going against Clutch or not, if she really does warm up to sonic and co, she will have to contend with Kit who seems absolutely dead set on killing Tails, as he seems to take things much more personally than Surge did, it would be a moment of betrayal for him and I feel like it would break him.
Better than the last issue that concerned this plotline, as it doesn't feel like they wrote the characters with -100 IQ points to make Mimic's subterfuge work. Still they need to give Lanolin some redeeming qualities back, Evan's writing of her ran counter to her arc that introduced her again in the egg city arc, #64 made her out to be a grizzled, stern veteran even though shes actually the least experienced of all of them and was self professed newbie.
Surge may have a change of heart and look at Sonics face hes up to something.

3:28 4:10. It be a surprise and interesting for Surge if she somehow found out about Sonic past actions of possible murder or life confinement. When he and his friends try to kill Chaos before they know his full backstory. The black arms invasion where Sonic and his allies fought the black arms and possibly killed some soldiers. Also, the storybook series where Sonic puts Erazor Djinn in a lamb forever and doesn't mind regicide against King Arthur Without knowing he was a fake. If Sonic's friends don't question him or themselves on why they allow Eggman to live, and confine or kill other villains. Like Rough and Tumble who are less dangerous than Eggman.
